Absolutely great place! Amazing staff and extremely communicative. Any issue is resolved with quickness and effectiveness. The nurses show extreme resilience and care for their patients, front office staff and executive director, Sam, are incredibly polite and communicative. If you really want your people to be cared for this is definitely the place for them.

Homestead is such a beautiful facility, inside and out. The staff seem to care a lot more than any other place I’ve had my mother in. I have never heard her complain about how she’s being treated nor of her living conditions. She loved how many activities there are for her to do & how interactive everyone is, residents and including employees. I want to thank Homestead for making my mom feel more than at home and welcome. Every single member of staff are all so sweet and effective in their work. 5 star facility all around. Way to go Homestead!

This assisted living facility is wonderful all around. The building is clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming. The staff are kind, professional, and attentive, making residents feel truly cared for and respected. Communication with families is clear and consistent, which brings great peace of mind. A special mention goes to the director, Sam, who is outstanding. She is compassionate, approachable, and deeply dedicated to the residents and the quality of care. I would recommend anyone who needs help with a loved one to homestead! My grandfather lives here and is always saying how happy is he which is huge for our family. You can see and feel the love and care. Clean, attentive, and so many fun options for activities. After speaking with the director and staff you can tell they are always looking for ways to better the quality of life and truly listen to input. The feeling of family is 10/10

Although I do not live at the facility, my sister does. I have found it very clean, friendly staff, excellent restaurant for the tenants and my sisters neighbors are wonderful. The management is very good and addressing the issues if any of the buildings or the needs of assistance of the residents. I would highly recommend the Homestead Village if your in need of placing a family member in a safe place and if the need assistance with the daily lives.

I am grateful to have Homestead Village as a community partner in the care of our geriatric population. I have found that they are kind, compassionate, caring, and go the extra mile for each guest that stays within their facility. They take time to get to know their residents and their family members. They invest in each guest by learning what makes them happy and what encourages them. The care team works with each guest and their family to create individualized plans of care. The level of care to their guests is consistently excellent and delivered with true kindness and compassion. Amy and Sam are knowledgeable in senior planning and take time with each guest and their family to ensure the move-in is smooth and they are patient and take time to answer all their questions. Homestead Village is truly an asset to our community!

We placed my in-laws in assisted living at Homestead in March of 2023, and they lived there despite our efforts to get management to improve several situations, until two weeks ago, when we felt the need to move them to a much better facility. The worst of our complaints was that the emergency pull cords in each unit and the pendants provided to residents commonly did not work most of the time, and the pendants did not even have fall detection built into them! We went to the administrator many times about this but the situation was never remedied in her words, it’s tied to the internet and that goes out nearly every time it rains. This is Pensacola, FL, where it rains a lot! Also, the food quality was steadily going downhill, and residents were often served their noon and evening meal on paper plates with plastic utensils. There was one wonderful caring caregiver for the residents, named Gloria, whom we all loved very much, as she went above and beyond. Without her, my in-laws could not have stayed as long as they did. The head nurse, Deb, also cares for her residents, and tried hard to help with issues, like the medication management , when we had problems with that. Jennifer in PT was also great. But most of the caregivers at Homestead spent more time on their phones or outside smoking than doing anything for the residents. Until there’s a change in management at this facility, I do not recommend it.

Adorable community, with everything all in 1, Independent, Assisted and Memory Care so you or your family member can age in place. Has a beachy feel, all the residents are always sitting on the porch, rocking in their rocking chairs, it's just precious! Highly recommend this community!!!!

The care and concern are good. The food is one star at best. My wife is in memory care. The meals are nicely presented, normally cold, and usually without consideration of the resident. Staff turnover is high. The place is clean and no critters.

I absolutely love sending my patients over to Homestead. Their homelike cottages make for a cozy atmosphere and makes you feel like you never left home. Their activities team is also phenomenal with the fun outings and everyday activities they provide for their residents. If you are looking for yourself or a loved one for an assisted living or memory care place, I highly recommend giving Homestead a call. You will not be disappointed.

Be prepared to follow up two or three times with every request/issue, especially with medications and maintenance. Also, make sure the emergency pager works for your loved one, my mom had to call 911 on her own on two occasions because it didn't work. This was a known issue that was ingored. Everyone there is generally nice, but there doesn't seem to be any real leadership or accountability when problems arise. Also, Ginny (review below) is telling the truth, my father also passed away without being able to move there and they kept the $1500 deposit from us as well. You will deal with corporate greed at some point if you do business with them.

My sibling was a resident here for two years and passed away less than 6 weeks ago. All seemed to go OK until he passed away. Then things got unethical. Homestead went down the resident's emergency contact list which included siblings and one of several children to try to get several hundred dollars. (None of his siblings or child had signed for any debt). Also I believe by Florida law, the debt follows the decedent and is owed by the estate. I had told them three days after my sibling passed to file it with the estate and not to bother me. But they continue to call. His poor child has been pestered 5 times at least. Today Tellina called a sibling AGAIN and the child. She said to the child who is quite raw from losing his parent, "you must pay, family members are responsible. And if you don't, I will have to take it up with corporate." Tellina had also made the rounds with the siblings saying we needed to pay today. Could this practice be a violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act? Could homestead have done this calling to other grieving family members who had not signed a contract of other residents? Could corporate be telling employees like Tellina to do this because it saves time-- often going through the process dictated by estate law takes longer and does not guarantee full payment. If you are reading this review, do you think they will find a signature from a family member agreeing to pay?

My Daddy is a current resident at this location and I myself have worked some contracted work here as well. I am very pleased with every visit I have had here. My Dad is very happy here and has made so many new friends not only with other residents but with staff members as well. We (myself and my 2 daughters) come and visit often and eat with him and play pool with him as well as other activities. He jokes about how he has gained some weight because he likes the food so much. He talks very highly of Mr Lance! (The cook) I'm happy because I know his medicine is well managed now as when he was living with me we struggled to remember and manage his appointments to get his meds refilled and all. it has truly eased my mind as I often worried about him and his health I can't thank you all enough for all that you do!

My family loves it here. The staff and management are wonderful. The facility is beautifully designed and kept very clean. They have so many activities to keeping and body active. The director actually CARES for the residents like it's her very own grandparents. So glad I found this place.

My friend has been living at Homestead Village for over 5 years now. She has gone from building C where she needed a little help to Building K where they pretty much do everything for her. The staff is kind and affectionate, the facilities are clean and they have been very accommodating to her special needs. I highly recommend this facility if you are in need of elderly care.
