Nurse Liz is very caring and compassionate! The atmosphere is very welcoming, and the staff is very friendly with a smile on their face. Rooms always appear clean and tidy.

I went there to see how it would be for me. The person who was the most impressive was a nurse Lyon. She was so helpful and full of knowledge. When the time comes this is definitely the place I will go. You have a fantastic person there Nurse Lyon is the very best anywhere. This place is fantastic any Very caring for there residents.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Bickford of West Des Moines! The staff is very attentive to the residents always making sure all of their day to day needs are met as well as fun activities to participate in. It is very organized, clean & safe definitely a homelike environment. I highly recommend a tour if you are looking for assisted living for yourself or a loved one. The sales staff answered all of my questions throughly.

I recently volunteered at Bickford of West Des Moines to decorate for the Christmas season. I was very impressed with the employees' commitment to making Bickford a great place for the residents to live. In my time I spent there I could tell that part of the culture is to make the residents number one. Employees go out of their way to put a smile on the residents' faces. They truly went the extra mile to make sure that the Christmas season was special for all of their residents at Bickford. It made me feel like my time was well spent to help out an organization the cares so much about their residents. I would recommend Bickford to anyone looking for an assisted living facility or even just more information about assisted living facility for the future.

Bickford was very helpful when I was checking for assistance for my mother. We ended up putting her in nursing home but Bickford was a very nice and comfortable place for people to live.It felt like home.

Bickford was available when we most needed the help in finding a place for Mom. Room was adequate and well priced. The quality of care with her Alzheimer's, is awesome because she can still feel semi-independent, and I feel good about that. The food and amenities are also also great. Conveniently located too in West Des Moines. What more could you ask for in a safe and caring place for Mom?

As an employee of Bickford, and seeing the cares and the amount time and love every one has for our residents here, I would want my family to be here for assisted living and memory care. I constantly see staff members and management go above and beyond for these residents every single day. Our director is bringing some amazing and positive changes to the facility, and overall care and happiness of the residents is her first priority. Staff upon hire are trained in dementia programming and meet state qualifications. Housekeeping does an AMAZING job making sure Bickford feels like home for everyone. Our Maintenance coordinator is on top of upkeep and anything needing resolved. We maintain screening of all staff for COVID-19 to keep our residents and our Bickford family safe and healthy. I have only worked here for a few months and I LOVE coming to work. And with being able to love my job, it floods over into the happiness of residents. We cant wait for this pandemic to be over so we can go about and have more frequent family visits and have more group outings again.

Bickford is one of the most cleanest, have most caring staff and have the best care that my Great Grandmother received. I highly recommend Bickford Nursing Home for anyone that is looking for a place to stay

First one. My on line look: Space looked small and tight. But after I was their it was cozy like a home. Staff had been with them long term. Heidi was very helpful to me to understand the process. I liked it as it felt like a home.

I am happy with the staff they are very nice. Mom is doing really well and adjusting. they are really good there, if the residents don't come out they knock on their door and invite them to meals or activities so they know, its very helpful when you have dementia. The food is good and mom is not losing weight and eating well. They have things all day long like exercise, crafts, play bingo, different card games a lot more. I like it because it is smaller and not as many residents, more interaction and all on one level. It's easy for mom to get around.

I enjoyed my tour very much of this community, it was only three minutes walking distance from my house and a very convenient location. The staff was very professional and welcoming to my mother and I. I loved the fact that they where willing to work with local programs and rehabs to make sure my mom would get all of the help that she would need. Unfortunately they did not have any openings for my mother at the time so I had to choose a different facility.

My tour of this facility went pretty well. I met with head of the administration, and he was very kind and informative. From what I saw the community appeared to be well maintained. The staff was nice and friendly as well. It was a very nice tour.
