Have been here 8 months and hasn't been a meal been disappointed in. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. There are activities every day to help pass the time. Iam a card player and never a problem getting in a game of cards. Would give 10 star rating if could!!

My father required a little more consistent care, but he still wanted some autonomy. We evaluated a number of assisted living homes in the area. Patrick at Oak Park was very readily available through all our questions and concerns. When we decided to choose them he was instrumental in guiding us through every step. My father seems to be very happy there and definitely likes the food. The medical care team and staff there seem to on their game. I found the grounds very pleasant, clean and the rooms updated. No part of the facility looked old or worn. They keep up on things. Is a pleasant place.

My Dad has been living at Oak Park Place for almost one year now. He's in assisted living and has adjusted very well. Loves the food and ice cream parlor. The staff are always responsive to his needs and our questions. Suzanne and Patrick are awesome! His family knows he is safe and well cared for.

Last week I had the privilege of staying for 5 days with a relative who resides in the Assisted Living apartments at Oak Park Place. This facility is amazing. The staff is very friendly and everyone there makes a effort to call the residents by name. I also participated in many fun activities. I ate in the dining room every day. The menu is very versatile...the chefs make healthful and tasteful meals. Wish I had their personal chef at home! I look forward to another trip from Missouri in the near future.

I moved into Oak Park Place during the worst part of the pandemic in 2021. I was unable to visit, so Oak Park gave me a virtual tour. I selected one of the efficiency apartments in independent living. It is small, but has all the amenities I am used to, without all the upkeep. Housekeeping, 2 meals on Monday through Friday, a pub, ice cream parlor, a movie theater, beauty salon, and weight room are all a part of the residents lives. There are always scheduled activities and events available. However, in my opinion, the best thing about Oak Park is it’s staff! There are wonderful people who sincerely care about the people who live here! They are warm, compassionate, interesting, and friendly. I have lived in two other of the five top senior communities in Dubuque, but for my self, everything considered, this is the most comfortable place to call home! If you want to be busy, or enjoy staying to yourself, Oak Park Place gives you the option to enjoy your life the way you want! Transportation is also provided for doctor’s appointments, and the dining is always excellent! The quality of your daily life will be enhanced by living at Oak Park Place!

The welcoming environment that is provided at Oak Park helped me and my god mother make the best decision on where she could go and feel at home while still getting the extra care she needed. We met with Penny, who welcomed us and showed us around the facility and helped alleviate any of the concerns and often gave us information that we did not even think to ask during the visit. Once we had decided to move my god mother into Oak Park, Penny and the team made the transition as easy as possible! The care team and staff (especially Penny) has made my god mother feel at home over the last few weeks she has been there!

My mom has been at Oak Park Place just over a month. I have been and continue to be impressed with both the facility and the staff. The facility is very updated and clean. I think my moms favorite is the ice cream parlor. The staff is friendly and clearly love what they do. Its a pleasure to be around them. The director of sales has helped us every step of the way and continues to answer my never ending questions. Even during Covid they have managed to safely continue some of the activities. I am grateful for all they have done to make my moms transition as smooth as possible.

My mom and her pup moved into Oak Park Place on the 27th of October. So far everything is wonderful. Mom is enjoying the food. They get snacks in the afternoon. The staff has been extremely helpful. She has another week before she eats in the dining room but she is allowed to walk her dog, sit outside and enjoy this great fall weather. I can also take her for rides. Her apartment is lovely and clean. She has a little balcony she can sit on. I asked other residents how they like it there and they told me that the staff waits on them hand and foot. This place has been a blessing. I would highly recommend this facility.

While looking for an Assisted Living options in Dubuque. My mother was most impressed with Oak Park Place. The building is beautiful and the staff were extremely interested in her needs and what kind of things she would like to do during the day. On-site and off-site activities everyday the ability to have family dinners in a private beautiful dinning room was a big hit! Chapel services offered weekly was also another factor that has us leaning towards Oak Park Place for her next stage in life.

Oak Park is a great place! The staff is friendly and fun. The building is always clean and a great environment and the residence always have a smile on their face! We have nurses that go in from 24-Hour Care and they always feel welcome! I definitely recommend Oak Park if you have a family member needing Independent living, Assisted Living, or Memory Care.

The other day they even had a appreciation day for all professionals in the building plus for people coming in and out all day! When my husband and I moved in we didnt know a soul. We found that everyone was very welcoming. Became fast friends with another couple. We enjoy the activities and love to sing with the Oak Park Singers. The food is very good! The Head Chef is superb! The outings are very good. We have a good turnout. We love our apartment. We viewed several places and chose here at Oak Park Place. Staff do a great job also.

Lynae was very knowledgeable and detailed on our tour which in turn allowed us to find the perfect apartment. Our apartment has a balcony that faces North West which allows us to watch the beautiful sunsets. It is also right next to the sun room where we can enjoy our morning coffee or entertain guests. The quality and type of events is a strength. A recent example is the communication between Mrs. Kennedy and Mrs. Lincoln. Their education and background knowledge provided a strong dialogue between the two ladies. Another plus is the variety of exercise classes. Heather is open to residents suggestions. She conducts research, develops and demonstrates the new routine i.e. Tai Chi. Lastly, we want to mention how centrally located the community is to shopping, restaurants, churches, etc. The convenience of the amenities as well as the friendliness of the staff is appreciated. - Ed and Sue

I feel safe, the apartment is very nice, enjoy washer and dryer in my apartment, the food has improved, workers are very kind but do wear many hats. Waiting for a sewing room for us to use with some storage we now have one machine donated. Many quilters would like to be able to hang their quilts. Most needs are covered and my family does not worry about me. Enjoy the driver that can take us to most places. Started a Set N Sew every Monday where we can have show and tell share our skills and ideas in the beautiful sun rom.We have many talented people living here. If only we had a sewing room now to do charity work, we have made neat items for our memory care unit. Many choices of things to do. Post Office and really enjoy my full kitchen, baking most week ends and cooking. The internet has been upgraded. Easy to get to and family stops often. You have most needs. Now if we can get our sewing room and hang our quilts we would really be happy sewers and quilters. HA I do like it here.

As the Executive Director of the Dubuque County Veterans Affairs, it was a great pleasure to tour and interact with staff and Veterans, Spouses and dependents of this location. We were able to hold a Town Hall style meeting, to go over key Veterans benefits and entitlements. Bridget Stipanovich, was instrumental of planning this event to answer all the question about these benefits and entitlements and how the process works. We have lived here at Oak Park Place for the past 5 months, it was on of the smartest moves we have made! The staff is fantastic, can’t say enough about the staff, very accommodating. We have a spacious apartment with a full size kitchen. We love the fact it is 5 nights for fine dining. Its just just perfect for us. The place is beautiful and we love all the extras, the exercise room, beauty shop, and the wonderful new PUB with the fireplace, and the sun porch’s thru the building. Our first Christmas here we were very pleased by the wonderful Holiday parties, with a sirloin dinner, music, and gifts for everyone, and News Years EVE dinner serving Prime Rib and Champagne!! It was a good move for us!!!!!
