Aviva is a ship that’s sinking, quickly. It’s an old facility and not been maintained properly. Upper management is paid a lot of money, especially for a non-profit, yet they aren’t doing their jobs. The food is awful, building is extremely dirty, things keep breaking due to being old / not maintained, and the list goes on. They did have really good, caring staff, but most left in the past month due to management and the way the place is run (actually, not run). Please do your homework before moving your loved ones into this community, or any community. It’s probably the last home they’ll have. Make sure they’ll be happy, cared for, have good food, and in a clean environment. There are way too many places in the area that are new, maintained properly, have great amenities, less expensive, etc. When all of the residents, and most of the staff, aren’t happy and don’t feel heard, you know there’s a serious problem. On a side note, most of the residents are very warm and caring.

My good friend was transferred to Aviva/Benderson upon leaving the hospital after a fall. I was greatly impressed with everything about the place from the moment I called and spoke to a receptionist. Kindness, attentiveness, cleanliness, accessibility to nurses, aids and social services, as well as administration was unlike I have ever experienced before. Highly recommend.

My mother has been at AVIVA for almost 2 years - first in Assisted Living, now in Skilled Nursing. Prior to this, she was in 3 other local places. AVIVA staff are genuinely caring and Im so pleased that I finally moved her here. The staff are attentive and you dont feel theyre just going through the motions (sadly, something which seems very common throughout this industry).

My father was only at Aviva for about 2 weeks before his passing. I cant say enough about Justin, the CNA, that took care of my father. Justin was so compassionate and empathetic for my father who could no longer swallow or speak. Justin was very patient and took the best care of him. Really the whole staff was great. The private room was beautiful and reasonable. Thank you all.

I am extremely impressed with the handling of COVID at Aviva-Kobernick. My 93 year old mother is a fairly recent new resident, and although she has been affected by the limitations put in place due to COVID, she realizes that they are necessary. I live out of state and have great peace of mind that she is being cared for in a safe and compassionate way. She often shares with me stories about how helpful and wonderful the staff is. Our family is extremely grateful that she is there.

Very nice community filled with intelligent, engaged, vibrant residents. My Mom was in the independent living part of the community and has now happily made the transition to Anchin, the assisted living part.

It is a wonderful place to live when you need a safe and home like environment. My children found it for me and I am very grateful.You can be as busy as you want, or as little as you wish. I am looking forward to going to the Strawberry Festival in Plant city soon.

Very nice community with a family like atmosphere. You can go from independent apartments to assisted care or a very nice memory unit and if you need skilled that is also here with very large comfortable rooms. I have visited many communities with less activities on site. There is a beautiful chapel where services are offered and residents and families can attend together.
