After having had a loved one in this facility, I have to say "WHAT?" when I read this synopsis of what you offer and the quality of employees. This is a horrible place where patients are left to their own devices, even if that means laying on the ground outside and workers just walk by. Residents do not bathe, their meds are not given in a timely manner and sometimes not at all, if the patient was in a different area of the facility when the med tech came by. Staff verbally and physically abuse the residents and make a game out of tormenting them by withholding cigarettes or snacks. They laugh at the residents and call them F------ Retards, among other names and inappropriate accusations. Complaints are never dealt with. Admin always say, if there is no reliable witness, it didn't happen. In a mental health facility a reliable witness is easily dismissed. Even seizures that weren't witnessed are deemed a lie, because they didn't see it! Meds were added and changed without notifying family. All residents are "liars" and their concerns are dismissed. As in every facility, there are good workers, but here that is the minority. They see what is happening, but need their job. Rooms are not cleaned, laundry is misplaced and never returned, the main common area has a sickening stench. Several keys fit many other resident rooms and theft is rampant. Jehovah Witness services were all that was offered. Therapy was requested, but never received. No offsite devotional options. Yes, my son was dismissed from here. He was arrested because of false charges by his main tormentor. As of this date no video of the incident was supplied to his lawyer even after the facility was issued a subpoena. The resident psyche nurse advised the administrator not to deprive my son of his cigarettes. Ignoring this advice led to providing the employee the opportunity to file false charges. She had been telling him since his first month there that she was going to get him kicked out. Quote from worker "I'd like to push your lil ass down and spit on you, but you'd tell your mommy and call the police" That is the level of employee at this facility. Uneducated, ill-equipped, and lacking any compassion for the type of people she knowingly took the job to care for. Someone like that should never be left in charge of other human beings.

Omg-Central Tampa assisted living has been a life saving facility for my brother. The staff and management are incredible. I agree with others comments regarding the attention and care they provide in a caring manner. This facility faces tremendous challenges every day and night, God bless them for their work.
