Feels Like Home. What a roller coaster when making the decision your loved one needs more care than you can provide. I visited over 10 Assisted Living Communities in the area and Pelican Landing is top on our list! From the first moment I met with Linda, and she showed us the community, I was impressed by the energy, friendliness, cleanliness, and welcoming atmosphere. The residents were laughing, happy and engaged. The care that has been provided is the perfect mixture of professionalism, warmth and kindness. The staff has been so receptive to our questions and concerns and attentive to every detail of this journey. Linda has been there every step of the way making sure we have what we need and feel comfortable with this transition.

As a dedicated employee, I can say everyone are absolutely amazing! All management has to be appreciated.... Dianna Cash is phenomenal! Words cannot express how wonderful she is. Denise is also an amazing person. I am grateful to be part of a great team 🙂 Miss Thelma, such a wonderful and warming spirit to be greeted by! Then, there is Nikki....our MC director, who I can't brag about enough!!!! Please bring your family or loved one here, under this teams care. OMG NEVER seen this before and today my heart just melted by the MCD(memory care Director) her name is Nikki, I've seen her work but today she was amazing  , I'm a private care taker my client is a resident of the facility today we had an accident and I was looking for a caregiver and I bump to her so I asked her to send me someone to help because I will need some help to provide the perfect care for the client and she was in heels   dress up, she said "I'll do it" I was so shocked I repeated myself to be sure she heard me I say " may you please let a caregiver know I need help because we had an accident in the room please and thank you " she responded " I'll go and help you with it " she walks in knowing what she will find but without exitation she jump to action. That prove me a lot, a lot of Director don't even know their resident some can't even remember their staff name but fo her to be hands-on with the residents it wonderful that prove the resident are safe and care for.

I'm at Pelican Landing for several months. This facility is now home to me. The Staff are always helpful and caring. If I feel like staying in my apartment, I can. Should I feel like socializing there is the Community Room for games, puzzles, movies and whatever . Entertainment is provided every Friday afternoon. There is a lovely brunch once a month to celebrate various events. So many things are available. In fact there is time for shopping at Walmart as well as outings to various restaurants, museums and other places. I'm content in my new apartment that I decorated myself with the help of Staff.

Our parents moved to Pelican Landing in the fall of 2021. Daddy was in assisted living and Mum was in Memory Care. PL quickly became home to both of them. They saw each other daily, often sharing meals together. The staff, everyone from administration to front line staff, work extremely hard to make PL home for every resident. Daddy passed away in December 2022, following a brief illness. The staff went above and beyond in taking care of our entire family during that trying time. Since neither my siblings nor I live in Florida, after Daddy passed away we decided to move our mother closer to us. It was the right decision for my mother and for our family. The hardest part, however, was having to say goodbye to Pelican Landing. We shed a few tears and so did the staff. It's a shame we couldn't just pick up PL and move it to Atlanta. In just a little over two years, the staff had become part of our family too. We will forever be grateful to the loving care and support PL provided to my parents and to our entire family.

Mom has been at Pelican Landing a little over a year now. I am pleased with the way they care for and treat my mother. There is always someone available to tend to her every need. ALL staff members are pleasant. The building and grounds are well maintained. There are a variety of activities to keep her mind and body engaged. It's nice to have on-site services available too: PCP, therapy, dermatologist, podiatrist. Administrative staff always gets back to me if I have a question. And there's always a friendly concierge to answer Mom's questions! The dining room is well organized, meals well prepared, and plenty of alternative meal selections. PL provides a family-oriented environment for the residents and staff members; that's important!

I can't recommend Pelican Landing enough. My parents have been there for about three months and are so happy. The staff are friendly, kind and helpful. I have peace of mind that my parents are receiving great care and enjoying themselves in a safe, beautiful environment. I have gone back to being daughter instead of day-to-day caregiver. Anyone caregiving today knows the value of that statement and knows how hard it is to let someone else help a loved one. Pelican does it with grace. Moving my mother to assisted living at Pelican Landing was a very stressful time. The management there was very helpful and made the move go smoothly. She has been living there a little over a month now and has had 2 falls. Both times they responded quickly and got her medical care as needed. I live far away and I am not able to be by her side so it is comforting to know the staff there will take care of her.

My mother in law was diagnosed with dementia several years ago. My father in law thought he could take care of her, and while we encouraged him to get help, even offering to research places for him, he stood fast on his decision to take care of her. Until he couldn't. This past year, we learned that he wasn't taking care of her, leaving her in her bed, for days on end, trying to feed her and bathe her, on his own, but with a bad back and knee issues, he stopped doing these things. He never asked for help. I tried, numerous times, to encourage him to talk to Linda, at Pelican Landing. Finally, after she "slipped" off the bed, he called us to help get her off the floor. We drove 2 hours, as fast as we could, running inside (I advocated for him to call 911 but he refused), we helped her off the floor and into her bed. This is when we found out the truth. He could not provide care for her, at all. I contacted Linda, at Pelican Landing, and within a few days, I picked my mom's room, and had my father in law sign the papers. They assessed my mother in law, helped her to the hospital, and then arranged for her to move in directly from the hospital. All of this would not have happened if it wasn't for the help of James Brassard, Linda, and Latoya. James was on the phone with me every day, making sure I was comfortable with my mother's care and helped with the transition. I honestly have no idea what we would have done without him. James still keeps in touch, for updates, and he is always available, if we need him. The nursing staff is doing such a great job, too. It is wonderful to see her quality of life improve so much! Bless the entire staff at Pelican Landing. Truly, I feel they not only saved my mother in law, but they saved our entire family. Thank you all, Shannon Lynch, PhD.

Beautiful facility, spotlessly clean, just the right size - not too big and not too small. Staff is always warm and welcoming when we visit Mom once or twice-a-week. Staff was especially helpful when we struggled with the initial move of Mom out of her house and into the facility. She has since settled in and is now quite comfortable in her new home at Pelican Landing.

Dementia is a extremely hard thing to deal with and they made it easier. After finding them on Facebook we decided to take a look at the facility and now our mom is safe and taking care of. All I can say is EXCELLENT! This is a beautiful facility, that I highly recommend. Our Mom loves her new home here at Pelican Landing. She has commented on how many new friends she has made. Her depression is gone and she is enjoying life again. She can't wait to get dressed and go down stairs to the restaurant and all the activities. This Community has exceeded our expectation with the love and care they have shown my Mother. Danielle, The Memory Care Director goes above and beyond for her residents and staff. The wide variety of Activities that take place keeps Mom busy all the time. They recently had a Wedding Reminiscing Day and everyone loved seeing the old Wedding Photo's and talking about their Wedding Day. Danielle even made a Wedding Cake for everyone to enjoy! This community is the next best thing to having Mom at home with me.
