I had to move into Assisted Living due to a Parkinsons diagnosis almost a year ago. I was barely 63 and was very traumatized due to leaving my home, pets, loss of car and a break up of a major ltr. Everyday I would go into the office sobbing for months. The two administrators always took the time to console me. The rest of the staff has become like family. They give excellent care to the residents including the housekeeping and the cook. They have a very enthusiastic Activity Director. Just be aware that the majority of staff and residents speak Spanish, but I have been able to make it work.

Alimar is a warm, friendly place that cares for all of its residents with love - the most important thing! The green space and house cats, as well as the apartment set-up with a living room make it feel homey and not like an institution. It's way more affordable than most other places that aren't nearly as good. The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars is that it's not as fancy as some, and doesn't have the bells and whistles other places have.

I wouldn't put my loved ones in here. The dining room is not spacious, very small walkway to walk outside, and parking is tight. Friendly staff.

I recently had to move both of my parents into Alimar ALF on very short notice. They have been there just a short period of time, but thanks to all the friendly staff they are already feeling at home. Every staff member there treats them super nice which has made it easier for them to adjust. They also love the food and the friendly atmosphere. Also, Meredith Bond, the administrator, was very helpful and accommodating and guided me through this whole unfamiliar process. She throughly explained everything to me and answered all the questions that I had. I would recommend Alimar to anyone looking for an ALF for a loved one.

My mother has been at Alimar Assisted Living Facility for seven years. As you can imagine, she has seen a few staff members, come and go, through the years. One that really stands out is Yeneyki Cantillo, my mother just loves her. I’ve seen a big change in her, sense Yeneyki has been caring for her. She’s happier and smiling more, she even tries to communicate. Seeing my mother cared for, happy and content is a blessing.

Thankful that my mom is being cared for at Alimar. She’s been there now a year, and the super staff treats everyone like family. Her medical care is much better than it was when my mom was home. And Meredith is so very helpful and knowledgeable.

My mom is there and they take very good care of her. They are very caring and loving to my mom and she loves their food which is very important because she is a picky eater. The office staff is always keeping me informed and letting me know of any changes that her doctor makes. My mom couldn’t be in better hands!

My Mom has been in Alimar since March and I have seen a big change in her! The staff are very kind and loving. Meredith Bond (the administrator) does a great job. She is very involved with the every day routine of the home. She plans parties for the residents on every holiday and birthday parties in between! I am so glad my Mom is living there now!

My mother moved to Alimar Assisted Living almost 3 years ago. These types of changes for an elder are not the easiest, going from their independence to communal living. My family is so thankful to have found Alimar Assisted Living. My mother is happy, well cared for, surrounded by love , you can visit at any time. Mom is always raving about the food ! The food at Alimar is cooked fresh everyday 3 times a day! It is just like home cooked food and traditional food they are used to eating at home. The facility is clean! Marisela and her staff do a great job! Don't hesitate to make the move. It is harder on you than them. At this age what is most important is well care and socialization there is no lack of that there. My mother is 94 and doing so much better now than being alone and depressed in her apartment. My aunt has lived at Alimar for the past 2 years and has been very happy there. They have a great staff helping her. The meals are wonderful and constantly having special events to keep her entertained. Thank you to everyone there for the love and special care they give to her. Would highly recommend it!

I needed to find a place for my mother,her primary speaking language is Spanish, She is currently staying in Alimar, they were recommend to me by a nurse in Tampa general Hospital when she was in for treatment, The nurse told me many of the staff are multilingual and the place is a family run business, owned by a wife of a Doctor in Tampa General. I was lucky enough to meet the owner Mrs. Rozas, When i visited the Alimar with my wife to see if the place was a right fit. Mrs.Rozas told me her own father stayed in Alimar before he passed, that gave me the assurance to proceed with allowing my mother to go to this facility. Its been 4 months since she moved in, my mother is happy and well looked after by the staff, she also has a few Spanish friends which is great and her English is improving also!! 🙂 Nice family run business with good staff. The general manager is very contactable and reachable should you need anything.
