Wow, what a truly wonderful senior living center! Walking through the front doors you are greeted with beautiful, upscale decor that is so warm and welcoming. The executive director is very passionate about her residents and facility! The residents were out and about participating in activities, eating, and socializing. The apartments are large and spacious. What an absolute gem!!

I really enjoy the residents at Independence Village they are so good at keeping things fun and lively! The staff are also really friendly and helpful, if they are unsure with how to answer a question they will find it and get back to you with an answer as quickly as they can. I can also see how much hard work the staff have been putting into updating their building to improve the quality of life for their residents. The theatre room looks awesome! I appreciate all of the hard work you all put into making the elders lives better, they deserve the best and Independence Village is one of a kind!

The Executive Director is amazing! She is one of the most dedicated, caring, and supportive people Ive ever met. It is clear that she cares about the residents and pours her heart, soul, and energy into the people she serves. Her leadership would make me feel comfortable sending a loved one to Independence Village. The knowledge that someone is looking out for the residents wellbeing and actually cares about them makes such a huge difference and impact.

I have been coming to this building as a Home Health Specialist for over 2 years now and am very impressed. The current executive director (formerly the director of nursing) is very proactive in addressing all her residents needs from clinical to everyday challenges. She treats her residents like family including those on the independent living side. I frequent a multitude of assisted livings and feel Vriendschap Village truly is in a category by itself. The other staff members are engaging, and trustworthy as well. I would not hesitate to send my loved one there! Great place with fantastic people!

Putting your family member in someone elses care is difficult but Vriendschap Village made the transition for all parties much easier. They worked with us every step of the way and truly treat all of us like a big family. Our Dad has finally learned to relax and enjoy his days which brings comfort to us. Cant say enough good about the staff, they are all our daily heroes for him especially Denise.

My parents were residents of Vriendschap Village for several years. Their care requirements ranged widely during their stay. The leadership & staff of Vriendschap stayed ahead of their needs, with care & compassion always. The culture of the Vriendschap staff was amazing, they truly cared for my parents with all of their hearts. The facilities are very well maintained & clean. The activities were always fun for residents & family members alike! I will always be thankful for the contribution that the Vriendschap leaders and staff made to my parents life. I definitely recommend Vriendschap Village!!

None of us really want to face this hurdle, but Im glad we did with Vriendschap. I NEVER worry about dad, a resident of 3 yrs. Staff goes to great lengths to foster the feeling of community for the residents. Im updated immediately with any concerns, questions, etc. Covid has been addressed clearly and comprehensively. Staff is excellent and obviously chosen with care. 6 stars!!!

This community was a good choice for us. The location is convenient for us to get too so we can visit. My mom likes being here she has settled into her apartment very nicely she has enough space so that she is comfortable. The other residents and staff are very welcoming and friendly. Everything seems to be clean and well maintained. The food is pretty good. Overall I believe we made the right choice and I would recommend the community.

The calendar has a lot of activities. We would recommend the community for the good care and value to others families.

We really liked Vriendschap Village, and it's a newer facility. It's in very nice shape, so it's pretty nice. My mother-in-law liked it. The rooms are nice, and the living room is pretty big and had one fairly large bedroom and a nice-sized, eat-in kitchen where you could have a little table; my mother-in-law really likes that. The rooms also had a washer and dryer, and she really liked that about it too.
