My family and I can't say enough wonderful things about this facility. They are INCREDIBLE. We have one difficult loved one in our family that we were trying to get set up in independent/assisted living and they went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help us with our loved one! Knowing our loved one would be a challenge, that did not keep them from spending hours helping us get him signed up!! Then, move in day came. We have spent this week setting up the apartment. Peter, Janet, and Kris have all been by almost daily checking in and making sure we have everything we need!!! They are extremely good communicators!!! Beyond the staff, the facility is clean and well cared for. Everyone you meet is kind and it has a VERY lively atmosphere!! They use everything they have. They use their veterans lounge for activities and the salon was open and easy to book with! Happy hour is several times a week, and you see people out walking the lovely walking paths they have. My family toured 4 facilities before we decided on this one and it had us hooked the minute we arrived. It's everything it appears to be and even MORE!! We'd give it 10 stars if we could!

Initially, my family was apprehensive about moving my parents into an independent/assisted living facility, as it represented a significant life change. However, our worries quickly dissipated after they settled into CountrySide Lakes. This community exceeded our expectations, providing them with a remarkable quality of life. My parents started in an independent living apartment, a perfect fit for them. They appreciated the privacy of their own space, complete with a small kitchen. Yet, CountrySide Lakes offered more than housing; it offered a vibrant community. With a dining facility, a variety of community activities, and a supportive staff, my parents quickly formed friendships and engaged in more social activities than we had seen in years… There were times I'd call to check in, only to reschedule because they were right in the middle of playing cards, dominoes, or going out to a group lunch or shopping trip. As their needs evolved, CountrySide Lakes seamlessly transitioned them into assisted living support. The staff's attentiveness extended to every aspect of their care, including medicine dispensing, laundry, and even helping my dad navigate to the dining room when he needed it. The convenience of having doctors and nurses visit, and even being able to take X-rays right in their apartment, was beyond what we could have expected. In addition to the exceptional care, the facility itself underwent a recent renovation. Not only are the rooms impressive, each with a balcony overlooking a picturesque pond, but the communal spaces are meticulously maintained. The location is also advantageous, situated near restaurants, grocery stores, and banks in Port Orange. What sets CountrySide Lakes apart is its remarkable staff. They are not merely friendly; they make it their mission to know each resident personally, including their names, preferences, friends, and family. This level of personalized care creates a truly comfortable and supportive environment. Reflecting on our experience, it is the blend of care, engaging social life, and unwavering support during both happy and challenging times that stands out. Watching my parents thrive in this community has been a joy. If you are considering an independent/assisted living facility that offers personalized care and a thriving community, I highly recommend CountrySide Lakes. It is not merely a place for the elderly to reside, but a place where they can genuinely flourish.

Great place employees are very kind and respectful and have Happy faces which makes a good feeling when you looking around the community. Residents are eager to tell you how great and happy they are in this community. Food is exceptional.so many guest speakers and music all week long. Activities are Plentiful, you have to plan your day. They have a lunch bunch and shows that they attend Frequently. All in all a great place to live.

Our Mom has been a happy resident since 2018, starting out as an Independent resident and now on the Assisted Living program for the past year. Prior to Mom moving to CSL, we researched many ALF options in the area and CSL was the clear best choice. This is an A#1 community, with highly qualified caring staff, too many activities to list, well maintained infrastructure and excellent nursing staff to handle the various elder care situation that arise. Each time I visit, I am more impressed with the entire experience and super happy to have Mom part of this fine community.

I lived at CountrySideLakes Port Orange Florida for one year for three months the man upstairs knocking on my ceiling they did nothing about it worse poor workmanship a piece of flooring let go and i broke a rib I got Xrayed but they did not care the head of sales was disrepectful to women the food was not that tasty I moved out and rented a house

Countrysidelakes Port Orange FL 2020 2021 It was good at first nurses wonderful and then, noise from upstairs kept me up at night for three long months never addressed, there were cockroaches, and then a faulty flooring board came lose and i cracked a rib, they took me to the ER but never asked me how I was doing the salesman was lude and obnoxious the food was fair at best I got out and rented a house

I lived at country side lakes for one year. i am a retired teacher 35 years and a USAF veteran. it was horrible, here’s why – for 3 months resident upstairs keep tapping on my ceiling – woke me nearly each night, disrupted my daytme. Management said that they would move him. they never did, did they really care ? for $ 3500 dollars, monthly, this was unreal. worse, the place is 30 years old, back then, workers used glue to attach baseboards and floor thresh hold plates. well a threshold plate came off and i feel. Got two Xrays, the manager took me for them, never even asked how i was doing. I got a cracked rib from ths incident ! it often keeps me from going to sleep, morgan and morgan are addressing this issue in court. not much happiness at CountrySideLakes, some employees do not say hello. once in a wheel chair, i was tired, i asked a nurse to help me to my room, she said that she was on her break and walked away. the residents sit together in a large atrium and do not speak to each Other, the food is bland at best. for the price, this is not a good place to send your loved one. i moved out, i rented a home, a nurse sees me weekly to check on my medications, a good friend is always there. and,,,,, my new neighbors appreciate me. life is short in old age, choose another.

My dad, lived there one year, we made him leave country side lakes. Here's why the staff was uncaring except for a few, one director, peter was rude, my dad feel when a threshold plate on the floor came unglued, he cracked his rib, two xrays, the director of sales, peter pakuris took dad for them, never even asked how dad was doing, and, there was a noisey person above his room, they never address how it was keeping dad up at night. Now house/private nurse, dad is a lot happier, life is short, dad is a vietnam veteran, a teacher of 35 years, their cost at countrysidelakes = 3,500 dollars a lot of money, our dad deserved a lot more.

Bad place / go eslewhere, here is why. I am 74, 3 college degrees, teacher of 35 years. Lived at country side lakes one year. Last 3 months, man upstairs tapping on floor, promises but nothing was done, many sleepless nights. place is old, a floor threshold plate came unglued, i cracked a rib, still more sleepless nights from the pain, under litigation. food is bland, bad. They really don’t care, eg, in a wheel chair asked the nurse for a push, said not now, i am on my break. Asked Peter, a director, to escort a loved one to room, replied, i am busy right now. not place for someone loved.

I recently visited CountrySide Lakes Independent and Assisted Living in Port Orange with a friend who was ready to transition to the independent lifestyle. We were blown away by our tour! Located on a beautiful, picturesque lakeside property, we were amazed with its ideal location – only a block from the convenient access afforded by Dunlawton Avenue. Peter Pakuris, the Director of Sales and Marketing, invited us for lunch and a tour of this beautiful community. Peter was extremely professional and compassionate. He related expertly to my friend’s needs and was able to set her up in a beautiful, spacious one-bedroom apartment with an enclosed balcony overlooking a stunning, lakeside view. Here are some of the many “positives” that greatly attracted my friend: 1) CountrySide Lakes provides a very social and caring community for its residents. 2) The staff is all about service grounded in a deep respect for residents’ wellbeing and dignity. They even uphold a “no tipping” policy… everyone gets top-level service… absolutely no tips accepted! 3) The dining experience provided by Chef Dale Holmes and his friendly staff was exquisite and delicious. The high-quality food and eating environment obviously contributed greatly to CountrySide Lakes being selected Volusia county’s top-rated Assisted Living Facility for the past seven years. 4) Amazingly, they have experienced ZERO COVID-19 cases! Meticulously cleaned combined with disciplined procedures, they have ensured a safe environment for their residents through these trying times. The staff still gets tested every two weeks and we had to pass a screening prior to entering the front door. 5) The common area and apartments are well maintained and spacious. In fact, the large rooms with ample closets and storage were impressive compared to what we saw in other facilities. The prices are affordable and fare –especially considering the vibrant quality of life offered to residents who call this well-run community “home”.

I am a private duty Certified Nursing Assistant and I have a client that lives in this facility. Ive been going there for quite awhile and I feel they are a wonderful place. The staff are wonderful and friendly, and they treat all their residents with the utmost respect. They keep this facility clean and maintained well. I definitely recommend this wonderful place for yourself or your loved ones. They recently acquired new owners and have done some changes like painting, remodeling, etc.

There is no place I would rather have my 90-year-old Mom living. The facilities are first rate, and the staff is incredibly nice and well trained.The food is great, the dining room looks like it could be on a cruise ship, and the wait staff is friendly and helpful.The assisted living program is first class all the way. Well organized and provided by well trained and friendly staff. My Mom enjoys the frequent attention she receives from the staff!I highly recommend this facility, and would be pleased to discuss my experience here with any prospective residents. I have worked at countryside for going on 6 years now. I first found out about countryside when my grandma moved in I was about 12. I always told myself when I turned 16 I wanted countryside to be my first job. Soon as I turned 16 I started right away. I have been there since. When my grandma moved in I was there almost everyday to see her and I always loved the staff that worked there cause they where always so nice and treated my grandma like family and that was such a blessing to me. I started in the dinning room serving and came after school everyday from high school and loved coming into work seeing all the wonderful residents and staff. I am now in the kitchen as a kitchen supervisor and I can say I wake up everyday loving my job because of the wonderful staff we have and amazing residents. I am blessed everyday to say I work at such a great place!

I have been an employee at CountrySide Lakes for about 2 years now. I love the community here and how close you become to the Residents of CountrySide. I feel so lucky to work somewhere that has such a close bond with all Employees and Residents. The facility is beautiful with so many social spaces for everyone. My favorite place is the Library and Pool table area on the third floor, its a great place to quietly read and socialize. I have been working at Countryside Lakes for three years in the dietary department, and I am currently a dining room supervisor. There is no other place I would want to work. This was my first job and it has been such a wonderful experience. Working at CSL has opened my eyes to see things the way elderly people see them. To me, the residents are like grandparents to all of us. They are also loving and sweet to our staff. They tell us their life stories, and teach us how we can live better, fuller lives. The residents give me hope, hope for a long and happy life.The whole staff is always so caring, kind, and loving to each other and to our residents. I love working in the dietary department because I get to frequently communicate with the residents (plus I really, really like food). Our food is incredibly delicious and our staff serves the residents so joyfully. The nursing staff takes great care of our residents and meets every need an individual has. CSL is always very clean, and has beautiful decor throughout the building. Our facility is so beautiful, with a great view regardless of any location inside building. I have never felt more at home. I love being a part of Countryside Lakes.

Visited a resident here one week recently on three different days and found the grounds, facilities, dining experience and, most importantly, the staff to all be first rate. I feel quite qualified in, and comfortable with, passing on my observations because my last job before retiring involved seeing, first hand, a number of similar facilities and interacting with numerous residents of those facilities.
