i would recommend Discovery Village Trinity Independent living to any senior. If you are looking to downsize and live in a place where everything is taken care of for you while you have fun , Discovery Village Trinity is the place to be! Very warm intelligent nice caring people are residents and the staff are equally caring. It is like being on a land cruise. They also cater to your family if they live nearby and like to visit you in your own private apartment. The surrounding area is also excellent . You are surrounded by many nice restaurants and excellent shopping. They serve dinner every night in the dinning room , which is part of your rent. If you have family and friends to invite to dinner they have no trouble accommodating them . It is really an excellent life style when you are getting older and want an easier life style. You are also near the city of Tampa if you enjoy sports and shows! Excellent rating!!!

Discovery Villages is a pleasant area for my sister, who is in the memory care facility. She seems well taken care of. Her only complaint is not being able to go outside when she wants to. The other area is not having enough to do. I can't really comment on these two issues, since I am not close by to see for myself.

The staff here are exceptionally accommodating and friendly, and we've been warmly welcomed by the residents, who all seem to genuinely love living here. Discovery Village of Trinity is an upscale active community for seniors. My mom is 83 and decided it may be time to move closer to me. I found Discovery Village during an internet search and asked for information. Within a day I received a call from Melissa and she made time for me to come see the model apartment. She was very knowledgeable and compassionate to my mom’s needs. Through the entire process prior to my mom moving in she was available for anything, answering questions, taking videos, walking my mom through filling out the forms. The move in day was seamless. Her first official night she spent there they sent her up a tray of sandwiches and cookies. I have had a couple of meals with her and the food is amazing. She has been in her new home for six days and her neighbors have invited her to dinner so she doesn’t eat alone. The grab and go coffee and snacks are available. Top notch on everything. She is still adjusting to the change but EVERYONE at Discovery Village at Trinity is top notch.

Discovery Village Independent Living Facility is a wonderful place to live for a number of reasons. I have lived here for a little better than a year and have never regretted it in the least. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with smiles from the residents, as well as the staff. The ambiance is that of a beautifully decorated resort, the services are similar, and the vibe is very positive. I was captivated by the possibilities I could enjoy. A beautiful common area includes a concierge station, lovely sitting area leading around to a small cafe style stocked with refreshments for breakfast, lunch, or snacks. The mail room sufficiently serves incoming and outgoing mail needs. A table/game area complete with room for happy hour and dancing, a bar staffed sufficiently, and a beautiful baby grand piano caught my eye. The dining area is second to no other. The chef prepares delicious dinners; and being seated as in many tasteful restaurants, at tables complete with cloth coverings and napkins makes me feel special. The servers are friendly, and efficient, and I feel they care. As I look out the windows I see the large pool, designed especially for the safety of an aging population. It is complete with ramps and bars, etc, and the deck is furnished nicely for sun bathing or relaxing in the shade. The apartments offered are of varying designs, with focus on comfort and safety. I chose the two bedroom, two bath, full kitchen, laundry room and den. Studios, one, and three bedrooms were possibilities, as well. I enjoy that housekeeping services are provided, but not required. Additionally, the facility is complete with a library, exercise room, a theater, multi-purpose arts/a crafts/choir/exercise meeting room. I love the many options! Discovery Village Independent Living staff keeps us posted with any concerns or issues, as well as addressing any immediate needs. I feel safe and happy. For me , it was peace of mind and relief from home maintenance after my spouse passed that I was searching for and Discovery Village Independent Living provides that.

My Mom became a resident in the Assisted Living Facility in January. It's early days but so far we're impressed. Good staff to resident ratio, the facility is well run and clean, doctors/physical therapists/etc. are available in-house or they have a shuttle to run residents to their own doctors appointments. Folks seem responsive, each resident has a call button they can use for any help they need and response time is is good. Most importantly the residents seem to have endless activities and opportunities to socialize together - beside meals in the dining area there are 7-8 *daily* activities (bingo, trivia, movies, music) they can participate in. Staff and residents are friendly and welcoming and Mom fit right in. We visited a number of other places before selecting Discovery Village Trinity and they pale in comparison. Check it out.

Absolutely gorgeous building (so luxurious). Wonderful staff, so kind, so helpful, so understanding. Really easy transition when you move here. Everyone, even all the wonderful residents will help you. Chef meals are so perfectly prepared. The facility gives you a very generous amount every month to apply to purchases in several different ways. Call for guided tour. Run back home quick and start packing! Lots of activities. Ordering off of a menu in the dining room. Everyone gets a $500 credit to apply toward food or other expenses each month. See for yourself why I came here just to look and decided to pay for a wonderful room with a beautiful view. I have wonderful neighbors who have become beautiful friends. The amenities are phenomenal and the people that work and live there are wonderful. She is in the independent living building. We have also had experience with the memory care facility prior to my father’s passing. Although he was there only briefly, the facility and the staff were wonderful and I would highly recommend. Plus, the Watermark doesn't forget individuals who enjoy Trivia activities as well as Billiards and golfing. I just moved my mother into this community and am so impressed with the property, the staff and the amenities. Rita Toner was the marketing person that we worked with and was extremely informative, patient and welcoming to my mother. She gave her treats for her dog and there was a beautiful welcome basket in her apartment when she moved in. The food is incredible, to say the least. I joined my mother for dinner one evening and could not believe how good it was. The executive chef even came out to make sure that we were happy with our dinner. The Director was walking around the dining room speaking with everybody and when he got to our table he knew my mother's room number and the name of her dog! We truly are very happy with our selection to place our mother at Watermark and she just loves her beautiful apartment.

My parents recently moved into the independent living section and I cannot believe the change in them. They were very isolated in the apartment where they were living and really didn't have any social activities or friends. Safety was also a concern. Since they have moved in I have seen a 180 in their attitude and outlook on life. They are enjoying the activities, shows, workouts, etc. and making friends. I have never seen them so engaged and excited about life. We joined them for brunch last week and all the residents and staff were very nice and welcoming. Rita was very helpful as they made the decision to make the move. It is also a comfort knowing when it is time they can easily transition to assisted living. I have been very pleased with the overall experience that my family member has had at Watermark as she has transitioned to independent living. Moving is never an easy process.especially for seniors. However, the staff at Watermark have gone out of their way to accommodate her needs and answer questions as they arise. The staff is friendly, caring, and attentive. In addition, the residents are welcoming.it feels like a "small town" where people look out for one another. There are so many activities and events that appeal to a wide variety of interests. I visited The Watermark at Trinity with my sister as she was interested in having a tour. I was amazed at how beautiful it was! The staff was very friendly and attentive to the residents. There were so many wonderful activities for all and the therapeutic recreation staff was so caring and fun!! You could tell they really love the residents and put their whole heart into it. They want to make life as fun and fulfilling for them as possible! They care for the whole person and meet their needs in every way! They have a coffee/cafe where they can buy what they want. A gorgeous dining room beautifully decorated and the food was very delicious with a fantastic menu to choose from! They even have waitresses that serve you with a smile! I've never seen such a beautiful independent/assisted living before! It will meet all your needs or your loved ones needs! A dear friend of ours in in Watermark. Memory Care. His son was telling us what has been going on there. Private pay facility at what 8-9k per month? And you call his 85 yr old wife to come there to change his soiled diapers, bedding? He reported his dad is filthy, greasy, has dandruff, sores, that he is left in soiled diapers & bedding? What? This man of whom I am speaking is a human being. Where is the dignity for him? I recommended they contact Eldercare. This is despicable and disturbing. I can't even believe this is allowed. How do you sleep at night?

We have known and worked with the sales staff (Rita and Wendy) since before they joined Watermark. They are true top notch professionals who will guide you well. Also, since Watermark at Trinity opened, we have had clients move in and also been called in to assist residents in those rare instances that they needed supplemental assistance. The care has been excellent and the care team has partnered well, truly putting the resident at the center. They have some unique meal time experiences (finger foods for those with dementia that are having a hard time with utensils) and the community is well laid out and upbeat.

You can also enter from Trinity Blvd. Edit 8/24/21 - The Watermark at Trinity, both the Assisted Living and Independent Living, is a self pay facility, not to be confused with a nursing home that accepts Medicare and Medicaid. You must have the financial means to become a resident and remain a resident.

While looking for a long term care facility for my mother-in-law, we loved Watermark the moment we walked through the door. Mom just marked her one-year anniversary. She has settled in wonderfully and has made many new friends. The staff is so friendly and helpful, the food is well balanced, nutritional and who doesn't love happy hour on Fridays. The facility itself is like a 5 star hotel. I would highly recommend Watermark at Trinity to anyone. We count our blessing daily that this is the facility we choose to look after our loved one.

I moved my mom here and was extremely happy with the care she was receiving. Shannon, Sheila, Angel (med tech) and another aide with a unique name that I cannot remember were AMAZING! The daily activities seemed to be lacking though. If you have a loved one here make sure you take a good look at the activity board but don't say anything to the activity director or you will get attitude. Covid 19 hit - WOW! I was told that face time was set up and every time I called to face time my mom I got a "no one is here to do it", "no one has the device", "no one has the password" to call back tomorrow. I started going to the entrance and asking the receptionist to have a care taker bring my mom to the window. It would happen on some occasions but most of the time that was a difficult task because they always told me they were short staffed. One time, the receptionist had the Med Tech, Mike greet me at the entrance to tell me "it is a circus back there, we are short staffed and your mother is already in bed". I then asked if he could at least open the blinds so I could see her and he just said "NOPE" I told him that he was a horrible person as he walked away. Mike, if you read this, I can only hope you are never put in a position to have a loved one in a memory care facility during a pandemic! I then reported this to Cassidy, (not sure of her title there). I asked if that was acceptable and she said No and would talk to him. She told me that they are not short staffed that by law they are only required to have 2 care takers.Really? 2 care takers per 15/30 residents. Oh and good luck trying to get a hold of her for any concerns, she never answers her phone, her message says she will get back to you with in 24 hours.sometimes she does and sometimes she doesn't. On another occasion, Jessica, the receptionist was assisting another resident's family member at the entrance, looked at me and said 'bring your mom to the window?' I said yes, the woman turned to me and started talking about how awful the whole Covid thing is, guess she wanted an ear to vent to and Jessica came out and said you can not stand there, you need to LEAVE! Really, wow! Horrible attitude Jessica. $5000 a month and you get treated like that, shame on you! I made the decision to move my mom and on move out day they brought her out to me in a wheel chair so sedated that she couldn't even hold her head up and could no longer walk. Brought her to the new facility and they thought she might have been having a stroke because of how slumped over she was. The new ALF informed me that WATERMARK had my mom on 4 physic meds and that is probably why she was in the condition she was in. They sent her to the hospital ruling out a stroke, they did diagnose her with a UTI and now has to be sent to a rehab in hopes to regain strength. Not sure how they are allowed to give 4 different sedatives to a resident. My only guess is because they are short staffed and it was easier. Keep them all sedated in wheelchairs. And no family members can check on them. If you have a loved one that you need to move to an ALF please be careful. Not sure that Watermark is the answer. Shame on you WATERMARK. Start hiring skilled care takers and maybe consider paying them a reasonable salary instead of worrying about the profits. You are in this business to take care of those that took care of us. Do your job. There is so much more that I can write about but the review only allows so many characters. BEWARE!

My father's needs increased over the past year and we began looking for ALF's closer to our home. We have been very pleased with watermark from the first day. All the way from the initial visit to the facility with Jennifer to the caring staff that he sees regularly. He has been there only one month and I can already notice his progress after having onsite exercise, daily activities and prepared meals. This is not even taking in to account the new friends he has made and the social interaction he has regularly. The place is beautiful and it makes my heart happy knowing he is in such a great place.

My mother was a happy resident for over a year and a half. Although the food left much to be desired, and the caring staff was overworked and very stressed, she loved it there and called it her "home". After a fall that did not require a rehabilitation facility, they refused to accept her back from the hospital where she was "under observation", unless I agreed to place her into the more expensive memory care area. I agreed, since I had no other option however, when I agreed, the Director of Nursing said they could not accommodate the move. My mother, the hospital social worker, physician and I were left stranded. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise since she is NOT a candidate for a memory care facility, and is living peacefully and happily with me and my husband in our home.
