This is a beautiful facility right off Rte 61 in Maquokita,IA. The view is beautiful, looking out the wall of windows in the main entrance you can see for miles, the rolling hills. The inside is bright and cheery, clean, and not so big, so it's easy to find your way around. I believe it is a hospital and rehab center all in one. My aunt was admitted to the center when she was very sick, and the nurses were very attentive to her needs. Her illness ended in her death at the facility, and they helped our family through every step of the dying process. It seemed like we were the only family there because we had their full attention around the clock, which made our ordeal a bit less traumatic. If I lived in this area, I would certainly choose this hospital over any of the larger ones.

I feel like I've always received excellent care, whether surgery, emergency, lab, radiology, or specialty clinics. I've worked in hospitals for quite a few years of my life and find that this hospital's care is comparable to much larger facilities. We need to support them so we don't lose them!

I had a procedure done today in the surgery department. Every single employee I came in contact with, from admissions, to anistisiaoligist, to every single nurse, were so amazing, kind and helpful. They worked together so well and in sync, that I would have sworn they worked together their entire careers. I cannot say enough how much I appreciated every single one of them and the care they gave me. From beginning to end, they made me feel important, cared for, relaxed and the whole procedure ran smoother than so many others told me it would, who had theirs done at other hospitals. I had to travel 40 minutes from home as that is where my surgeon works through and I was hesitant about that. But after my experience, I would travel 10 times that far, to receive the care that I did today! Thank you so much everyone! I appreciated it more than you'll ever know!

I've been a specialty clinic patient, I've been in physical therapy and used the radiology department several times. The Doctors, nurses and all the staff have been professional, friendly and all the services are top of the line.

Let me start by saying the nursing staff was wonderful abs attentive during our time in the ER!! I have used the ER a couple of times for my young children and the most recent will likely be the last especially if Dr Goodall is there! My daughter (6 months) had an ear infection a couple weeks prior. When I took her in to the ER at 2 am on a Monday morn it was due to her pulling at her ear and screaming/inconsolable. My daughter has never been a fussy baby unless she’s hurting. I explained all of this to Dr Goodall. He checked her ears and said they were fine and listened to her chest but she was crying so much he stopped and said she doesn’t want me touching her so she’s holding her breath. No a good excuse if you’re a Dr!! He ended up telling me it’s probably colic....yes colic at 6 months! Except then they sent me home with paperwork about colic abs how it occurs in babies 2-4 months of age. Tuesday morn at 9 am I had her to her own Dr and she said her ears were bright red and she was wheezing....and those ears didn’t get like that in that amount of time. So then I got charged $100 ER visit and I called management at the ER and explained the terrible service but they claim Dr made good notes and they couldn’t do anything for me. I will NOT be taking my children to Dr Goodall!!!! He’s terrible!!! Oh and the manager made sure to tell me if I need the ER the staff cannot tell me who is on call for physicians by phone because they don’t want people picking abs choosing physicians.....sounds like a repeated problem to me!

Had surgery here. The staff, nurses, clerks, Dr., anathesiolagist.. everyone... were super. Very friendly, compassionate, caring, helpful.. I can't say enough good about them. Thank you to you all.

Very attentive in the ER. I brought my son in for an eye injury and Dr Bybee, Gina and Tami were helpful and were able to remove the foreign object from his eye very quickly. No wait time.

Staff was very attentive to my mother, but the nurses were very rude. No bedside manner at all! They would ask her questions and when she was answering them, they got short with her.

Friendly staff, very clean, next to no wait time, but far from modern. An older hospital with very few updates. Have had both good and bad experiences with ER dept, but I think that has mostly to due with on-call doctor. Nursing staff is always the best I have dealt with. Wouldn't recommend for serious or life threatening situations but that is due to this hospital not being equipped to handle it.
