I get the unique perspective of this community as a volunteer in a lot of ways. I believe this is a Fantastic community! When you walk in you feel like you are walking in to the residents home, not a home. My mom loves spending time with the residents, their families and the staff when she can. This community is constantly improving the care and activities for the residents that live there. The staff, who care for the residents, work extremely hard and are good at their jobs. I would highly recommend checking this community out. (Full disclosure, my wife works here, but my opinion about this community remains the same, regardless of that fact)

I attended a wonderful program at Country Manor where we learned a great deal about Alzheimers Dementia. The facility staff were both incredibly hospitable knowledgeable.

Please take some of these reviews with a degree of sceptacism. It looks like the negative reviews are coming from people out of state that violate Googles Community Sharing policy of conflict of interest due to a former or current employment experience. This community is in Iowa. What they claim to know as facts clearly indicate a connection to an employee or management member. (How else would they claim to know inter workings of the community as they claim they do)The internet is a wonderful tool, but using it as as a weapon against a person or business is not considered a best practice, nor good common decency as a human being. Bullying should not be allowed nor tolerated by Google. In fact, they have a policy against it. Internet trolling does ZERO good for anyone involved.Do not base your decision on these reviews (any of them for that matter), go see the community, meet the staff, meet the management, but more importantly, meet the residents and their families. Do not take the word of disgruntled people or their freinds-family backing them as the gospel. All of the reviews displaying violations of Googles policy should be reported to Google as abuse of their policy by Country Manor - Their management company.Some of the comments further prove this may be a personal situation rather than a global one.They also borderline on harassment if you were asking my opinion.

I have noticed over the last week a number of reviews have showed up on this site. (When we were searching for a place, Countrty Manor had 0 reviews, now there are 10 plus!)My loved one has lived at country manor for a little while now, I do not know what it was like a year ago as we were not there. I will say that thus far our experience has been nothing but exceptional. I gave this a 4 star review because I believe the one building needs to be remodeled just like the other building. When you walk in the main entrance you are greeted by friendly faces, happy residents and a very caring staff. Some of the girls there work their butts off. We havent met them all yet, but have had great experiences thus far. The community is clean and truly feels like everyone cares. I had the privilege of meeting a few of the new management team members, and I must say, compared to the last place we were at and the other places we have toured, my family and I have been very impressed by the amount of care and attention they, not only give to us, but they also give to every other resident and family member that weve come in contact with. We noticed very early on that the management team has a very low tolerance for sub-par performance by employees. If there was a high turnover rate, maybe this explains it. Then again, maybe not, we didnt ask about staff turnover, maybe we should have. From our perspective, we view this as a very positive thing as we have a very low tolerance for poor care as well, as should anyone witth senior care. No place will ever be perfect for our loved one, no one will ever be able to take care of our loved one the way that we would. We looked for the place that fit us best, fit our loved one best, and that gave us the best feeling not only when we dropped our loved one off but every time we go and visit.I would highly recommend touring multiple places before you select the right fit for your family member. For us, country manor stood above the rest in many regards. The most noticeable, was the level of care we witnessed the staff and management team give to the current residents. We absolutely preferred the smaller community as opposed to the larger complex. We viewed this as a unique advantage country manor possesses. But not all people are the same, so please do yourself a favor and tour multiple communities, but do not let reviews or other peoples experiences make your decision for you. One drawback we could see is the lack of male caregivers. This wasnt an issue for us but it was noticeable. Unless you see it or experience it for yourself, you will not know what is or isnt a good fit. We struggled mightily to find a good fit, we truthfully cannot be happier with our decision (although it was not easy signing the papers, knowing we were going to move our loved one from their current environment) From our past experience, we know there will be turnover in staff and residents, that is inevitable, that seems to be the nature of senior care, which is unfortunate, but is a reality. But we feel fortunate to have found country manor. (If you remodel the older building, I would consider changing this to 5 stars). Thank you for caring for our loved one and taking a lot of weight off of our shoulders.

Country Manor is a wonderful establishment to send loved ones. The staff is knowledgeable and genuinely cares for their residents. We are lucky to have such a facility in the Quad Cities.

Without a doubt, Country Manor is a wonderful place for your loved ones. The care the staff gives is very companionate and caring. I visit a family member staying there on a regular basis and have never had any concerns. They treat everyone like family and make you feel welcome. 5-5 stars because having a family member cared for here has been a positive transition and I know they are getting excellent care.

This is a wonderful facility...no, its truly a home for those who need extra supports and care in the sunset of their lives. I find the current administrator to be an exceptionally compassionate soul, and I understand each of the residents are truly treated like family. A beautifully intimate setting for any senior who may need this level of service. Keep up the excellent care!
