Independence Hall – Reviews
What an amazing and caring place. From Eric and Janice to Eddie and Crystal, and everyone else that works there. They consider the residents a part of their family, and that is how the residents are treated - with love and compassion. My aunt couldnt be in a better place, highly recommended! Thank you for all you do!
My experience in this place with my 94 year old mother has been excellent. The love of the staff, the management team and the nurses have made my mother last five years a total joy even under the covid pandemic. This is a community of love, the residents love one another, that is the atmosphere of this place. The food is excellent and the two chefs are the best of the best. We have loved this community so much. I highly recommend this facility to anybody considering having the freedom of living in almost a luxury hotel at the end of life for a reasonable price.
I moved my 90 year old parents from Fort Myers into Independence Hall in 2017. I comparison shopped the area and decided this was the best fit for my parents and for me as their primary family caretaker. When my father passed away in 2018 the staff were amazing, consoling and helped guide me through this difficult time. Since then my now 94 year old mother has been taken care of with a kind, compassionate, culturally proficient staff. I know their staff by name and they treat my mother as if she was their own family member. During the pandemic the staff made so many HUGE personal sacrifices to keep their residents Covid-free!! It was a very scary situation but they remained calm and focused on their mission - to keep their residents safe. I highly recommend Independence Hall!!
Recently my stepmom had a fall which required a hospital stay and rehab and we were suddenly and unexpectedly faced with finding a long term solution for her to have supervised care. We had no idea where to start. When I reached out to Indepence Hall, Eric and Janice were very receptive, understanding and patient with me. I was invited for a tour and immediately impressed. The staff is friendly and accommodating- special thanks to Eddie for all he does! Most importantly the residents are happy and friendly and my stepmom is doing great! We were concerned the transition for her would be tough but its like hotel-cruise ship living and she is thriving! Beautiful dining room, great activities room, even a salon on site for her! Im truly grateful to all of the staff, and we are very blessed to have found Independence Hall.
My Mother was in this assisted living facility and was treated with the utmost courteous, best care even up to the day she passed, away. My Aunt was in there too.
Independence Hall appeared to be clean and organized, and the people were friendly. There was nothing unusual; it was a clean and well-attended-to place. The staff people were friendly, nice, and informative. I was impressed.
Independence Hall was very grand and very pretty. It is more of a formal atmosphere, but its only good if you are only looking at assisted living because they dont have a secure part. They say they do have some little exercises to help people with their memory, but they do not have any locked facility part. One lady who had lived there for 4 years was just fine, but she got on the bus one day and rode it to her old home, so they had to tell her family that they could no longer have her there. They gave them referrals for another part that she needed to go to that would be more secure. Its a 2-story building. It has brick and white with columns on the front porch. Everything about it was nice. The rooms were very nice, and it looked like their dining room was nice. They had piano music playing in the lobby. It had a nice sweeping staircase where you could overlook from the lobby. It had a really nice porch that went all the way across the back with rocking chairs sitting on it, and it overlooked the canal. Their food service was beautiful, and they had nice food. I wouldnt mind living there myself.
