If you are entirely healthy and capable of advocating for yourself, Grand Living is lovely with lots of activities thanks to Larinda, the relatively new Facets Director. It hasn't always been so great. If you are in need of any type of assistance or care, run away as fast as possible. Hopefully, the new Executive Director can turn things around. Right now, it is utterly dangerous due to outrageous neglect. My father moved in on September 1, 2022. I moved him out this week to another facility. Grand Living Indian Creek is responsible for the death of a man in memory care last August and has been fined $7500. What a sad testament to the value of life. Another man in memory care was severely injured on January 31, 2025. The public does not know if he survived his massive injuries. A number of people in leadership positions need to resign or be terminated.

Beautiful place with a friendly staff and so many activities! The food is delicious. Everything you need is here, including hair salon, spa and fitness. This place is spotless!

Dear Grand living , we cannot thank enough for the care and love you gave our mother. All our friends and family loved coming to visit her as everything was first class. They often remarked this is like a five star hotel On her last day , before she moved to the Hospice house, many staff members came up to hug her with a tearful hug. Goodbye.. She's so enjoyed her days there again so grateful for everyone at Grand living.

I came to Grand Living at Indian Creek to work as a server after one of the resident's daughters told me that they were hiring. I had only had experience in the restaurant world prior so coming into a retirement home setting. It was very uncommon ground. However, not only the staff here is incredible, but the residents are so friendly and welcoming. Every day is an exciting one filled with activities, music, great food, and lots and lots of love and laughter. When looking for somewhere to stay, Grand Living at Indian Creek is one that you should absolutely check out!

My Dad just recently moved in to Grand Living, it is a beautiful facility with every amenity a person could want for. The entire staff is top notch and there to meet every need of your loved one/s. Did I mention the food...I have to admit I was surprised to find out that the food is AMAZING! We love to eat out with my Dad but we will be choosing to eat with him at Grand Living because of the amazing food and the overall dining experience!!

Grand Living is the premier Senior Living Facility in Cedar Rapids! My husband and I moved here in late August 2023. There is no buy-in, first of all, and the rent is monthly, no lease. The staff and residents are truly amazing, so caring and happy to assist you in any way. As my husband's health declined, the most meaningful thing for me was that I was able to take care of him as long as possible. When I could no longer do that, I remained independent and he was Assisted Living, but we stayed in our apartment. When he required Hospice, it was again in our same apartment. That meant the world to me. He passed away and everyone supported me and still does! I'm forever grateful we found Grand Living and you will be, too!

Grand Living has been a fantastic experience for my Dad and Stepmom. The staff's exceptional care and genuine warmth have created a secure and inviting atmosphere. The well-designed apartments provide a comfortable living space, and the communal spaces are beautiful. The food is also exceptional. The diverse range of activities, from fitness classes to social events, ensure that you are never bored. I am very grateful for the exceptional care, comfort, and community that Grand Living offers!

I am a senior move manager and have been working in this wonderful community since they have opened. I hear nothing, but good things from the residents, I am in the building frequently doing moves. I know what wonderful care they give to all residents that live in the community. The food looks amazing and they have the most awesome activities for the residents. I've stayed in a Ritz Carlton and this definitely reminds me of that level of service!

A recommendation for Grand Living at Indian Creek By Jim and Jan De Young 1/31//24 With two year's residence under our belt, my wife and I can fully recommend Grand Living at Indian Creek as a fine choice for your retirement residence. When COVID hit we began to recognize that the need for some more assistance was upon us. We elected to move to Cedar Rapids where our daughter lives and looked at five senior living operations in the area. Based on our comparison shopping, Grand Living at Indian Creek stood out as best for us. We now have a roomy apartment with a woodsy view and all of the amenities that we could wish for. The meals are definitely superior in variety and presentation than any other place we visited. The activity schedule has a broad variety of choices ranging from escapist entertainment to serious cultural and educational programs. There is a good balance between internal programs and outside events that you can sign up for. We have a caring staff, friendly neighbors from all walks of life, and no long-term lease or buy-in requirements. Grand Living also has an active Resident Council that meets monthly with the Director and the staff heads. And they listen and are receptive to our suggestions. Do not get us wrong. Life here is not perfect, but it has been good for us and has met over 90% of our expectations. Glitches do occur when 150 people from varied backgrounds and in various stages of health live in close proximity with each other. What is more important, however, is that Grant Living has been quite good at solving the problems when they occur. If you arrive here after being your own boss and living in your own home for many years (as we did), you might want to consider that even the Garden of Eden had some issues.

Grand Living is a beautiful place to call home, but more than that, is the way all residents are treated. All staff members know the residents by name and truly care about them like they are family. My mother's husband has Alzheimer's and is now living on Monarch Lane. The Luminations unit has truly been a Godsend for us. We know that he is getting the best care, while also making sure he's engaged with other residents and lots of activities. It's such a huge weight off our minds and hearts to know that he will be taken care of with love and respect. Every person that has helped us at Grand Living has just been wonderful, so caring and willing to help with everything.

Working at Grand Living has been and stays a positive, fun, and gratifying experience. Residents at Grand Living are the happiest, most cared for, and content residents I've ever experienced, and working in health-care for 17 years; that says a lot. Management is very resident and employee conscientious in every aspect. Which in turn, makes me and other employees want to care about making and maintaining Grand Living the most amazing resident care facility there can be. Furthermore, the food at Grand Living is excellent; I mean absolutely excellent. Residents choose from 3 different restaurants inside of facility from a (actual) menu, with an on-site chef and culinary team to prepare meals at the residents leisure. This place is just magnificent!

The Executive Director, Lisa Cleland, goes above and beyond to accommodate and care for the residents. This sentiment flows through the staff and I am very grateful. Our family has noticed much improvement in her overall well being since her move to Grand Living at Indian Creek, for that we are so thankful!

Everyone associated with this facility loves my mother and she has a wonderful rapport with everyone she comes in contact with. They respect the individuality of all of the residents. When I am there I have watched the interactions she has with everyone and I see that they remember the little things about her preferences and you can't ask for more than that.
