My mom, Joan Wekander resided at the Hansen House for about a year. She recently passed and I want to commend the Hansen House and their compassionate staff that carried for my mom in her last days. I work in health care and know that the care that was given to my mom and her family exceeds what is normally received!! We feel blessed that she was surrounded by the people who truely loved her and gave care from their heart. Thank you!

The Christmas party was just wonderful. Good entertainment, good food and the residents were treated to nice presents. A good time was had by all.

The Hansen House is a wonderful home for your loved one who suffers from a dementia related disease! My mother suffered from Alzheimer's. The usual progression of the disease allowed her to stay in her home, then as she progressed she moved to an assisted living apartment, then into a nursing home. We were unable to find the right kind of setting for our mother. She was very unhappy in the nursing home setting, as she could yet do so much for herself and was capable of doing many things! When we found the Hansen House Memory Care Residence, they were still under construction! We wanted to know more! Ron gave us a tour of the unfinished building and talked with us about the plans, models, and ideas for the care of resident's with dementia diseases. We knew after talking with Ron that this was the future home for our mother! Hansen House did not open fast enough, we still had to wait until, they finished building and hiring of staff. Once Mom moved in they kept her busy like she liked to be! She helped set the table for meals, helped fold the laundry, she was able to do the things she wanted to do and was happy once again! As she progressed with her Alzheimer's Disease, staff were on top of things and adjusted care accordingly. I HIGHLY recommend the Hansen House for your loved one. It is truly a wonderful place to be able to live! Mom was finally released from her disease as she passed away in January 2014. Staff gave her the dignity, care and love that she so deserved up to the end of her life.
