I've lived at Westminster Palms for seven years and life here keeps getting better. Every team member effectively focuses on creating a safe, healthy, happy environment. The location is within an easy waterfront walk to downtown restaurants, museums, faith communities and frequent festivals. The views of cityscape, Tampa Bay, The Pier, and tree-canopied Old North East are spectacular. Best of all, my fellow residents are friendly, interesting and actively enjoying life. There are lots of opportunities for relaxation, education and volunteer work on campus and in the wider community. I've been able to run 5-K and 10-K races, right in the neighborhood; my friends here swim in the large swimming pools across the street or fish in the Bay. Westminster offers many local bus trips for us as well as providing transportation for medical care and food shopping. I'm very thankful for Westminster Palms and for all the Westminster communities in St. Petersburg and around the state.

One telling example: When I first moved here, I was nursing a bad hip and was having trouble getting myself and my stuff out of my car in the parking lot. A kitchen worker saw through a window that I was struggling and ran out to help me. That display of caring and kindness has proven to be a hallmark of this facility that I now call home. She lives in independent living and absolutely loves the community and surrounding area. The transportation services make it easy for her to get where she needs to go, and she attends daily workout classes, which she really enjoys. She also raves about the food! We truly can't recommend Westminster Palms enough.

I moved to Westminster four years ago. Best decision I’ve made in years! So many activities to choose from, or choose to have a quiet day. The staff is so amazing” friendly, helpful, and caring. I had a sudden health crisis a few months ago. Before I realized I was in trouble, two staffers came to my aid, supporting me, calling the EMTs, calling someone to come care for my dog, keeping me safe. (Walking distance to white sandy beaches, aquatic swim center, many museums and multiple restaurants) We stayed for three reasons... the people, the people, the people. Westminster Palms is the perfect community in the perfect location. We are right across from the Bay with a beautiful waterside park and beach. Most apartments have a view of the water. And we are just a stone’s throw from downtown restaurants and museums. The Palms has a warm and friendly environment where residents and staff plan and enjoy activities together. There is always plenty to do - physical activities, lectures, special dining, volunteer opportunities, trips, and so much more. But you can always plan your own quiet time. I moved here 10 years ago with no local friends or family. I was instantly befriended and included. That is the typical experience here at the Palms.

Our move from Ft Lauderdale to Westminster Palms was the best choice that we could have made. The Palms checked all the boxes that we wanted for our future. Our 4th floor apartment is beautiful and everything we wanted in our new home. The kitchen is spacious, and we have all new appliances. Our large bedroom looks out over Tampa Bay. We are now enjoying the new floor to ceiling windows thar were installed in the last year and a half. There are so many activities offered here, most with transportation included, that there is no need to be bored or inactive. This location is the BEST!!! We love our walks along Tampa Bay and coffee pot Bayou, seeing manatees, dolphins, rays, and water birds. We are also walking distance to fine dining along Beach Drive. We are very active; dining out every day, going to the beautiful museums, attending the orchestra and symphony performances, and seeing community theatre performances. Like I said, our move to Westminster Palms was the best choice we ever made.

I am so fortunate to be able to spend my twilight years in this fantastic facility. I have been here for 3 years and have loved every moment of it. Firstly, its location is ideal for it is downtown giving me the opportunity to be able to walk to restaurants, stores, parks, the waterfront, and the Museum of Fine Arts. My apartment is just beautiful with a wonderful kitchen which makes me very happy since I love to cook and bake. I am doing so much more here than I did while I lived in my individual home without the responsibility of taking care of that home. There are classes of all kinds available just about every day, two of which I have the opportunity to teach and share my talent with the residents. The residents here seem to be highly intelligent and just as kind and friendly as can be. If it is time for you to make that big decision, choosing Westminster will be the best decision you have ever made.

Great Place to Live!! My husband and I moved to Westminster Palms four years ago into an Independent Living apartment with stunning views. We are delighted with our decision. Why? Beautiful downtown setting near Tampa Bay, short walk to Beach Drive restaurants, the Pier, and waterfront walking/bicycle path. Excellent food, incredible leadership and staff. Extensive activities & exercise/yoga options plus bus trips to restaurants, the Arts plus day trips out of town. And great neighbors!

I am thrilled to share our wonderful experience at Westminster Palms skilled nursing facility, where my husband has received exceptional care. From the moment we arrived, the staff has been nothing short of amazing. Their kindness, professionalism, and attentiveness make a world of difference, ensuring that residents feel supported and valued. The food is another highlight! Each meal is thoughtfully prepared, offering a variety of delicious options that cater to different tastes and dietary needs. My husband has enjoyed every bite! The activities at Westminster Palms are engaging and varied, providing residents with countless opportunities to socialize and stay active. Whether it’s arts and crafts, exercise classes, or movie nights, there’s always something happening that brings joy and fosters a sense of community. We’re also grateful for the lovely room that overlooks the dog park and baseball fields. The view is not only beautiful but also uplifting, allowing my husband to enjoy the sights and sounds of the outdoors from the comfort of his room. Overall, I cannot recommend Westminster Palms highly enough. My mother is a resident at Westminster Palms. She started in Independent Living and this summer she moved to Assisted Living. Most recently, she was evacuated by the Assisted Living staff because of hurricane Ian. The staff and administration of Westminster Palms has always been fantastic, kind, caring, effective and professional. It was an incredible relief for me to know that my mother was both safe and cared with kindness during Ian, when I was many hundreds of miles away. Thank you everyone at Westminster.

If I could leave a zero review I would. Not only did they double bill me while my father was on hospice care, but they charged 500 gloves two days before he died. I could say way more, but I will refrain. This place just ignored my father because he didn't ask for anything. He had Alzheimers and they just left him in the bed. I asked them to take him out on the $2,500 wheelchair I bought on their recommendation. They refused saying he sleeps all the time. All the other people there were also sleeping. Sitting in his excrement, for hours and days, he finally died from bed soars.

I am retired and living the good life at Westminster Palms in St Petersburg, Fl, amid all the excitement of an entertaining and energizing environment inside and outside a beautiful two-block campus. The Tampa Bay location includes a view of the bay and easy access to stimulating activities that include Museums: The Dali, James Museum of Western Art, St. Petersburg Museum of History, Florida Holocaust Museum. Museum of Fine Arts. Sixteen Arts attractions in all. Cross the street and enjoy Westminster’s proximity to North Shore Park, home of the St Petersburg Aquatic Center, where free passes are available for those who want to take a dip or regularly enjoy a water workout in the Olympic size swimming pool. Spacious North Shore Park is home to the World Renown Kids and Kubs Softball Club with age-appropriate softball for seniors 74 and over. If the outside is not entertaining and exhausting enough for your energy level, the is a full complement of activities inside the well-maintained and cared-for campus buildings. Included are: Programs of physical exercise facilitated by two workout areas staffed by personnel who will keep you in shape despite the delicious offerings of the dining service at Westminster.

My FIL has been in the assisted living portion of this facility, and we couldn't be happier about the care and attention he receives there daily. The staff know each individual and work really hard to maintain consistency, lovingly, for them. There are activities for residents to be involved in, for all levels and abilities. Pastor Steven also makes himself available to all residents. The weekly Bible study meetings are inviting and engaging. The location of course is wonderful. We feel comforted and supported by the care being provided to our loved one. Can't recommend highly enough!

My wife Doreen and I came to Westminster Palms in late September of last year. Through the Covid pandemic certainly put a damper on our opportunities to form new friendships and to utilize fully the facilities here at the campus, we have been blessed to meet some pretty special people. The person I would like to recognize and thank is Jill Embree. She discovered pretty early on that my wife Doreen has an atypical form of Parkinson’s disease and she has offered to help with both physical therapy and cognitive help. She carved out time for two sessions a week. Her help has been extremely valuable my wife particularly in helping us find ways to avoid accidents and sharped her thinking. She is a bright, cheerful, encouraging person to be with - Doreen looks forward to each session with Jill. She feels like family, always checking in to see how things are going - being sure she gets any help she might need or want. Jill also knows what it is like to be a care giver and is very helpful to me - being sure to keep me in tune with what she is trying to accomplish and how I can support her efforts. We think she is a real beauty and we are all lucky to have her here at Westminster Palms.

For over four years I have lived at Palm Aire, Westminster Palms, St. Petersburg, FL. I have loved living here and have been very happy. The administration does a great job keeping everything running smoothly, maintainance needs are promptly and effectively met, the meals and dining services are wonderful. The staff do their best to take care of us and to keep us safe and comfortable. COVID has been difficult for all of us, but still, we have been taken care of extraordinarliy well. I made the decision to move to Westminster Palms almost six years ago and have found that it was one of my best decisions ever. After living in our home for almost thirty years my husband became ill and eventually was a total bed patient. After time I became isolated from friends and activities that I was used to. Friends who had already moved here suggested that I could get more help with my husband and would be able to join the many social activities they had for residents. Living here at Westminster has been a blessing for me. We have many activities going on here every day and enjoy going out with groups to concerts, museums, restaurants, parks, sports games, the horse track and anything special going on in the community. The best part is always having someone to go with you. After the virus, we have stayed close to home but the staff here has been so careful and caring, we have felt safe and well taken care of. Westminster Palms has the greatest location in downtown St. Petersburg with Tampa Bay across the street giving us water access and view. We are only blocks from the best restaurants, the new St. Petersburg Pier, Museum of Fine Arts, Dali Museum and Vinoy Hotel and Marina. I feel that here at Westminster Palms I have a lovely home and the staff and residents have become a caring family, easing all concerns of the future.

As the owner of Medication Call Reminder, several years ago I met with an administrator of Westminster Palms Home Care agency about our service that helps people take the right medication, right dose at the right time. I mentioned I was looking for an independent living facility for a family member and I was referred to Westminster Palms. From the moment my sister and I met with Merrilyn Toerner, Sales Director, we were both impressed with the rooms, service and financial incentive for my sister as a retired teacher. Since that time, I've observed how much my sister enjoys being at Westminster Palms and I am assured she is getting the best of care. I highly recommend Westminster Palms for anyone who's looking for independent living and as my sister would "to live life like it's golden".

I think this place is dynamite! I left California to follow my children to St. Petersburg and Westminster Palms was the only place I considered. The location is everything! You’re right on the beach and a few blocks away from downtown. I have a nice apartment on the 12th floor and I’m five minutes away from my son’s house. The cleaning is done very well at a regular basis and you wouldn’t find any more accommodating people than those here. When I lived in my apartment in California, I felt so isolated because my neighbors were either too young or not friendly. Getting the call to move out here saved my sanity. I met so many friends on the elevator and we often go on social outings all over the Suncoast. They call me The Mayor here! I’m on the activities committee and I’ve thrown five big parties, started a poker club and help with the weekly Happy Hour. My relatives and kids think it’s a grand resort. The fitness center, top-floor lounges and bistro are very impressive. There’s a lot to do”sometimes too much! This is a great place for the rest of my days.

A few years ago our granddaughters suggested that we look around at a retirement place. My wife and I had a big house in South Carolina, which came with a lot of maintenance and upkeep. After searching in Texas and California, we decided to look at Westminster Palms and we found that it offered everything we wanted. We like having this nice weather and not having to worry about maintenance. We don’t have to do any cooking, which is great. The staff here is outstanding and very responsive, including the administration and folks in the dining room. We enjoy the bus trips to the hockey games, nice restaurants and parks, which allows us to enjoy the city without driving. I like to walk out and go fishing across the street at Tampa Bay all the time. I’ve met many friends here and it’s a perfect place to stay. It’s like I’ve gone to heaven and I didn’t have to die to do it!
