Placing a parent outside of their home is a hard call. But once the dementia really set in it was very clear that we needed to get my father to a place where he would be well cared for and safe. I live out of state and navigating the eldercare system is a roller coaster of info and experiences depending on who you end up talking to/connecting with.I met Jennifer (community relations) and Leigh (facility director) and immediately felt like I had people looking out for me and my father. And the staff in the memory care unit were amazing! They would send me updates and pictures on the reg or if I asked. Jennifer would go visit my father and facetime with me so that I could see and interact with him, since I live outside of Florida. I was allowed to be in the memory care unit as much as I wanted when I came to visit and I got to watch the staff take care of all the folks in memory care. They were great! Letting residents help when they could and gently redirecting them when they needed to be. When things started to go downhill for my father, everyone was very communicative in letting me know what was happening. And despite the sadness, there were sweet moments of laughter and happiness to be shared. That is something I was very grateful for.Thank you to the memory care unit at Forest Oaks and Jennifer and Leigh for taking such sweet care of my father (and me).

My dad became a resident two weeks ago. To say I was apprehensive is an understatement. My dad has lived on his own for the past 20 plus years since my step mom passed and got very set in his ways. But since being at Forest Oaks Ive seen a complete 180 out of him. Mona was great getting him in and the staff has been outstanding.

All of the staff are very helpful, they are very tolerant, they are extremely caring of thier charges. They also maintain a helpful and understanding of relatives concerns and make every effort to accomodate them. The facility is clean and well maintained. The meals are varied, appear well balanced and nutritious. The residences are offered a selection of entriees at the evening meal.

Over the years I have encountered many long term care facilities and I must say that the staff at Forest Oaks genuinely cares and loves their residents. I know that it is difficult for the residents and families during the pandemic but the staff does everything they can to keep the families updated on their loved ones.

My mother was a resident there before she died and my family found the staff very kind, caring and accommodating. Mom was suffering from Alzheimer (believe me it is suffering) and Lindsey and Nicca took especially good care of her. They were willing to let her assist them with chores and stay in their areas where she felt comfortable. Leigh Dingle (director) and Mona Herreid (community relations) would take time out of their days to let her sit with them and visit and they always had time to listen to concerns from my family.

Wonderful experience with the staff at forest Oaks! The housekeeper (Amanda) went out of her way for my mom, and the aids were very compassionate and helpful. The entire staff were very professional and caring. Giving a shoutout to these special people that helped my mom in their own special way. Thank you Lee , Mona and Art. Also Debbie, Kelly and the night crew of aids that were so wonderful the night mom passed. The Ward family is forever grateful to you all. ?

We chose Forest Oaks of Spring Hills for my uncle because it's clean, friendly, and all the residents seem to be relaxed. There is no smell of urine or feces anywhere in any of the halls. The residents seem to be calm and enjoying themselves. They're really good. They get choices for food and everybody gets something they can like. I've been there different times of the day and walked all around the place, and it always smells clean. The room sizes are very good. They have entertainers coming in, games, and religious services. They have a good activity calendar.

Forest oaks assisted living facility is hands down one of the best facilities in Spring Hill, they have the most kind, caring, compassionate resident care assistants. They make sure all needs are met to the best of their abilities and to make sure everyone feels at home. I really want to give a shout out to second shift and Wumi Moonan who’s always putting in 110% to providing care and the quality of life to the residents. Jane Schooley is friendly, dependable and a very hard worker.She does very well getting the people to their appointments along with her other duties. She works very well with my wife. A deserving 5 on my rating. Ann Miller is a caring and professional person. She attends to the patients needs as they were her own family. She does extra activities to help the morale of the patients. Very well liked Throughout the facility. Diane Bliss does very well keeping a tight reign in the dining hall. Knowing the foods of all the people and serving them quickly. She has a friendly greeting for each table. She has a 4 star Dani Hawk is a med tech, helps Patients in many ways. She is attentive in many ways, and has taken good of my wife. Need assistance, information or just plain help . Stop at the front desk on the right as you enter the facility . Ann Miller is a very caring and responsible medical technician. I never worry when my sister is in Ann's care. She always gives her medications on time. Ann is always there with a smile and makes sure all the residents in her care are comfortable and happy. She not only takes care of the meds she is involved in their total care. She gives showers and makes sure everyone knows when it's time to eat! My sister really likes & trusts her as I do! She listens to your concerns and resolves them as quickly as possible. When you leave after your visit you have no worries because Ann is there!

Amanda Brown is very personable and very helpful. Her smile light's up the room. She keeps the areas in the building very clean. Beth Davis is an asset to the kitchen. Love her soups . Personality plus. Great cook... Ann Miller is very compassionate and takes the time to listen. She explains how a medication works in laymens language so you understand and is patient and caring.

Art Chatraw is an excellent asset to your manager team at Forest Oaks! As maintenance manager he is there to help in a moments notice when something needs to be fixed or repaired. He keeps your facility in tip ,top shape! Art is so helpful & caring to the residents and to my sister who resides there .He's always ready to lend them a helping hand, make them smile and laugh with a joke or two or a funny story. He is a fixer and gets things done and you have no worries when Art is in charge!

We chose Forest Oaks for my mom. The place is fine. Her room is a little too small for two people. They always have activities going on for the residents every day. The people who work there are very pleasant, but they're having trouble getting her medication straightened out. She has to have lots of milk, but they don't provide that, so I'm a little annoyed that I have to buy it and take it to the community for her. In terms of the price, I think that they charge a lot, but that's probably just how it is.

I visited Forest Oaks. It was very nice but too expensive. I wish I could have afforded this place for my husband because it is closer. The people were very nice. It was beautiful. If you can afford it, this would be a nice place to go. The rooms were very nice and set up well. You can have two beds or a single bed in a private room. They had a parlor to sit in, and there are things for men to do. It is a very nice place, but it is for people who have more income.

My mother lives here and I have to say this building, and staff are so intent on making sure she is taken care of. Between meals, and meds and a very clean room, I am beyond words, I find there compaction to be excellent, they go above and beyond for my mother, I am without a doubt very happy with my decision to keep her there. It's not a easy job to do yet they come every day and do so. I am very pleased with the extra care and conversation she gets from everyone she is difficult to deal with, she has made a friend whom I think Go's above her job to make sure she is happy and taken care of, it's here housekeeper Amanda , she will sit and listen to my mom, she has made her food and even made sure she eats it, my mother is diabetic, and this housekeeper makes sure she has what she needs, I believe without a doubt all the changes in staff and the new ed was what this place needed , Leigh is not only a great manager but does more then I have ever seen someone do. So to all the staff and Amanda and Leigh I know my mom is in great hands keep it up, thank you so much for everything, oh one thing that will stick with me is something her housekeeper said to me , this is not just a paycheck it's what I enjoy what people need to know is this is there home , and I clean it as though it were my parents, I think that will always stay in my heart such compatibility is hard to find 5 stars and a big thank you to all of you at forest oaks,

My husband stayed at Forest Oaks of Spring Hill for respite for one week. It was very nice. The facility is set back off the road in a very quiet and wooded area. The staff was very good and nice. He liked it there. They give him his medication, and they were very nice with food service. The activities director was good. My husband enjoyed playing bingo. They took the residents to the movie theater twice, and they also went to Walmart for a shopping trip. The food was pretty good, and they served the people in the dining room. The residents had choices, too.

Forest Oaks of Spring Hill was wonderful, and the people were pleasant. It looked like a nice, clean, well-kept retirement community. It seemed like the residents were pretty active. They busied themselves with gardening, reading books, and talking to people. The dining area was beautifu. There was a nice area there with different TVs for the residents in case anybody wanted to watch old favorites or games.

Forest Oaks was OK. The set-up was not what I thought would be suited for my dad. The layout was done on a circular pattern and I figured that it would be confusing for him. The staff was friendly. They took me on a tour. She showed me what the room would be like and where everything was, like the kitchen. They gave me the necessary paper works and the information about the accommodation. It was a good visit.

I visited this facility a couple of days ago why did to her was wonderful the lady pushed me in my wheelchair from Wing to Wing one of them that we went down was very clean had no smells and I encountered a housekeeper but on a different circumstance I was telling the lady that to hurt me that my wife and I like to go out and do things and get out and this person I believe her name was Amanda walks up and just said I'll take you and I started laughing and so did she all and all I was very happy with the choice especially should be able to laugh when you have such a tough decision to make Amanda was very friendly she was kind and pleasant her Wing was clean the rooms were clean and I told her she's doing a great job she laughed and told me I don't make my head so big once again I laugh is definitely a place that I would come back to just the friendliness of one person can make such a difference in the way someone thinks if I had a chance to I would tell bad housekeeper that because of her when I left I knew that no matter where I chose to go it would be the right decision just hopefully there's more people out there like her please tell Amanda that I appreciate her making a difficult and hard decision so easy for an old man and for that I thank her I also think the lady who took me on a tour she knew so much the kitchen was wonderful overall the whole facility was great

I visited Forest Oaks for my sister-in-law because they have a memory section. We liked it. It was very nice. The people were very nice. The facility was clean. All the residents we saw seemed to be enjoying their stay there. It seemed as if they were all very happy. Everything was very nice. They weren't expecting me, but I got full-service immediately. They had people ready, and waiting for anybody coming in to see the facility. They were very accommodating to any, and all of our questions. We saw the rooms that were in the memory care unit. They had some singles, and some doubles. The kitchen staff was appropriately dressed with hairnets, gloves, and outfits; so the kitchen was very clean. I found it to be better than I had thought because they even had men wearing hairnets if they had facial hair. Also, the place had groups that would come in to entertain the people with music, and dancing; I liked that a lot.
