Our mother recently passed away but for that last couple years she was a resident of the Memory Care unit at the Heritage at Fox Run. Wonderful place and super wonderful nursing assistants! The wholesale staff took care of truly loved our mother while she was there. They are the best. Thank you!

Mixed feelings. My mother recently moved into this facility. During our tour we were informed transportation to and from appointments was available and the first 2 were free. Any rides after were $10 a ride. However, when she moved in and got the paperwork it was actually $10 EACH WAY so really $20 a ride. There were other things that were not communicated accurately during our tour vs what was actually in the paperwork she signed. It would have been nice to receive the community guidelines during the tour and not when she signed so we could have all available information to review. They are still behind the times even with those moving in that know how to use the internet and smartphones. Payments are check or auto pay. There is no online portal to pay online. Any announcements are done through dropping off a piece of paper at their door. No announcements are sent out by email to residents. Covid procedure is non-existent. Again, we were told during the tour they would notify residents when there was a positive case to be told after move in they don't do that. One week they shut down the dining and activities due to positive cases, and the next, when there are new cases, everything is still ago for the older adults to mingle and spread it around more. Does not seem like they have the health and safety of their residents in mind. Be mindful that what is communicated during a visit may not be what is actually happening if you move into the facility. I am hopefully they may evolve for their new residents moving into the community and add an online portal, email communication, and improve their covid procedures, but time will tell.

The facility is bright and clean. No odor- a lot of amenities. Kim showed us around and she very patient, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. She was great!

Wonderful community in a lovely setting. Kimberly did a great job putting our family at ease during the sales process. We sampled the food and it was delicious. Mom and Dad haven't moved in yet, but so far we've been very impressed and are excited for them to begin this new chapter of their lives in this special community!

We were greeted at the door with big smiles and felt very welcome. Throughout the tour, we were greeted by several staff members wanting to connect, answer any questions, while providing a friendly welcome encounter. The building was clean, bright and cheerful with good inside and outside window lighting providing a relaxing ambiance. It was a pleasant and informative experience.

I have worked at EveryStep Hospice for the past 6 years. I along with the rest of the Hospice team partnership well with the staff at Fox Run to provide excellent end of life cares to their residents. Communication is a top requirement and theirs start from when we first get a referral and continues until our patient passes. The staff are very friendly, and genuinely care about the residents. The facility itself is well kept. We have enjoyed Sharing our veteran pinning program with their facility. Their staff attend when they can and participate in the ceremony when time allows. The staff seem to go above and beyond at times when patients return from the hospital, having a birthday, or otherwise just honored for a day. As a member of every step hospice company, formerly hospice with heart it has been a pleasure to work with the staff at Fox run and providing end of life care's

Having to move my beautiful 80 y/o mother out of her Wisconsin home of 62 years due to early onset dementia, we found the most beautiful place closer to us for her to call "Home". My father had been at Fox Run in Council Bluffs for almost six years until he recently passed away. I HIGHLY recommend this facility for your loved one. From Ron, the manager, to Molly, the activities director, to Jenny the nurse, they all worked as a team to keep my dad happy through his long struggle with dementia. When dad first moved to Fox Run in 2011, he had a car, a dog, and he was pretty independent. He went on virtually all of the amazing field trips that Fox Run provides for the residents (I wanted to go, too!), and we always received pictures and videos of his outings, many of which we used in his funeral video. As dad's health deteriorated, the staff at Fox Run was always there for him, caring and patient. At the end, hospice came in to Fox Run for two weeks, and it was wonderful that dad left this world in the place he called home, Fox Run. I hope Fox Run is still there in 25 years when I need it! Thanks to all of the staff for everything you did for my dad.

My mother lived at The Heritage at Fox Run, and I was thoroughly impressed with how beautiful and clean the community was. The staff were more friendly and caring than I could have ever imagined. I felt safe knowing my mother was being well taken care of. The staff and residents became apart of our extended family. I have recently decided to volunteer with the activities department in order to see my entire Fox Run family on a regular basis, as they have left a lasting impression on me! There is such a diversity of activities offered , that there is something for everyone to enjoy! I highly encourage anyone who is looking for an assisted living community to visit Fox Run and be apart of this wonderful family-like setting!

My grandfather has been a resident for a few years. I love the place and the staff. The facility is always cheerful and clean, decorated for the holidays. There are always daily activities for the residents, whether it's shopping, crafts, or special guests. The place is staffed with very special, kind, and caring people. I can't say enough about how the staff treats my grandfather and takes special care of him. It makes me feel confident that he's in good hands. I highly recommend The Heritage at Fox Run.
