I wanted to share my experience with Iowa City rehab and health care. My dad was placed here by the university of iowa hospital, and at first wasn't so sure of the place. The building is old , and kind of far from where I lived, so visited wasn't going to be easy. So I was going to try to move him, but then I met the staff, they were amazing, very caring wonderful people They took the time to get to know my dad, and made sure he had everything he needed and wanted. That isn't an easy task considering he doesn't talk very well, it takes alot of patience. This has that and a whole lot more. Dad said the food was good also, and that in itself is a feat. Physical therapy did wonders for him also. The place as a whole was amazing, thanks again for everything

My husband had a very positive outcome w/rehab. Kim(therapist) was very supportive, taking an extraordinary amount of time explaining therapy being done and progress being made. My husband commented on how nice everyone was and that there was also someone available to provide assistance to him. Very grateful and comforted by all their care. Don't judge on how the building looks, it's the people inside that count and they were wonderful !

IC Rehab staff recently worked with one of the local hospitals and a local hospice to grant the dying wish of a good friend of mine which was to join his wife, who is currently a resident at IC Rehab, before he passed away. Multiple people moved heaven and earth to make this happen for them. It was such a sweet reunion and so very much appreciated.

I worked at Iowa City Rehab for a year in that time I witnessed such an evolution. Staff if always smiling willing to help eachother, residents seem happier. As a whole the improvements made over the last year are great. I was sad to leave my full time position because I really loved working with both the incredible staff as well as some of the most challenging residents. I would work there again in a heartbeat!

I have worked here over a year now. Many things have changed for the good, and many more thing are continuing to change. i love the residents and staff that work here. the staff are the best. to work here you have to be caring and enjoy working. this is like any other care center we are here to meet the needs of the residents. so some days may be easy and some days may be harder. but with great team working behind you it is always a good day. we have come along way this past year and we are continue to improve. so if you want to join a great team that is building and working to give our residents the best care this is the place to b

I want to commend Mr. Scott Berger and his energetic team of staff for the committed services they tirelessly provide for the residents at Iowa City Rehab and Healthcare Center. I was trained as an AIT at Iowa City Rehab and Health Care Center. Being as an AIT at this facility, the staff work 24 hours tirelessly to meet the needs of their residence. They are very polite in dealing with residents needs, conducting In-service training for their employees to be effective and efficient and most importantly their teamwork is a paramount goal at Iowa City Rehab and Health Care Center. Iowa City Rehab and Health Care Center, is a unique facility that is always willing to render their service for your needs. Once again, I must admit publicly that Iowa City Rehab and Health Care Center has prepare me to face all challenges I may encounter as an upcoming Administrator in my career. Iowa City Rehab and Health Care Center Management and Staff, I say thanks for the continious hard work, teamwork and services you provide to the residents and community.

Everyone here has been very helpful. I was in bad shape when I first got here and the CNAs had to lift me into the bed. They were very kind and caring- I dont know what I would have done without them! The nurses are very attentive to my needs and the aides went above and beyond in their work to make sure I was well cared for. The therapy staff here helped me regain strength, mobility, and confidence in my ability to walk and take care of myself. The social services director, Pam, and all office staff have helped me plan how I would get home and they set up in home care for me. They have done a lot of work just for me and I can't thank them enough for all they did. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs care.
