My friend received excellent services while in recovery & rehab after surgery. Staff was very attentive, respectful, and kind. Very clean facility. Daily entertainment programs. The community room is like a big, cozy living room. It was all decked out for the holidays, with a huge Christmas tree. My friend received a lovely gift on Christmas day. So thoughtful Only prob: the parking is TOO small.

I just want to thank the alert nurses at Westminster for saving my life. I complained about not being able to breath, do they hooked me up to oxygen and monitored me. When I was not getting any better they sent me to the emergency room at Northside Hospital. I was diagnosed with a blood clot. I was released 5 days later and returned to westminster where I finished my great therapy. I was up and walking o. in a cane .

Through a series of misadventures, my mom ended up being discharged from a hospital and sent to Westminster for therapy. She and I were told that the chances were slim that Mom would never walk again. The therapists assigned to Mom, Bridget and Kim, were the Dynamic Duo! They worked beautifully together with me and my mom to prove the doctor wrong. My mom was so deconditioned prior to even going to the hospital, that she started therapy behind the eight ball. Im not going to lie… it wasnt easy. The road to discharge home was filled with a lot of time, hugs, tears, laughter and Kims Come-To-Jesus talks. Kim has a way of making patients laugh…. whether its her bright clothes, mismatched earrings or her dancing skills (she has none), she would put a smile on my moms face. Kim got to know my moms eating habits, dress preferences, made sure her laundry was done, she was bathed and on top of that, they became best friends. Not only did Bridget and Kim see to it that Mom DID walk again, she was discharged home with a four wheel walker!! Its hard to believe but she actually left Westminster in better health than she had been for a few yearsAbout 6 weeks ago, my mom had a fainting spell which resulted in broken ribs. There was no question in our minds that Mom would return to Westminster. I called Kim and told her Mom was coming. She immediately got Mom a great supply of Dr. Pepper that was waiting on her when she arrived at Westminster. Mom was placed in quarantine for seven days after which she would moved out into the general area and see visitors. My brother had had plans to fly down from Philadelphia and that ticket could not be changed. He had not seen her in a couple of years. The problem was …. Would my mom get out of quarantine in time to see my brother? Kim worked with Laurena, the administrator, to make this possible. My brother wrote a letter requesting to be an essential caregiver, faxed it and Kim made sure that the letter got to Laurena for her approval. I know, during these uncertain times, Laurena and Kim had better things to do than be concerned about whether my brother could see my mom. Thanks to Laurena and Kim, my brother and I were able to see Mom in quarantine. Listening to people, I have a hunch that Kim moved the proverbial mountain to get this all lined up and it may have created animosity with others. It took a lot of teamwork, coordination and stubbornness to make all of this come to fruition. Im grateful to Bridget and Kim for taking care of my mom. I will forever be grateful to Kim and Laurena for enabling my brother to see Mom. Thank you

My husband and I moved in to Suncoast in August of 2014, 6 years ago. It was the best decision we have ever made! I love that the villas are all on the ground floor, and I love the landscaping! But what really hooked us isthe people! Residents and staff alike are kind, friendly, helpful people! We became very connected and active immediately! Since the Pandemic, management has done a terrific job of keeping us safe. Great place. Great people.

Westminster Suncoast has been very responsive to my concern regarding hot water in my moms apartment. My mom tells me she has hot water when she showers now. She has lived at WS since 2008 and loves it there and is very happy.

My husband and I have been living at Westminster Suncoast, in St. Petersburg, Fl for almost 8 years. We have found this Garden Community to be a very real Family Community, empowered by many social events and activities that bring us together frequently. Music, Song, Entertainment, Concerts, Travel, Fitness Cntr, Dining services and a variety of Games, using both the Wonderful Lounge - our Living Room Area), as well as the Life-Long Learning Center, provides this community with ample means of staying Brain Healthy. We love our Suncoast Family and couldnt be happier anywhere else.

Having resided at Suncoast for over two years and a half, we remain very pleased with life here. And we couldnt have been in a safer place to be protected from Covid-19. There are good rules (mask-wearing required, social distancing, temps taken at the gate, record of where residents have been when off campus) that almost everyone follows perfectly. We have many activities on ZOOM (meetings and OLLI-Eckerd classes) and chat rooms to keep in contact with other residents. And Resident Services provides us with opportunities to celebrate (with masks and social-distancing!) such as ice cream cones and bistro drive-byes in the Activity Room. Plus we have the very professionally produced Westminster Suncoast Journal monthly for our perusal. Suncoast is a great place to live!

I have the pleasure of working for Westminster Suncoast as an interim executive. The staff is wildly welcoming, the campus is gorgeous. I have witnessed many acts of random kindness to residents from employees daily. The marketing staff is top notch and does an awesome job of making prospects welcome. Definitely a run well organization.

We are so thankful to have found Westminster Suncoast for my parents. The staff and residents are so friendly and caring, and the property is absolutely beautiful. For us, one of the best features of Westminster Suncoast in particular is that all levels of care are available: Independent Living which offers lots of social interaction, fun activities and interesting programs; Assisted Living with varying levels of care depending on need; and the Health Center for skilled nursing, as well as Memory Care. It was so comforting to know that as circumstances changed, my parents would not have to uproot and move to another community to get the care they needed.

My mother has been a resident of Westminster Suncoast for over three years. I was so disturbed when I heard about this review that I thought it was important to write. Our experience at Westminster Suncoast, along with so many families that I see and speak to every day has been nothing but positive. The staff of this facility are outstanding and our interactions and responses from the staff, to include the Director of Nursing, despite what this review says have been nothing but positive. I think it is so sad that there are people in this world that show no compassion for those who may run in to trouble. I can only hope that the good lord shows the writer of that review more love and compassion than they chose to show when they decided to troll the internet with their hateful words. I'm just thankful my mother is in a community that follows the teachings of Jesus, provides exceptional care and service and shows their staff the love and compassion they deserve, even in hard times.

Welcoming Westminster Suncoast Although we had some acquaintances among the residents of Westminster Suncoast due to associations from our local Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Eckerd College, we had no idea how completely and charmingly we would be welcomed! Residents readily stopped and asked, “Are you new here?”, and they seemed genuinely interested that we had chosen here rather than the high-rise Shores and Palms. And the staff couldn’t have been more kind; from Jacob in the Dining Hall to the ladies of the Front Desk, our courteous maintenance workers as well as any staff we might meet, they seemed immediately to know our names. But with all the welcoming, there was no pressure to join this or that group, although there are many activities and residents who promote such. We knew from the start that we had come to the right place! This is a Five-Star residence!!!

I know we made the right decision to live here. My husband and I have been here for nine months. There are four things I really love about this community. First, residents and staff demonstrate an openness and friendliness that creates a welcoming environment. Secondly, intellectual and physical needs are met through stimulating programs. Thirdly, we love opening the backdoor of our villa and enjoying a cup of tea on our patio. Lastly, it’s affordable. Administration openness and transparency at Westminster Suncoast has impressed us greatly. The integrity and faith-based nature of this community shines through all that it exemplifies.

My wife and I first discovered this place five years ago while researching a place to care for my mother-in-law who is now 94. After seeing the excellent care they provided for her, we decided to move in, too. We wanted a garden community like this one that was faith based. We have a nice villa that was completely renovated when we moved in and we love it. Our son and his family come to stay each year. The facilities are great, the food is good, and the staff is focused on serving the residents. The maintenance staff and nursing teams are incredible. There’s a monthly calendar that is filled with fitness, educational and recreational activities for you to enjoy. I like it that we can go to the nearby beaches, or go kayaking at our sister community Westminster Shores and we can check on our mother-in-law daily. This place is all about people and relationships. Everyone is your friend.

This is the ONE! After you’ve looked at all the rest, I think you’ll find that Westminster Suncoast’s best! Some of the things I love about my life here: -- my cheerful, sunny villa, which brings a smile to my face with every waking --the agreeable and willing assistance of the entire staff here, from the executive office folks to maintenance to housekeeping, to activities, to dining services --the beautiful campus and the meticulous attention to the buildings and the grounds --the amazing number of services and activities provided on a daily basis --the library, the pool, the fitness center, the beautiful dining room and the handy café --the easy convenience of all the independent living villas and Health Center being on ground level—no toting groceries up and down stairs or elevators.--the proximity to everything! Suncoast is five minutes from the Sunshine Skyway for easy access to Bradenton, Sarasota and parts south; less than 10 minutes from the Interstate which puts us within 40 minutes of Tampa and the Tampa International Airport We are 20 minutes from downtown St. Petersburg and its abundance of artistic and gastronomic offerings. We are 15 minutes from the beaches. We are in one of the fastest growing sections of St. Petersburg—the Skyway Marina District—where new businesses and restaurants are opening at a rapid pace. We are five minutes from a beautiful City park and recreation area on the water; five minutes from churches, a library, etc. Many of our residents have pets, and we even have a dog park. We have a beautiful resident garden, including a lovely herb garden where herbs are grown to be used in the special dishes created for the dining room. While Suncoast has a professional grounds maintenance crew, many residents do their own planting and gardening around their villa if they wish. This is too long, but not nearly long enough to tell you all the wonderful things about my life here at Westminster Suncoast.

Don’t wait too long to move in! My wife and I are totally independent and were able to choose what we wanted in our villa, including grounds and patios. Every person here—neighbors, friends and staff—is friendly and willing to help you solve any problem. We enjoy activities in the Quak Center and the opportunity to attend classes and other events offered through our affiliation with Eckerd College is a bonus. You can become as involved as you want to be or you can leave for three months and everything will be taken care of while you are away. As retired music teachers, we still have an opportunity to use our gifts during community gatherings and worship services. Our health center is nationally recognized, which means a lot to us. We have on-campus access to doctors of different specialties, as well as lab work that can be done here on site. I spend a lot of time in the woodworking shop, which has air conditioning, and my wife serves as a volunteer in the Health Center and on the campus at large. This is a simple way of life and we are pleased that we will not become a burden to our family in later years.

My friend Kit moved here a few months ago, and he really likes it. He has a beautiful home, he can eat in the dining room if he doesn't feel like cooking, and he doesn't have to work so hard to keep up his home anymore. He won't even have to change a lightbulb. We had lunch the other day, and it made me so glad to see that living at Westminster Suncoast has already made life easier and more fun for him.

Best place for your loved one in Pinellas County. Shout out to Brian Cain who kept in touch with me during Hurricane Irma in spite of the many challenges, so I could move in my loved one Sept 18th. The staff is outstanding, the setting is beautiful and serene, and the communication with me is beyond my wildest expectations. This is critical to me since I am an absent DPOA and count on the staff for feedback and updates much more than if I lived locally. You will be happy if you choose Suncoast. Westminster is not far from where I live. The staff was pretty nice, caring, and attentive to the residents. The apartments are very nice. They have a very spacious memory care unit. They have a one bedroom apartment as well as a studio apartment. They have a buy-in situation. They have Bingo, they send the residents shopping, and they have socials and some movie nights.

The one that we were most interested in was Westminster Suncoast. It seemed to be a very welcoming and active community. The people seemed to be well cared for, and the facility seemed to be very nice. The location seemed to be very good. We were looking at a one-bedroom/ two-bath independent unit. Though they had them, they were not available. So, we're on their waiting list. The staff was very nice, very helpful, competent, warm, and friendly. We ate in their dining room with the assigned people to eat with us, and they were very nice. The food was quite good, and the dining facility was very nice, comfortable, and clean. We were very impressed with it.

My grandmother is at Westminster Suncoast for two days. Her room is spacious, clean, and well kept. The staff seemed okay. She says she has no problem with the food. They have a couple of choices to choose from, not a wide variety, but it was fine. She's not really an active person, but she does like to walk around.

This is mainly a retirement community with individual living spaces for seniors. I am familiar with this facility because my grandmother stayed there during the last months of her life. There is a guard at the gate who only allows persons that have a reason to be there inside. I am familiar with the assisted living facility that is onsite, I am not familiar with the retirement community. The assisted living facility offers round the clock nursing care and offers a gentle exercise class for people who are mostly bed-ridden. The nurses there tried to keep my grandmother from getting a bed sore and choking on her food, they did accomplish this. They occasionally would take her out of bed to sit upright to prevent a bed sore. She shared a small room with another lady. When it was clear she was dying they let us know what was going on. There were volunteers who came by to comfort the patients.
