Sunrise has been extremely supportive of my family and our mom from the first day we started talking to them. Every single staff member treats mom with dignity and honestly , love. Knowing our mom is able to be a part of all of the activities, we can join her for family activities and she is being taken care of in a way we could not, makes Sunrise the best choice!

What a wonderful caring place!! The cleaning staff keep the place in tip top shape.. The activities staff always have fun things for the residents to do like balloon volleyball, bowling, bowling, bingo and hosting parties for all special holidays!! Every month there is a part for birthdays in that month. Church and religious studies are a part of the schedules as well. The food is delicious. I am so happy we found this loving caring place for our mother. Definitely gives us peace of mind knowing we are providing a great environment for her to live

My parents live at Sunrise. They are well cared for, and even more importantly, they feel a sense of community. The facilities may be frayed about the edges but the place is as comfortable as old jeans.

I live in a condo at Sunrise Retirement Community. It is the home that I enjoy living in over and above the other homes that I have lived at. It's safe, secure, private and the people are all friendly. I love the peacefulness of it.

I feel very blessed that we have been able to have both parents at Sunrise when we needed more help for them. Sunrise was an answer to prayer for my dad during his final weeks of life. My mother currently resides in the skilled nursing unit for dementia. I live several states away and it is incredibly difficult not being able to be near Mom as she struggles through dementia, but my one solace has been knowing that she is receiving the best care she could get. I have looked at a lot of care facilities both around Sioux City and where I currently live, and without a doubt, Sunrise was the best that I have seen by far. Sunrise is so clean and doesn't smell like a nursing home. It is fully staffed, which is rare to see in nursing homes these days where there are typically shortages and lots of turnover. My husband and I have been impressed on every visit with the friendliness of everyone there - even the cleaning and maintenance staff would call my mom by name and stop and chat with her. And multiple times the staff in Mom's units (esp while she was in assisted living) have gone above and beyond in assisting with her needs - she wasn't just a job for them, they truly cared about her wellbeing. I have been so grateful and touched by the care the staff has shown. I deeply appreciate what a topnotch facility Sunrise is and would recommend it to anyone looking for the best care for their family members.

Thanks for the great care you give my loved one. She was nervous about moving to the Pointe because she'd be giving up her family home, but we have all seen how the friendships she's made, along with the wonderful care, and excellent facilities have all lead to a positive transition and experience for her and our family.

Our loved one has been a resident at Sunrise for about a month. We are extremely happy with the care she has received. She has commented numerous times that the food is delicious and loves that they have a beauty shop on site! The have so many activities for residents to participate in and she has enjoyed them all. Communication with the administrators and nursing staff is great, and they have been so helpful guiding us as this is our first experience having a loved one in a care community. Also want to make special mention of the transportation team. We have had several doctors appointments and the driver is so nice!

Sunrise Retirement Community goes Above and Beyond caring for every Resident that lives there. My Mom is on Medicaid and has been in their Dementia skilled Nursing care for the past 4 years. Every staff member cares and treats every resident with love and respect. At SUNRISE, you just don’t live there, you feel like your HOME because your treated like FAMILY. We wouldn’t want her to be anywhere else. Thank You Sunrise Retirement Employees for being our HEROS.

Attended a recent event at Sunrise and witnessed several memory care residents participating in the Trunk or Treat fun with young children. The nursing staff brought them over to the location on campus and the residents were able to enjoy the interactions with the children and their families.
