As a healthcare professional, I have the opportunity to work with many senior living communities across all levels of care, and this is truly one that I would choose for my own parent or loved one. When I received a tour from Melissa my heart was so full learning about how they go above and beyond in a myriad of ways. One thing that really stands out is their bridged living option. It is such an important level of support for residents who may be experiencing early dementia or cognitive changes and need slightly more care than a standard assisted living setting, but who are not yet at a point where a full memory care environment is the right fit. I hope more communities offer this type of thoughtful care model in the future. It is so important for residents’ mental, emotional, and social well-being to live in a community that truly aligns with where they are and meets them there with dignity, support, and compassion.

We are fortunate to have my parents living in the independent living area of this community and my mother in law is in assisted living. In each instance, they receive wonderful care, appropriate for the stage of life they are in. The buildings and interiors are lovely and their apartments are well appointed with lovely finishes. The dining options are restaurant style and often updated to adjust to feedback of the residents. I visit regularly, going from area to area and you can see the staff working quietly and cheerfully to care for our loved ones. I am so thankful we found this community.

I visited and volunteered for an event here recently to get a taste of the community life to consider as an option for my mom in the future. The annual fashion show was a blast! Many of the residents I met were clearly living their best new life and had made good friends. The engagement team that helped host the event put on an amazing show and was welcoming and friendly. This is a very nice place! The grounds and interior are always immaculate! I have visited several times for different events they have had. It is always so much fun! My 92 year old mother moved into Arbor Terrace 4 months ago after she could no longer live independently at home. This move was not something she wanted to do.This transition took some time getting used to her new apartment, a new schedule and most importantly, to her care needs being provided for by a team of regular caregivers, thank goodness they are wonderful, kind and skillful. She is more comfortable now, attending some activities, talking to other residents and communicating her needs with the people who provide for her daily care. When there is a bump along the way, the Arbor team responds and resolves issues quickly and with care. Exceptional care providers include Benjamin, Patrick, Addison, Erica, Daneel, and Lance. They are responsive to her needs, listen to her and treat her with respect. Thank you and God Bless you in this important work that not just anyone can do. It makes it a little easier being so far away, knowing that you are good humans. PS I agree with the other reviews, an exceptional admin staff -(Jamie and Amanda) with the welcoming process, move in logistics, and problem solving issues. Thank you to Miss Echo at the front desk who answers the phone with a smile and helps with all my questions. Also, the facility is beautiful and clean. I love the dining staff and how they take care of each resident! The activities are pretty special too, something for everyone. Can’t say enough positives.

There have been many great parts of being at Arbor Terrace for the past nine months. Let me highlight some of the all star players and moments. The front desk team is led by Tammy. I’m not sure if she went to Hillsborough High School like my kids did and like the actual Dwight Gooden, but she is indeed a Tampa Dwight Gooden, a team leader who gets residents to win the World Series of package delivery, solving problems of any/all areas of life, answering every question, and knowing who to ask to get something done quickly. Her colleagues help us at all hours: Catherine, Celia/Cece, Adrienne, Patricia, Susan, and Golda. They also help family members who have questions. Truly all stars and truly helpful! The other part of living a good life here is never having to cook (though the kitchens in the Independent Living apartments like I have are large and modern). The food is excellent and the desserts are difficult to resist. Even better than the food is the team that puts it together, from the cooks to the servers to the dishwashers to maitre d Dani helping us arrange seating and get orders to go when we aren’t feeling well. The humor, kindness, thoughtfulness, and efficiency of the restaurant team is a huge part of the daily routines and joys here. Thanks to Dani, Mathew, Daniel, Garnnet, Pamela, Juan, Sheila, Tom, Liam, Zoey, Grace L, Grace S, Benjamin, Vladimir, Sely, Reese, Isabel, Isabella, Logan, Eilidh, Izzy, Sophie, Maddox, Katelyn, Ali, Maria, Michelle, Holden, Lerma, Savanna, Mia, and Kevin. One neat thing is that staff sometimes blend in stories and recipes related to where they are from, through a thematic meal, holiday, or the travel club. That creativity was unexpected and of course since they really knew their home town food it was delicious and fun to try something that had a story behind it. Thanks to all the other staff and departments of Arbor Terrace, I feel lucky to have found it.

I have appreciated the activities and events that my sister-in-law enjoys at Arbor Terrace: local community orchestras have played, they hosted a fashion show in partnership with Dillard’s that featured residents as models, they had an Olympics that my sister-in-law even won a medal in ping pong in, a game she had not played in years. The library is a favorite highlight of hers as is the happy hour that often features live music. The number of activities and opportunities for engagement has been a real highlight of her being there! It seems to be a great place to be with a strong sense of community.

My wife Gail Cader and I visited these premises when we were on holiday recently in Tampa. We had the opportunity to have a tour of these premises which housed the retirees who had opted to be residents. The tour was conducted by Ms Amanda Cader who also introduced us to some of the residents. One of these residents was a Mr Bonaparte who had so many anecdotes to describe. We had a long conversation with this gentleman who had so many genuine praises of Amanda and the staff. We were so impressed with the facilities provided and how clean and tidy were the premises. We were wishing that such premises would be a welcome asset to our country England. We were also delighted to observe the interaction between Amanda, her fellow workers and the residents. This must be a principal reason why Arbor Terrace Citrus Park is so popular with its residents. It is super place to spend your retirement and we would be pleased to recommend this place to future potential residents.

I had the opportunity to perform a Sound Bath for the residents at Arbor Terrace and I was so impressed by the establishment and the staff! It definitely looks and feels like a 5-star hotel. It’s Assisted Living Week so there’s lots of activities going on for residents. When I arrived the residents were getting scalp massages, having tea and I think getting facials followed by the Sound Bath! The facility is very well maintained and just beautiful!

I am leading a weekly activity at IL at AT and love it! Susan, who directs the activities is amazing and so caring. The residents are so happy with all their activity choices that I see it as where I want to be down the road when I am ready!

Do t let arbor terrave fool you from outside appearance. They don’t have enough staff looks nice from outside side but will not take care of your lived one.
