Palmer Hills has been my home for 8 years and I love it. While no place is perfect, I would not want to be anywhere else. The staff are great to work with and they make it feel like family. My father moved in to Palmer Hills in June of 2024 and it made a drastically positive impact on the quality of his life. He was living at home alone for the last few years and he wasn’t eating well, nor was he taking care of himself. He thought he was happy because he owned his home and he had privacy. After months of discussing things with him and an unfortunate accident that nearly killed him, he agreed to moved to an independent senior living apartment. His health and over all attitude towards life got so much better after moving in to his apartment there. He was eating way better and being around other people helped keep him mentally engaged as well as physically. We unfortunately had to move abroad and couldn’t leave him behind alone so he had to come with us, but we are thankful for the experience he was able to have at Palmer Hills.

My mom loves it here! Wonderful people work to make every day a lovely experience. Every employee deserves a raise! They take great care in making this a home. The food is delicious. Mom enjoys a variety of well-planned activities. Our family highly recommends Holiday Palmer Hills!

Beautiful Community with lots of Engagement with activity programs. The meal services were lovely. The residents had nothing but smiles and I have never seen so many people in the same common area participating in an activity before. Dennis does an amazing job helping all the residents feel supported.

The staff is outstanding and they went the extra mile (special shoutout to Melissa, my vote for MVP) to make my mother feel comfortable and welcomed. The facility is bright, airy, clean, and has every amenity you could want. We haven't tried the food yet but it looks great (with a nicely varied daily menu) and the chefs are very friendly as well.

I can’t say enough great things about this place! The staff (Julie and Ken) were great to work with and very compassionate people. They were great to my dad and family. I felt comfortable having my dad there and my mind was at ease, especially since I lived out of state. My dad is a picky eater and he liked the food there.

My Mom moved in here September after living alone for years. I was concerned mostly for her safety when she moved in. I had no idea she would enjoy her experience as much as she is. She is a new person socially, mentally and physically! The staff here is top notch!! Mom has been encouraged to be social and found the groups she loves. She can join in or decline any of the several activities offered and she is busy all the time. The food and kitchen staff is also spectacular. I look forward to joining her for meals and so do her grandkids. We all wish we would've made this move earlier, it has taken years off her life and made her a happier, more helpful person. She decided to become an ambassador so she can help new people that are coming enjoy. all the advantages that she has learned to enjoy. Highly recommend for families who are looking for a positive change for their aging loved one's.

I highly recommend Palmer Hills, IA! I’ve worked with the staff there & I’m truly impressed with their dedication, kindness and concern for all of the residents there! Amy, Julie & Julie (and all of the staff) are absolutely fantastic and go above and beyond for the residents. It’s a beautiful, clean & safe place to live! It’s been newly renovated and feels like a brand new building too!

This is a wonderful community filled with great residents, and a professional staff who create a fun, welcoming and caring environment. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. My grandma lives at Palmer Hills and really enjoys living here. She is involved in all the activities and fundraisers they hold. From the entertainment aspects and other fun things they do to keep the residents involved.

My Mom and her cat lived at Palmer for nearly 2 years. It is such a safe and charming community in a Bettendorf neighborhood. Independence should not mean isolation, and at Palmer, there is opportunity to be independent, but living in community with interaction and activities. The lighting and decor give a warm homey feeling. Mom particularly liked the nice walking path outside for fresh air. Palmer is a great value, all utilities and 3 meals a day. The employees take an interest in the residents, and are committed to friendly, quality service. They are not trying to be friendly, it's just who they are! I was impressed that there is very little turn over with the staff. Many employees have worked there for years. It was not easy to move Mom from Palmer, but she was in need of a higher level of care.

I looked at several care places both full and independent. Palmer Hills was the most impressive to me. The facility, the size of the apartments, and perhaps the best thing was the staff. We visited 3 times over the course of a year before moving Dad and mom in. The Staff were consistent exhibiting low turn over and we watched as the talked to other residents. Many of the residents would be sitting down with staff and others chatting and laughing. It was clear that this was more than a job or chore. When you visit, they don't put on their best face just for potential customers. They are genuine. My parents have been here for almost 4 months and you get what you see and it is definitely the best of what we saw.
