For memory care the price being paid the facility should have provided better care as ADL’s declined. Was basically left “alone” and only received basic care (meals, medication dispensing, laundry - laundry was lacking in inability of staff to ensure clothing remained with resident). Provided care didn’t include assistance with cleaning up after an accident, skin checks not accomplished as discovered when moved to new care facility- discovered non-maintained skin rash with developed sore. Change over from prior management did not resolve issues. Staff were basically overpaid teenagers babysitting. No control on residents “shopping” in other resident rooms. No communication from management, especially when discovered mattress was replaced with non-fitting mattress for size of bed frame. While facility looks nice, appearance is only skin deep and doesn’t reflect the level of care being provided. Memory care was basically assisted living except residents couldn’t leave, where residents were allowed to live however they wanted regardless of their need of assistance with ADL’s. Moving from one memory facility to another is traumatic, however after leaving Barber Station the new facility helped with the adjustment and care now being received surpasses the lack of care received at Barber Station.

Would be a much better place for the vulnerable residents if this girl was not hired here. I thought a place charging extortionate prices to care for people who are in the later stages of life would have a much better screening process that eliminates working girls and criminals

I am an outside hospice agency that goes to a lot of facilities throughout my day and this place is THE BEST in Boise/Treasure Valley I've been to. Staff are very attentive to the residents. The management is easy to speak to with any concerns. The building is beautiful and clean. I find myself visiting longer. They have a "Wall of Honor" that is just a wonderful way to honor our veterans .

My folks moved into the facility back in September 2023, unfortunately my mother passed in October from complications from a broken femur months before. Our family was extremely pleased with the care that she was giving before her passing. The care that my father receives every day is fantastic. Their staff is amazing and they really care about the residents. They have far exceeded our expectations as well as my dads. Oh, and the facility is like new with open spaces and hallways with a modern look and feel. We highly recommend you investigate this facility if you need assisted living accommodations.

My mother has been living here in memory care for 5 weeks now and I am very happy with the facility and the staff. The staff is very friendly and helpful, my mom loves the food, and the open feel of the common areas make it feel like you are in a nice hotel.

After 3 disappointments in other highly recommended (and well known) facilities that failed to deliver care and adequate communication with family as promised we finally found a facility that delivers everything promised so we feel secure that our brother will have the highest quality of life possible. They literally saved his life when we discovered a bandage on his elbow that the former placement failed to mention when we moved him which brought immediate action when I asked the nurse at BS to look at it because the she could tell by looking and reviewing his medical history that this needed aggressive treatment. It was an aggressive infection. She coordinated everything for us and kept us fully informed. Had she not been so pro-active, minimally my brother would have lost his arm, maximally his life. Neither happened. We are very impressed with EVERY staff member that we have met. We HIGHLY recommend their memory care unit as they truly understand dementia and how to approach and gain confidence of the patient, and how important communication and teamwork with the family is.

Beautiful community in such a wonderful part of the valley. I’ve loved working with the staff and managers of this facility. They take great pride in the care they give to their residents. The food is great and made by real chefs with real restaurant experience. The facility is practically brand new and well taken care of.

Barber Station has an amazing team that always works together to do anything for the residents. The caregivers at this building are so caring and passionate to help the residents. The kitchen team always makes delicious meals. Every week they have a theme lunch meal that residents enjoy. Neva whos in charge of activities always has a full schedule for all the residents and keeps them busy with exercising classes, bingo, dressed up theme lunches and many more. Also this team worked together when we open the COVID unit next door to help all those residents that had been affected by the virus from different facilities.

You wont find more caring staff than you will at Veranda. While Executive Director at another assisted living community, Kerri led her team to take incredible care of my Grandmother during her last years. I couldnt be more grateful. This is the nicest community in Boise. I love the staff. Everything is clean and new. Phenomenal location next to the greenbelt and Marianne Williams Park. Excited for the new Albertsons next door.

We just move my mother-in-law into this location recently and I have to say that the staff has been phenomenal. They have taken care of all of our needs and my mother-in-laws needs. They have made us feel safe and secure for the service they provide. We could not of asked for a better company to help us transition my mother-in-law from her home to their home. Honestly this is the best company in the valley I would highly recommend them.

In my 20 plus years of working in the medical field I very proud to have found a career with a company that has such high standards for their staff and for the lives and comfort of their residents. Linsay gets us everything we need make our jobs easier and the residents lives better. She even doned scrubs and gloves then hit the floor for my first few days of training at Barber.
