The Good Samaritan Home helps the homeless to get off the streets and gives them a place to start a rental history so they have a good chance to get into a apartment. It is a SRO (single room occupancy) you have your own bathroom and it comes with a bed with bedding you have a dresser and if you need and would like you can get a t.v and if you have enough room you can have a chair. My dog and I moved to Boise from Portland after my husband passed away. I was homeless for a total of 8 years 2 of them here in Boise. I went and got on the waiting list for a room. I had no rental history but they still gave me a chance. I am so glad that they did. The staff is great. They treat everyone like family. They supply 3 meals cable all lights and heat they also have free laundry and housekeeping. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR GIVING ME A CHANCE.

The Good Samaritan House is a place of refuge and hope. The residents are former homeless people, disabled people, and people who are in need of a low income housing opportunity. The GSH provides many amenities such as 3 meals a day, laundry facility, and cleaning of the rooms weekly. The rooms are the size of a studio apartment and have a dresser, twin bed, tv, and a chair. The GSH staff provide the bedding and pillows and towels along with the necessary hygiene items. The bathroom is ample and each corridor has a community shower, one for males and one for females. All in all it's step in the right direction for all of the residents. Thank you GSH for giving me the opportunity to have a place I can call home.
