I visited there today and toured the facility for accommodations for my 99 year old mother that turns 100 in April. Sarah was comforting and very informative.

My wife and I took a last-minute tour with Jjuwan right before the holiday, and he was happy to fit us in. Really liked the feeling of community that we saw during our visit and both of us really liked Jjuwan and the relationship that he obviously had built with the residents. We told Jjuwan at the start that proximity would be important, and Bondurant was on the very outer edge. We chose a sister property that will make it easier for us to visit, but wanted to leave this review because of how ‘at ease’ Jjuwan made us feel about potentially taking our dad to Courtyard Estates.

We just moved Mom into Memory Care last week. Everyone has been so friendly. Jjuan is awesome! I simply walked in, with no appointment, and he gave me his full attention! He even brought me lunch. Since I’m talking food, I must say the food is delicious at CE! I am amazed! Heather is an unbelievable cook (Brandon too, but haven’t eaten his cooking yet). It’s been extremely difficult for us to bring Mom here. But the staff has made it go as smoothly as it can, always attending to our needs and questions. This place may not be as fancy as some of the newer ones, but we aren’t fancy people. We look at the “staff” instead of all the “fluff”. They all seem to love their residents. I even spoke to one when Jjuan wasn’t around. She said she LOVES it there! Unfortunately because Mom has dementia (Alzheimer’s), she is still claiming to want to go “home”, but we are hoping that will wear off someday. Courtyard Estates is an excellent choice for our mom thus far. You should check it out!

The Courtyard Estates staff was exceptionally helpful and forthcoming when we were making a decision of where to transfer my 94-year-old mother when searching for an assisted-living facility. My mother, who still resents having to live in such a facility, visited and found the food far superior to the food from her previous facility and the rooms spacious. Also after we chose it as her new home we found the staff was excellent at dealing with my mother and her sometimes difficult personality and my mother seemed to respond more positively to its members. Jjuan Hakeem, the community relations coordinator, was candid in discussing the tragic death that had occurred there when a night staff member failed to check on a resident. That, of course, gave us pause but ultimately decided that the increased state scrutiny on the facility in the wake of the death more outweighed our initial concerns. We will see how my mother adjusts in the upcoming months but we are off to a good start and much of that is due to Hakeem and the staff.

The community at the Courtyard Estates at Hawthorne Crossing is wonderful. My loved one is enjoying the variety of meals served. The community has a wide range of great activities for the residents to enjoy and participate in. The community is very welcoming and feels like home. The staff have been very pleasant and helpful every step of the way. The location is very convenient for family and friends.

We were very impressed with our initial visit at Courtyard Estates. Dad liked the rural setting and facility. We all found the staff to be friendly and helpful during our tour. Dad has only been there 3 weeks now, but we are still impressed. The entire staff, top to bottom, has been very helpful and always pleasant. Dad is settling in nicely and seems very happy. Would recommend this place be part of your senior living search.
