I am extremely happy with the care provided at the memory care unit at West Melbourne Brookdale. The staff is friendly and caring, the residents look clean and neat. There are occasional outings that residents are invited to. The building is designed to allow walking in the building as well as being able to enjoy a lovely garden area. Before choosing this facility I spoke to several marketing staff from other facilities but the video tour and phone call from Aly was enough to do one in-person tour to Brookdale as I was not interested in the other facilities. Additionally the nursing staff works closely with the medical providers ti insure residents are getting the care they require.

My wife has been a resident of Brookdale West Melbourne on Greeboro Drive for almost 6 months. The initial signup process in the beginning was some what of a task, and almost made me reconsider. Happily I did not. This place is excellent. Its clean, Management takes concerns seriously, you will not find a more caring dedicated staff, the rooms are bright and airy, and the activity directory does an excellent job with the residents. I spend considerable time visiting here each week, and glad I selected this place for my wife.

My mom has been at Brookdale Independent Living since May 1, 2022. This was a big step for her and so far as been awesome.Everyone has been friendly and accommodating. The activities director is crazy fun! Would recommend!

I could put my mother in any Assisted Living anywhere in the country. This one just feels like home. I like that it’s small and one story (no elevators/no stairs) but not too small. I like that the building is basically a square with wings of hallways so that everyone meets in the center at one eating area and the crafts and entertainment areas are also near the center. Also, there is a lovely open courtyard in the very center for the residents to go for sunshine and fresh air. Next to the courtyard, there is a wonderful glassed-in atrium where they do crafts that is protected from the elements but let’s the residents feel like they are outside. The staff is very responsive to our family’s needs. They are all very friendly and seem like extended family. The location is also very convenient; near a beach, a highway and 2 airports. A great place to come to visit with extended family. An added bonus is how well the state of a Florida handled the Covid crisis and how well and flexible the facility was to allowing family see their loved ones as soon as was possible, even if from across a table. That was priceless.

Jessica is amazing! When Brookdale determined my brother was not the right fit for this location, she kept fighting to find a safe place for him. I will always be thankful for her heart ❤.

Touring the community I felt welcomed by staff and the Residents were enjoying entertainment in the living room but we saw other Residents doing other things through out the tour. Seemed like 'home' to them not staged or regimented. Staff knew Residents by name and were willing to speak to me about their home.

My dad is still getting acclimated at The Brookdale West Melbourne. One of the main reasons I chose this place for dad is that it has a warm and homey atmosphere. It is very clean and well-kept and the friendly staff is very attentive and caring. Right now my dad is not eating solid foods but the food smells really good. They have a ton of activities which the staff tries to engage my dad to participate. They have a nice internal patio and seating available for the residents to enjoy the fresh air and a perfect place when we bring my dad's dog to visit him.

Out of all the different communities I had looked at for my mother I have to say this was one of our top choices. I have made the deposit and my mom will be set to move in here sometime in the near future. They have a great memory care unit that I was very impressed with and had a very safe security system. I think this will be the perfect for her and am excited to see what the future has in store for her.

They have a courtyard area and the smoker that is there keeps cups and napkins in the area and it is not clean when people go out there. She is allowed to smoke there but they should keep the area cleaner.

We are extremely pleased with Sterling House of West Melbourne. Their staff is very personable, and get to know everybody by name. When mom first got there they took a lot of time to welcome her and make sure she felt at home. It's a smaller place than some of the other places we have checked out, which means she gets a little more personal care. This was our first experience with a place like this and they have made it a very good one.
