We chose Creekside because it felt like a home”not a facility”and that instinct has proven absolutely right. When our family made the decision to move my dad from across the country to our hometown of Coeur d’Alene, we were honestly nervous. He had been living at another memory care location where he rarely left his room. The staff there was less than fully professional, and at times the quality of care left us uneasy. Dad would often ask to be taken out of that environment, which is something no family wants to hear. After researching multiple communities in the area, we chose Creekside Inn Memory Care”primarily because from the moment we walked in, it felt warm, welcoming, and truly like a home. We saw friendly staff, a clean and well-kept environment, and residents who appeared engaged and cared for. It didn’t feel institutional. It felt personal. Since moving Dad to Creekside, we have not been disappointed”not once. He arrived with several leg wounds, and Autumn and the team immediately took action, bringing in the appropriate professionals to address his care. His legs are already improving. Where he had previously been allowed to sleep in a chair, Creekside gently worked with him and now helps him sleep in a bed nightly”a meaningful and welcomed change for his health and dignity. His clothes are washed frequently, his room is cleaned daily, and he receives his weekly showers exactly as promised. These details matter. What matters even more is this: Dad is happy. He used to beg to be moved from where he was. Now he smiles, says see you later, and settles in comfortably. He has made friends. He participates in activities. He interacts. He is engaged. That transformation alone speaks volumes. I truly cannot say enough about the staff”Matt, Natasha, Jed, Jay, Ethan, Autumn, Lexi, Kayla, Faith, Izzy, Melanie, Brandi, and so many others who care not only for my dad but for all the residents. I have witnessed nothing but compassion, patience, professionalism, and genuine love. They treat residents with dignity and families with respect. Entrusting someone with your parent’s care is one of the heaviest decisions you will ever make. We feel incredibly blessed to have Dad under the care and protection of Creekside Inn. My mother spent the laat 3 years of her life at Creekside. With very few exceptions, the staff at Creekside had a real heart for the residents and they deserve 5 stars. In fact, some went above and beyond. With that said, an organization is only as efficacious as its leadership. In my opinion, at Creekside the leadership resembles more the management of a self-storage facility where they take no responsibility for an old TV that you stored with them rather than a memory care facility where you entrust the care and safety of your loved one suffering from Dementia. During my mother’s time at Creekside, she fell, her wheelchair and motion alarm disappeared and her wedding ring vanished. In each instance, Creekside’s default response was, it happens; we’re not responsible. Two days before my mother’s passing, while discussing another incident, the care staff mentioned that she had stopped eating the previous week yet they apparently felt no need to inform me until several days had elapsed. Obviously, accidents and oversights happen in every organization. The test of an organization’s leadership and integrity is whether they accept responsibility or disavow responsibility for instances under their control. In my experience, Creekside is the latter which is unacceptable when entrusted with vulnerable individuals and their property.

My mom entered into care at Creekside in 2021. She was already in an advanced stage of Alzheimer's at that time. The staff at Creekside took excellent care of her over the years and were always very kind and respectful toward her family, as well. When mom passed away on August 22, 2025, the staff treated her and me with grace, dignity and respect. I will always be thankful for the care Creekside provided for my mom and would highly recommend their community to anyone who has need of memory care for a loved one.

Creekside and Matt Wells came to us after we had the guidance and care of Stacey Mora at Firstlight and Beth Gwinn at Oasis. Within hours of needing to find a place for mom, Matt contacted us and set up a call. Even though he was out of town and in a different time zone.he made it happen! That was the beginning of a beautiful venture with a knowledgeable person who knows what it takes to place a loved one in care and to guide and educate us about the experience. You don’t know what to do until you get to this place. Matt knows what to do and he is dealing with you as if you are his own family. There is total honesty and trust. No red flags no lack of disclosure. Plus the trips he made to the hospital, to the nursing home and then to take mom to Creekside. Many early morning calls to check in and assure us all was well. No question we had went unanswered. We live hours and states away. Matt Wells and his positive attitude and chuckle make everything possible. A loving home for mom and our peace of mind .

We moved my husband in about a week ago. It is a bit chaotic due to the hospitals lack of coordination with the facility. Matt and Alina bent over backwards to make it happen so that my husband could be discharged from the hospital directly to the facility. It was very important that I had the time to set up his room with some of his treasured items before he arrived. It has been a difficult transition for him. I would say my only real concern has been the food is inconsistent. Sometimes it is quite good but other times it is not even palatable. Perhaps this is due to different cooks. We are not used to eating canned fruits and vegetables and a lot of heavy syrup. The staff has tried to accommodate us which I appreciate. They have been great in this very difficult time.

They do not care about your family they just want the money all they do is complain about about the family member they said my father was raising his hands to people an acting in appropriately to people instead of trying to help they kicked him out a day after having a meeting so if they are their to help why would they kick him out stay away from this place they just cause problems

In 2018 our Mom moved into brand-new Springs Ranch (SR) Memory Care (Colorado Springs) which provided excellent care; its layout, cleanliness and d©cor were on par with a 5-star hotel, and Mom quickly adapted to her new environment. When COVID lockdowns began in March 2020 and ended our visits from Idaho indefinitely, on May 4 we inquired about relocating Mom to Creekside Memory Care just minutes away - and on May 26 we escorted Mom to Creekside which is basically identical to SR, so much so that Mom probably believes she is still in Colorado! As at SR, Creekside’s staff is an absolute pleasure to interact with, and we’re all eagerly awaiting resuming normal activities such as bus rides. To sum up, we applaud Creekside's perfect success thus far at keeping residents COVID-free, and we greatly appreciate the always-positive interaction we’ve enjoyed with these friendly, competent, and caring people since Day 1. Mom is very happy here and she could not be living in a better place.

We are generally satisfied with Creekside Inn except that they do not serve diabetic meals. However, we have discussed that issue with the staff and they admitted that it could not be done. They just manage the insulin levels. Our most serious concern is with regards to a flyer you sent us approximately two years ago offering $1000 if we gave a referral who moved in for a minimum of 3 months. We did that and never received confirmation or the money. About 6 months later, we emailed to Koelsh asking about this and never received a reply. We continue to be curious about why a reputable company would offer something and never follow through with it.

I moved Joan to Creekside Inn from Canterbury Gardens (Longview Wa) 3 days after discovering they were both part of the Koelsch Senior Community . We had lived in Coeur d Alene for 8 yrs. before moving to Shelton. While still in Coeur d Alene I had toured Creekside Inn with the thought in mind of moving my Mother from Bremerton,Wa. (dementia)to their facility. I was very impressed with the staff and the facility in general. Ran into a snag in regards to needing(in advance) an attending physician. So nothing came of it except planting the seed that it would be just the right environment for Joan when I could no longer provide in-home care. That time came 2 years later. Fast forward to the 17 months Joan lived at Creekside Inn, not every day was a good day for Joan , but her down times were never a result of staff inattenion, always an outgrowth of her Lewy Body dementia. Joan always had a smile for me and always a smile and kind word for the staff (before the evening terrors inherent with her form of dementia set in). The 3 different shifts would see 3 different Joans,each shift caregiver did a great job of caring for and loving Joan. She ate more and healthier than I could accomplish when I was responsible for her care. The attending shift nurses provided excellent care/monitoring of her health. My experience with front office staff was exceptional. I trained as a State of Idaho Ombudsman and knew where some of the "dark secrets" of elder care were buried. I never saw any that was cause for concern! I truly love them all!! Joan has been gone 4 months, I'm still attending Creeksides Support group monthly. I do a "walk about" with my dog for the benefit of residents and honestly for the hugs I get from staff. LARRY loving Husband of Joan

Dad could not be in a better place. Having Dad at Creekside gives me such peace of mind. Every single employee there is so special. They are loving and compassionate. They do things for my dad that no one should ever have to do. Alzheimers is a sad and awful disease. But to know that my dad is loved and cared for from the deepest part of the employees hearts, helps me sleep at night. I often call at odd hours. They always take the time I need to answer any questions. Even through my tears of missing my dad. Not in a physical sense. I miss the man who raised me. Creekside understands and is always comforting. I have witnessed the staff love on all the residents. Love in such a caring unimaginable way. Caring and doing for those who can not do for themselves.
