My wife is an employee at Aravilla (Sarasota). We are also the live in caretakers for my 85 year old mother who is a Hospice patient with Dementia & congestive heart failure. During this time of crisis with hurricane Ian, the owners opened their facility (a Cat. 5 Rated Shelter) to employees and their family. The hospitality, generosity & security I have felt during the last few days has been a heart warming & humbling experience. I have worked in ACLF'S that were severely substandard. It's not the amenities that make a facility like that... it's the administration & staff. Aravilla is professionally operated & owned by men & women with a heart for the matter. We looked for an assisted living facility for several months when a family friend referred us to someone familiar with senior living. She provided us a list, and at the top was Aravilla of Sarasota. By far, this was the most active of the communities we had visited. It is different from other places we had seen. The people that lived there were friendly, enthusiastic, and even engaged us in conversation. Even patients in the Memory Care unit were active and also spoke highly about this place. This was something that we had not seen. Thus far, everything is going flawlessly with the move-in. If you are looking for assisted living or memory care in the Sarasota area, I would highly recommend checking this place out.

As a retired firefighter, paramedic, and fire inspector, I have been in my fair share of assisted living centers. After 25 years of service, one develops an eye for these types of facilities. Having toured a plethora of the local higher-rated facilities, we settled on Aravilla Sarasota for my mother-in-law. By far, the quality of care observed, the positive reports from the residences themselves, and the overall management-supervision exceed anything else we have seen. I can usually find at least one violation or deficiency but not here. Aravilla Sarasota was very transparent, which should be considered another positive attribute. If your loved one needs assisted living or memory care, I would highly recommend taking a hard look at Aravilla.

I have heard so many positive things about Aravilla. They have great reviews on their food, activities and their memory care program. I called a few days ago because I wanted to possibly set up a tour, but the person on the other end of the phone was as rude as can be. She did not seem to want to be bothered by me, she seemed to be annoyed by my questions, which she halfway answered while while I could hear her chewing her gum. Perhaps she had more important things to do or simply wanted to hurry up and go home early on a Friday. Nevertheless, It just did not sit right with me, If she did not have the patience for me how would she have the patience for my father with dementia when he came to the desk. So the quest continues.

This ALF has been Godssend for my husband and I we couldnt get better care than we are right here. The staff is caring and works hard to keep us healthy. We are very fortunate to have found Aravilla Sarasota. There are several who go above and beyond their services. I definitely would recommend Aravilla Sarasota.

My elderly mother has been a resident at Aravilla since November, 2019. I cant say enough wonderful things about it. It is a beautiful, inviting and comfortable environment. The moment you walk in you can feel the difference with other places - in terms of community, cheerfulness and activity. The administrators, nursing staff, activities director, maintenance staff and food staff, are all caring and professional. They love the residents and are always available to talk to family members. This is especially important to me as I live far away in NYC. The most recent notable example of their level of care has been their superlative response to the Covid pandemic. I go to sleep every night confident that my mother is in good hands. As you can see, I highly recommend Aravilla!!

My Dad and I love Aravilla! We had visited often before this pandemic, and were pleased with how they strive for a happy, active, fun lifestyle for all the residents, and it is such a beautiful, new facility. The staff is wonderful and work very hard to handle the daily challenges, especially during COVID 19. My Dad really enjoyed the daily live music, and it will be amazing to resume that, post pandemic. Patty McDonald was so helpful and supportive during his move-in process during these challenging times. Executive Director Carol Copenhaver has been very helpful and supportive during some of his health issues too. We love Aravilla!

The staff at Aravilla have been very responsive whenever I have a question or need for my father who has been there since late February. They have followed the mandates and guidelines due to the Covid-19 virus to keep everyone safe. I appreciate all they have done and continue to do.

My father in law passed away June 6th under hospice care in the Aravilla senior living facility, after living there for the past two years. My wife and I found the place extremely accommodating. It has a great atmosphere, and the management and staff are all we could have asked for. We have experience with senior living facilities in both Michigan and Florida, and beyond a doubt, this is by far the best weve dealt with. Carol Copenhaver, the administrator, was more than gracious in allowing all of his immediate family to see him in his final days, despite the Covid-19 restrictions.

I have done private duty in this facility and it is by far the best in town. Very clean and lots of music and activities. They even have professional dancers come and give dance classes.

Patty and Jen took excellent care in providing the best possible options for my Father. Aravilla is the best Assisted Living facility in the greater Sarasota area! (I looked at 6 others).It feels like a beautiful hotel with all of the amenities of a home environment and more. Beautiful pool, plenty of social activities. Fabulous tv lounge with bar like area for socializing. Highly recommend Aravilla for your loved one.

Best of the Best! My elderly parents are now residing in assisted living at Aravilla since November 2019. The quality of care and service has been nothing less than first class. They truly love their residents at this facility!The staff and cleanliness of Aravilla is second to none. My parents always say that they are well treated and cared for at Aravilla. I would recommend anyone to this facility if they need the services they provide. My mother is happy and safe at Aravilla. They do everything possible to help her navigate any situation that occurs in her life, whether its medical or the social connection to her family that lives up North. Whenever I call Aravilla with an issue, they respond quickly and I feel go above and beyond to resolve it. The surroundings at Aravilla are clean and pretty ! I will always be grateful to the staff at Aravilla for creating a loving, upbeat and safe community for my Mom.

My Aunt was moved from assisted living at BAYVILLAGE in October of last year 2019. BAYVILLAGE failed miserably when she moved from independent living to assisted living. She was not taken care of properly I would never recommend BAYVILLAGE to anyone. ARAVILLA HAS BEEN A GOD-SENT!!! The staff is amazing THEY know what their doing. My mother in-law was also in the memory care wing, she was treated with respect and care. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Patricia
