This facility is truly a hidden gem in the Siouxland area. The staff are absolutely amazing and care deeply for their residents. The building is comfortable and feels like home. I can’t say enough good things about this senior living facility. From the moment you walk in, the staff is welcoming, kind, and genuinely cares about the residents. The building is clean, safe, and comfortable, and it really feels like a community rather than just a place to live. Floyd Place was an excellent facility while my grandma was there! It was clean and secure; the two best things. While she may not have been the nicest resident at times, she was always cared for with dignity and respect.

Floyd House in Sgt Bluff is wonderful! My mother has been living there for about a year and a half. The staff is always accommodating and friendly. The family picnic last night was fun and it is great meeting the family of other residents.

Both of my parents have been living at Floyd House for about 2 yrs now. They are very comfortable there. Mom said from the minute she walked in this was the place she wanted to be at! The atmosphere is very homey and the staff are all very kind, supportive, loving people that have taken great care of them. The food is amazing! About every few months Floyd house hosts a dinner/ special event inviting all family members to attend. My sibling's and I always attend because it is a great way for everyone to socialize and meet other families that have loved ones living at Floyd too. The kitchen staff work their tails off preparing for the event. The fabulous buffets never disappoint and all staff help serve us. Last Sunday's brunch buffet was delicious. Thank you for making my parents feel truly at home, you all make a difference in their lives and we appreciate you! If your looking for a place where the staff put the residents first this is the right place to choose.

A relative of mine is a resident of the Floyd House . I did not even know this assisted living place existed in Sergeant Bluff until the family researched where to temporarily place their loved one until she gained strength. I was impressed from the beginning with the staff being attentive and helpful. It seemed like one big family under this roof. Residents leave their doors open (if they wish) and other residents stop by to say hello (reminded me of my college days in the dorms.lol). The facility is very clean with a homey atmosphere. Activities are offered daily such as Bingo, puzzle and games time, etc. Love that laundry is provided simply by placing your dirty clothes hamper outside your door and like magic, it’s returned the same day (most days) back outside your door, all clean and folded! Food is tasty(so I am told) and residents get a choice of what to eat every day. We brought in her own bed from home and her favorite recliner but Floyd House had an extra tv and stand in storage so that helped with moving items from home to the Floyd House. Each room has their own mini fridge and kitchen sink with cabinets. All showers in each room are walk in showers and the bathrooms are huge! There is a nice outdoor sitting area in the central part of the facility (Floyd House is one big square with resident rooms going around the perimeter and a large open area in the center which is the outdoors, so if a resident goes outside, they won’t go too far and get lost!). They offered a family day to encourage loved ones to attend last Sunday complete with a free delicious breakfast buffet, for anyone wanting to visit and enjoy some family time. It was fun and relaxing. We ended up staying almost three hours and had a great time! The Floyd House provides a few extra complimentary side rooms near the office area, complete with tables and chairs for larger family gatherings to utilize. Overall, I would highly recommend the Floyd House for anyone looking for a temporary or permanent facility for the aging.

I have visited Floyd Senior Living on many occasions and I feel like it is one of the most beautiful senior living facilities I have been to. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The key thing is when I see the tenants they are always happy and seem to be living their best life. Would definitely recommend!

Recently moved my mother into Floyd Place and have been nothing but extremely satisfied with the care and attention she is getting. The 3 daily meals in the dining room are freshly made and very good, plus she is offered snacks twice a day. They have daily activities that the residents can participate in along with a beautiful main living room with a beautiful fire place. They also have weekly scheduled outings the residents can take as well as individuals and groups who come in to entertain the residents. The best part of Floyd Place are the employees. From the manager down to the CNA's they are very friendly, helpful and really care about the residents living there. I am so glad we found this place for mom and anyone who has the opportunity to live here needs to jump at the opening!
