The residents staying with us love the support and help they get while also enjoying their privacy. Seniors have their choice of studio, 1 or 2 bedroom units. Apartments with private baths and kitchenettes are also available. The staff is some of the best in Des Moines, they're always available to help with any level of services our residents need. We can assist with medical reminders to designing exercise programs and scheduling entertainment events. The selection of meals at Ramsey Village are the results of many years of experience crafting menus. Our cooking staff constantly strives to make sure the dining experience is the best at our community.

My husband has been at Ramsey Village for a little over a year now. I have been very impressed with the care he receives from both the nurses and the aides. If they are going to change his medicine or do any other things for him, they call and let me know what is going on. They have a doctor that comes in every week to check on the residents. Every day there is some activity they can do if they want to. The food is good. They are a little short-staffed at this time, but the employees they have do everything possible to meet the needs of everyone here. I would definitely recommend Ramsey Village over any other place I checked into.

Dale has been at Ramsey for almost a year and it feels like we are all one family. Care has been thoughtful and the follow through is most appreciated. The atmosphere makes one feel at home and comfortable. So grateful for the care.

Because I live alone hospital staff told me I needed to go to a skilled nursing facility to work on regaining function after knee surgery. I thought "oh no I'm not ready for a nursing home" But I was only there for a short period and everyone was so accommodating and friendly. From kitchen staff to nursing and PT all were excellent. Thank you to all of you for for helping me get back home

Took my 93 year old dad with Alzheimers last week needing 24 hour care.Every time I popped in dad looked happy and content. Staff was assuring, friendly, and informative with his care. Mom and I feel we found the right place.

Mom and I recently took a tour of Ramsey Village. We were wanting information on the community for possible future services. Rylan, Mallory and everyone there were great, very knowledgeable and genuinely kind. We have moved them to the very top of the list when the time comes that we may need any of their services. If you are looking for a continuous care facility, do yourself a favor and take a tour of this community!

My mother unfortunately has had to have additional care after falls and illnesses. The Ramsey village is a nice facility with excellent staff. The are always communicating to make sure the family is involved. Sarah the social worker has gone above and beyond to help with important requests. I highly recommend.

My 84-year-old mother has had to come to Ramsey several times after a stroke-seizure or other medical issue since 2017, and every time the staff care for her and improve her quality of life with therapy. She has become friends with the staff and has even decided that if I have to leave for a short time, she will return to Ramsey for Respite Care. From the meals to the top-notch staff of therapists, we have no complaints. She would post herself, but her stroke makes it difficult to type. In her own words, she thanks ...all of the staff and especially the ones that helped me to get well to learn to walk better and to get my talking better. I would never go to any place except to Ramsey as they have the best place around here. This last visit was difficult at best due to current pandemic of COVID-19. She had spent 2 weeks in the hospital after her seizure without anyone to help her so when she went and spent 3 weeks at Ramsey, it lifted her spirits because she was anxious to begin the work of getting stronger and visit with her friends. Not every day is rainbows and unicorns, but Ramsey does their best every day to make it that way for their residents. The staff are passionate about their work and it shows in their efforts. ~ Vivian

My mom was at Ramsey for two weeks post surgery for rehab. It was a great and caring experience. We would definitely recommend and if needed would consider this facility again!

After much research and many visits to other facilities to find a quality living apartment for dad, Ramsey ended up checking all the boxes for now and in the future. I feel he is getting the best care possible by a outstanding staff that makes it a comfortable and safe environment. I talk to him daily and trust me he would tell me if he wasnt happy. The management team are quick to respond and if I need a question answered they care for the residents like they are family. Thank you to all the staff for taking care of my dad.

Ramsey Village has incredible long term staff who all love what they do. They have a terrific management company as evidenced by the loyalty of the staff. It is definitely the best kept secret in Des Moines! I would love to show it to you!

The community has welcomed us warmly. Everyone has been caring in word and deed. All are treated as family irregardless of socioeconomic status. Weve learned that Ramsey Village is a not for profit five star healthcare facility too.

Ramsey Village has been amazing! My father in law fell in November ‘18 and he required surgery for a torn quadricep. He was the sole caregiver for my mother in law who has had significant decline in memory from dementia. He had surgery and we were able to place her in respit care while he was in the hospital. They determined she needed to be in the locked area in The Courtyards. It was a difficult transition. He was in assisted while recovering and doing therapy until he could be released. At that point he moved to independent living at Ramsey. They have both been there since November and Ramsey staff are exceptional. Great care, good food, everything is so clean. We have had numerous med changes for her and she is still struggling with giving up independence. Its very hard. But Ramsey is responsive, caring and kind. We couldnt ask for better care! No place is perfect but compared to so many places I have been, Ramsey goes above and beyond to do their best. Thankful to have them caring for our very loved family members.

My Mother and Father were both at Ramsey Village. Mom was in AL for years. Ramsey Staff is the best. Mom got the best care and loving staff took care of her daily. They follow Iowa Regulations set by DIA and as I miss both my folks very much, I am so thankful and blessed they were at Ramsey. Only a person with no life and a Busy Body would give them a bad rating. I have in fact recommended this community to many and always will. THANK YOU RAMSEY VILLAGE....

Mom moved to Ramsey Village almost 3 years ago, first in an independent apartment, and recently to residential care where she has just a little more help that she needs. In all this time, Mom continues to say that she lives like a queen! She has made many friends at Ramsey, the food is excellent, and the people who take care of her are unfailingly kind and gracious. I worked in health care for a number of years and so have seen many retirement communities. Without hesitation, I can say I have never observed a higher level of quality and competence. We are well and truly blessed by the people at Ramsey Village. Thank you.

Though he was there such a short time, my grandfather was able to call Ramsey home. The staff was unbelievably supportive and caring of him and was a blessing to me and my family on his final day. Words cannot say how much we thank you.
