Such a wonderful environment. The facility is always clean and well maintained. Palm Bay Memory care provides a setting where our loved ones can safely live with dignity and autonomy which creates a true home like environment. All the staff I’ve encountered have been so kind and respectful. Special shout out to Melissa the director of wellness for always going above and beyond for the patients. Your compassion is shown with every interaction. Jasmine and Sandra are always on top of things and patient. Would absolutely recommend to my friends and family!!

I would highly recommend Palm Bay Memory Care to anyone searching for the perfect place to place a loved one. After visiting many Assisted Living-Memory care facilities in the area we were extremely impressed by PBMC. The facility is beautiful, clean, bright and well kept. James was very helpful, patient and went out of his way to ensure a seamless transition for my Mom from her care home in California. The staff at this facility is upbeat, friendly, polite, courteous and supportive. There are daily activities for the residents to keep their minds active and help them thrive. Most importantly, my Mom is happy. She has made a few friends which she enjoys chatting with and she has nothing but positive things to say about Palm Bay Memory Care.

Anyone who is put in the position of being a care taker knows how emotional and difficult it can be, to come to the conclusion that your loved one now requires more help than you, or they, can give themselves! Now comes the task of who or what type of facility you will put your trust in to care for your loved one! There are many! And they come in all different shapes and sizes! But after some research, reading reviews and a few tours, in my heart of hearts, I felt that the Palm Bay Memory Care Facility was the one that would suite my uncles needs and personality the BEST! From the very first appointment that my husband and I had with James B(the Executive director) we felt so at ease!Never once did we feel like we were being pitched to, James was as up front and honest as he could be! Definitely a refreshing trait when having to deal with someone in the business world! Honesty today is very hard to come by, But each step of the way! This young man has proven that he genuinely cares about your loved one and you! James is amazing at being calm and putting you at ease too, he helps you to find solutions to what you feel may be an obstacle. The staff is also AMAZING! Every one of them actually seem like they really want to be there! They have some how found a way to make everyone feel like family! On my uncles day of admittance, they made him feel sooooo special! Another thumbs up for James was this! He and one of the nurses(La toya)had already come to my uncles home earlier that week to meet and assess him, he and James connected very well over their love of dogs and how my uncles dog bypassed my uncle and jumped right up on James and fell in love with him! Lol! Anyway, James was off on the day that my uncle moved into the facility, but he made it a point to be there to welcome my uncle in so that he could see a familiar and friendly face to put him at ease! I honestly cant remember the last time Ive seen my uncle that happy since my Aunt died (his wife) as I did at that day of check in, the staff allowed him to tell them stories and Jokes! It was so heart ♥warming. This place does not believe in one size fits all! Each resident gets their own care plan based on their individual needs! So if someone were to ask me if I would recommend this facility? The answer is 100% Yes! With much appreciation for all of the staff at The Palm Bay Memory Care! Please continue loving what you do! I see you and it shows! Natalie J

My family and I are extremely grateful for the support James Brassard and the rest of the team at Palm Bay Memory Care have given our aunt. Being out of state, James was integral in facilitating her move. He coordinated every detail with such care and kindness. The team at Palm Bay Memory Cares has always been responsive to any inquiries related to our aunts care and they have kept us apprised of all matters concerning her. We feel confident we made the best decision for her care when we chose Palm Bay Memory Care.

The executive director and staff were very quick to respond to my needs and helped with everything to make a smooth transition from a rehab to their facility. The facility is clean, well maintained and there are no smells as you would expect in many facilities. They do an excellent job caring for the people and I cannot thank them 1enough for their attentiveness and professionalism. If youre looking for a facility for someone you care about go see James the executive director and he will take care of everything.

Palm Bay has been the best experience for both my brother and our family as we find all the staff compassionate and helpful in every way. I continue to receive updates almost every day regarding my brothers care, his medical needs or changes. The entire staff is deeply knowledgeable about dementias, the reactions that can occur and all the needs of the residents.James, the executive director, is a phenomenal asset to the community with his information and expertise in getting my brother situated in his new home. James reassured me that they would be able to handle my brothers anger and outbursts, and they have done this, with respect and dignity. James was the only one able to get my brother back to his room after he had walked continually around and around the courtyard for hours in frustration.Eli, the maintenance director, has continued to check in with us as we moved my brother in and was always ready to help in any way. Sandra and Mike on the day shift came out to the courtyard to introduce themselves to my brother and to attend to his needs. Shine is truly full of sunshine and so pleasant and caring. Thelma, Jasmine and Brianna go over and beyond with compassion and empathy. The facility is exceptionally clean and always buzzing with activity. The nurses and med techs are always accessible and listen when you have a concern rather than brush you off. Within minutes you will have your answer, or they send another caretaker to attend to the question. Open communication and service at its finest with respect, dignity and concern for both staff and residents. Even the residents stroll the hallways smiling and exchanging conversations. Such an exceptional experience after the prior 3 months of substandard care at another local facility. We are extremely grateful with my brothers new home. Knowing that my brother is safe, happy, and content and that there is always someone paying close attention to him gives us a peace of mind. It truly is a family atmosphere and is portrayed in all the smiles and cheerfulness of the staff and all the residents. My one regret was not looking at Palm Bay when we first needed to place my brother in memory care.

I have a family member in Palm Bay Memory Care. He has been there for 18 months. The staff is very caring. I have noticed a significant improvement in staff communication with family members in the last 3 months. I have had updates in condition changes when needed and his medications are ready for us to take when we have medical appointments. I think that the staff are concerned for his welfare. They were worried when he had a hospital admission last month and very relieved to see him return. The restrictions imposed by the Covid pandemic have been stressful for everyone. This little community has done a splendid job of preventing resident and staff infections. The staff are our heroes. Thank you to everyone.

My 94 year old dad has been a resident at Palm Bay Memory Care since September 2020. He enjoys living there. We looked at a number of facilities in the area before deciding on Palm Bay Memory Care. We were looking for a home that offered physical, mental, and social stimulation. We are very pleased with the amount of interactions he is able to take advantage of throughout the day, and the amount of freedom he has to make his own choices. When dad was living at his own home he would spend most of the day working in his garden or taking long walks. Palm Bay Memory Care has a large, beautiful court yard that dad accesses when ever he likes. He loves that backyard. The facility is clean and nicely decorated. My dad has a large room with a window facing the courtyard. The staff and director at Palm Bay Memory Care have been wonderful. Everyone working there seems friendly, happy, knowledgeable and eager to help. The residents are treated in a respectful and caring manner. When we have questions, they have always been answered promptly and respectfully. We are very happy with the Palm Bay Memory Care facility and staff. My dad is happy and safe. It is a joy to visit him there.

I have been hesitant to post, but feel that now is a good of time as any. We met James when my mother first moved into the community, in fact, we were in contact for some time prior. He always called to check in with us. When we finally made the decision to our mom, we were introduced to Executive Director. She was nice, and we chatted on separate occasions. I expressed concerns that were never really addressed. Our family at one point considered moving our mom to another community.Shortly after, last year we received a letter stating that James would be the Director. At this time, I was unsure what to expect., and was nervous. The nervousness quickly faded when James reached out to inquire about our overall experience with the community to date and to explain his new role. He asked for suggestions and things that we felt were important. At the time I assumed the call was more political then anything else. In the months that have followed, our family has witnessed changes within the community, all positive. The communication has improved 10 fold, no more waiting for return calls! I have been impressed with how quickly return calls are done and how promptly any concerns are handled. Knock on wood, this has been a refreshing change. Through my initial conversation with James, he had discussed his plans for the community moving forward, all of which have been done He discussed his goal of promoting from within as those are the people that know the residents the best. I have had interactions with Jill, who is now the assistant director, she was truly wonderful in programming, and always assured the residents were occupied and enjoying their time. Thelma, who replaced Jill in programming has a heart of gold. She is just about the nicest person you could meet. You can tell from the moment you say hi to her, that she is interested and cares about each resident. The team at Palm Bay has stayed in continued contact with us regarding the current COVID situation. I am excited for my mom to be receiving the vaccine next week. What I am most impressed in regards to the COVID environment is the extra steps the team has taken to ensure our mom is safe and healthy. Also when the staff calls they always take the extra step to explain things and answer questions, they could easily say what they need to and move onto the next phone call, but they dont. They take time to explain how, why, and what it means. This provides clarity which is reassuring. We are hoping that once the vaccine is done, it will allow for more interaction and activities. In the span of a year, our family has gone from questioning if we should move our mom, to being thrilled of our decision. When we talk to each other, we have even said over the holidays that if something happened to us we would want to move there. James, Jill, Thelma, and Eli, thank you for giving us peace of mind and taking amazing care of our mom. Keep up the amazing work, its noticed!

I called this place yesterday to see if they could maybe see about a transfer from Las Vegas to their facility. Unfortunately they were not able to accept the resident BUT I just need to let someone......anybody.....know how absolutely wonderful James is. Not only did he call me back in a very timely manner but he also helped me in giving me information that would help me locate an appropriate setting for my transfer. He could have easily blew me off and didnt. He is an absolute asset to this company and any future companies that will be lucky enough to employ him. Thank you for the priceless information James! Im so glad I was able to get my wife Bobbi into Palm Bay Memory Care (PBMC) on June 15, 2020. Her Alzheimers Disease reached a point where the experts said I could no longer take care of her myself. It was a very tough decision, but as it turns out, it was the best one. James Brassard, the director, guided me through the process. His extensive knowledge made me think of things I would never have known or thought to ask. He and his staff coordinated everything for her arrival via medical transport. There was never any sales pressure, rather it felt like James was working *with* me to arrive at the best decision and achieve the best care possible. It was easy to trust James from the very start. His calm and assured manner spelled trust; here we are over 4 months later and James has proven consistently to be an open and honest communicator on every occasion. To me, that is a rare and very welcome characteristic.Bobbis care is above reproach. Physically and medically, I feel she has improved since being at PBMC. The daily routine, nourishing meals and open nature of the campus lends itself to outdoor activities with good natural lighting. While there is so much open space, it is well protected and fenced for safety. She has made friends there. There is a relaxed atmosphere conducive to calming and soothing her.Of course Alzheimers Disease is draining her of cognitive capacity, yet the staff is keeping her comfortable. If I had to describe my impression in a few words, she is comfortable and content. Partially responsible for this is the competence and caring I see in the staff. During visits, I have noticed how they handle other residents when no one is watching. That tells the real story. There must be a few of the staff I have not yet met, but of those I have spoken with, Id be happy to have any one of them as a friend.Another factor that impresses me is how careful and diligent PBMC has been through the whole year of COVID-19. Every resident there has a high risk profile for the virus. They take the responsibility very seriously and follow best practices. State of Floridas Governor DeSantis issues statements and guidelines which PBMC follow to the letter. Until after the Governors proclamation of September 1st, 2020 we were only allowed visitation via a window visit. A conference room was designated for the purpose, and between visits, the staff sanitized the room. It wasnt ideal with me outside the building and Bobbi inside, but it was a required safety precaution. What made it more tolerable was the cooperation and understanding of everyone involved. It was clearly more effort for them, yet I never saw a scowl or heard a grumble. Almost as if they cared about me too.We are now at the point where I can visit inside the building in a dedicated room that gets sanitized between visits. Still, every precaution is taken, and I can give Bobbi the emotional support no one else can provide. These visits are probably as helpful for me as they are for her. Maybe even more. Soon I hope to be able to visit in her room and take a nap in her grandmothers recliner-rocker. It was our favorite and she deserved having it with her.Leaving Bobbis care up to anyone but me was a very difficult decision, in fact the hardest Ive ever made. It has taken me a while to adapt and given me time to reflect. The facts that she seems content and well cared for let me sleep at night.Thank you James, Patty, Judy, Jill, Thelma, Eli, and everyone else helping my wife of 38 years on her journey through this terrible disease.Denis Yantz

We were not able to continue care for our mother--She had Alzheimer's and had uncontrollable anger towards our Dad. We promised each other we would never place her in a home, however, when we met James with Palm Bay Memory Care, our perception of how memory care homes operated changed our whole view. James even came to our home for a personal visit and met mom personally--She loved him! We placed her at Palm Bay and she already has friends and has settled into a new life with no anger issues and is thriving. They really know what they are doing in creating a safe and loving environment, without all the drugs! Thank YOU Palm Bay Memory Care for being different and for truly caring about our elderly parent.

Mom, who has dementia, is moving to Palm Bay Memory Care in a month. When I took a tour of Palm Bay I found an openness to the facility that resembles assisted living where residents are able to move freely through the building and grounds. Mom will be able to socialize with other residents and participate in activities. James Brassard, the director, took me through the building and out to the grounds which are open to all the residents. I was impressed with the staff I met and the residents seem very comfortable with their surroundings. James was very helpful in making this decision and made himself available to answer any questions our family has. It's never easy to place someone you love in the care of others, but I feel that this will be a good fit for mom. I will update this review once mom has had some time to settle in.

I placed my 90-year-old mother with Palm Bay Memory Care one month ago. I would be a liar to say that I didn’t have some trepidation about the move. She had been in two other Memory Care facilities: both were okay but neither was able to provide the level of care she desperately required. In fact, the last facility literally pushed her out saying “Palm Bay Memory Care is the best place for someone with her needs”, because they “couldn’t deal with her”. It turns out they were right: Palm Bay Memory Care IS the best place for her! My mom is a “sundowner”: she gets agitated when the day is ending and tries to escape the confines of her room (and the facility), sometimes with force. At PBMC the courtyard is HUGE and she is able to go outside whenever she likes. Knowing she can “get out” at will and sit under the open sky has been very effective in giving her a sense of control and safety. Of course, there is a 12-foot fence to the south that makes escape impossible! The wrist bracelet she wears 24/7 is part of the “Skynet” location network used to keep track of her inside and out. Inside the facility, my first impression was “modern” and “clean”. Hallways are wide and well-lit. The building interior is a basic “U” which makes for three corridors that creates both a feeling of spaciousness and a sense of community as residents interact on their way to their many daily activities. There are memory boxes by each resident’s room door and many reproductions of LIFE magazine and Saturday Evening Post covers are prominent: some residents use the magazine cover wall art to locate their rooms. Dementia care is one of the most difficult end-of-life services in which to find quality, particularly in the level of staffing. We have been blessed at IL with experienced caregivers who are empathic and professional. They know how to cope with mom’s fragmented memory and are soothing when she becomes confused or agitated. You can tell by the look on mom’s face when they engage her one-to-one that she feels like she is both important and wanted. I was surprised how quickly staff learned her name and remembered enough about her patient history information to have personal conversations with her almost immediately. One only has to examine the constant stream of photos and videos of the residents that are available on IL’s Facebook and Internet pages to see just how seriously staff members take their jobs of interacting with the residents. I’ve been able to see part of her new life that I didn’t know existed. I have to give props to a few staff that have stood out in the past month: Eli, who can get ANYTHING hung on the wall of the residences in seemingly seconds; Digger, who is a constant source of sunshine in the lives of our loved ones, keeping them involved and moving; Jill, who pulls some incredible rabbits out of her hat when it comes to planning interesting, engaging activities for the residents; Debbie, who oversees our parent’s medical/health needs; Phil, who works with the kitchen staff to generate food that is both fun and fabulously tasty; Michele, the Executive Director who’s not afraid to get out of her office and dance with the residents; and especially James, who is the first person in ALL of our experiences with my mother’s dementia who knew EXACTLY how to talk to and interact with my mother, giving her a level of calmness and peace that I had not seen since my father died in 2018. He is the main reason that we chose PBMC as the place where my mother would enjoy her remaining days in safety and peace. I’m sorry that Kate Midden (below) apparently had a bad experience, but I have not seen an iota of the problems mentioned. In our family’s experience, every facet of PBMC has been exemplary, from the staff to the facility itself. In closing, I think the finest compliment I can pay them is that if I ever require the level of care that my mom is receiving, I know I will get it at Palm Bay Memory Care.

What an amazing team at Inspired Living at Palm Bay! Michele and James have been so extremely helpful throughout this process. It is difficult to make decisions for a loved one when they reach a particular point in their lives and Michele and James guided us through each step with love and patience. My father's move went so smoothly. The maintenance crew (Cooper and Eli) were extremely helpful and even helped hang all the pictures. My father's nurse (Corrine) was so kind and made him feel welcomed. Francesca has such a kind heart and helped him become more comfortable with his new home. I cannot say enough good things about Inspired Living. It’s hard to have a loved one go into dementia care- the disease itself is hard to understand and the options are not always attractive. However I can say that after being at Inspired Living at Palm Bay for only a short time, my dad is already lighter and happier. The staff is so upbeat and attentive, they laugh and joke with my dad, who’s not very intelligible. The sparkle in his eyes has come back around a group that understands and truly cares for him. I moved my dad from NY down to Palm Bay and I was very unsure how we’d make the trip succesfully. James at Palm Bay flew up to help us with checking my dad out of his former facility, and to get his successfully through the plane ride. He kept him calm and entertained, knowing just how to manage the disease during what could have been an extremely stressful environment for my dad. There’s no way we could have made this transition without the caring folks at Palm Bay- they were in constant touch every step of the way and unbelievably accommodating. I feel so confident that we’ve made the right choice- it is just head and shoulders above anything I’ve seen out there.

Our family member lived at Inspired Living for quite sometime prior to him passing. We were comforted by the staff at the community. They are angels, and helped our family through an incredibly difficult time.

Its a hard decision to make when deciding to take this step with a family member. It was for me. I had met with the office staff, who were friendly, considerate and knowledgable. After considering all the variables, I chose Inspired Living in Palm Bay. Cost is a major factor, especially when I looked at other memory care facilities. Private care is expensive, but Inspired Living in Palm Bay met my budget with a private room. The facility is clean and the staff helpful. I met with the chef and he sat with me to discuss diet and any special needs. Rooms are secured. Residents cant sneak out. Every resident has a locator bracelet to help locate your family member on the facility mapper. I visit once or twice a week to ensure good care is provided. There was some adjustment time for her to learn her new surroundings, but after a few months has settled in. She has Dementia-Alzheimers. care is provided 24-7, 365 giving me peace of mind when Im not there. There is no easy answer in these trying times, but I think I made a good choice in choosing Inspired Living of Pam Bay.
