My husband, John and I have a motto that states, "Better five years too early than one day too late!" That was the impetus to investigate a move into Vi at Bentley Village. We have just moved into one of the new apartments and could not be happier. It suits our needs beautifully and is a joy to inhabit. New neighbors are friendly and reach out. Activities are plentiful with classes and lectures from FGCU regularly, and the thoughtfully designed par 3 golf course is beautifully maintained and calling to us. The staff is very friendly and so helpful whenever needed from Administration to Housekeeping and Maintenance. AND the food in the dining rooms is not only delicious, but beautifully prepared and presented. We look forward to many happy years ahead in our new home.

I lived in Bonita Bay for 34 years, and it was wonderful. Many of our friends had opted to move to other communities in their "retirement "years. Apparently, we were destined to follow them because, out of the blue, we got an offer for our home we could not refuse. We had some doubts about the move but, after being at Bentley for 6 weeks we can broadcast to the world that we are happier than we could ever have expected. At age 95 I have found the golf program at Bentley Village to be one of the best available at any CCRC. The Pro Shop staff is excellent and the Course perfectly maintained. (Got my 2 " hole in ones" here)! Several years ago we formed a "Coffee with Comrades" veterans group with a dozen participants. It has now become "Bentley Veterans Association" with a hundred members. The programs on and off campus are very well received.

My mother lived in Bentley Village until she was 100, and my in-laws lived in BV until they were 97 and 99. Over my 23 year involvement with BV, I never had one issue!!! When my husband and I became age eligible (!) I spearheaded the decision to move here. John was very resistant in spite of the reality that our parents were so very happy here. Ultimately he agreed to the move, and we are both so pleased with our new space. We are both fortunate as we are healthy and involved in many activities. We will be snowbirds in Grosse Pointe, Michigan where we have family and friends. We now take life one year at a time. I am so relieved that we have made this decision and look forward to getting involved. Anne Roberts

I moved to Bentley just before Hurricane Ian hit nearby. The management took wonderful care of us during the hurricane and the few days after when power was out. The minor hurricane caused leaks and damage were quickly and thoroughly addressed. This gave me great confidence for my future life at Bentley Village. The residents here are super friendly and welcoming....I knew no one. The easy socializing has been really nice. I also love the large property with green views from our apartments and plenty of walking/biking trails. This is a good place for healthy aging!

After visiting my Mom who lived at Bentley Village for 21 years, I couldn't find a place as wonderful as Bentley when it became my turn to live in a CCRC. The staff is terrific, the food wonderful with lots of choices from 3 restaurants and the residents are friendly and have amazing life experiences. It's easy to stay fit with a first rate gym, many walking paths and a golf course on site, which inspired me to take up the sport. With so much open space, the birding opportunities are everywhere.

On our eightieth birthdays, we decided it was time to look for health care alternatives before we got old. After lots of research with in-home care agencies, transition care, seminars and multiple facilities, it made sense to follow many neighbors from Bonita Bay to Bentley Village. After moving ten months ago, it has turned out much better than anticipated. From the friendly sales decision-making process, expert move-in coordination, and settling into a model that fit all of our needs, we could not feel better about our choice. There are many expectations that worked out as well as advertised. The food choices and quality are excellent. All of the staff and employees are smiling and fun to be with. The management keeps us apprised of changes, both positive and negative, with timeliness and clarity. And suggestions and concerns are responded to quickly and appreciatively. The most unexpected pleasant surprise derives from the choice of three different daily dining room experiences. It conveniently allows us to be paired with many new-to-us residents, whether long time, or recently arrived. And to our delight, many of those have the potential to be both long-term and precious relationships. All of these conditions have led us to our Bentley Village mantra: "It's easy living, it's fun, and they take good care of us." Edna & Steve

My parents moved to Vi just at the start of Covid. From Covid through hurricane Ian (this past week), the communication with the residents requested “in case of emergency” contacts, has been superb. When visiting the staff had been professional, thoughtful, and very kind. When my father had a cardiac episode, assistance was there immediately. The peace of mind this gives me is priceless!

Living at Bentley Village for the past 12 years has been priceless. The warmth generated from the other residents and the staff is one of the very special bonuses of living here. I'm a snowbird and I realize more than ever what a "gift" living at Bentley Village is whenever I return from my summer home. I am very well cared for and life is easy and fun. It's such a privilege to live on this beautiful campus with such special attention given to me and where there's so much to do when it's desired. It was the best decision I could have ever made.

The facilities are lovely. The food is really poor at best. We moved here to enjoy our retirement and cooking each day was not in the plan. Requests and suggestions fall on deaf ears. This is not 5 star.

We are residents of Vi at Bentley Village since December, 2016. Our favorite hobby has been walking and exploring the 10 miles of campus trails. We have yet to cover them all. We have seen turtles, rabbits, herons and countless varieties of birds. Bentley is a unique community of over 156 beautifully landscaped acres with amazing people and facilities, happy and helpful staff, and in our minds Bentley is worthy of a solid 10 rating!!! Vi Bentley was our choice after visiting four other senior living communities in Naples. We moved into Bentley in the midst of the Covid restrictions but immediately felt welcomed and safe. The campus is like living in a beautiful botanical garden with acres of preserve, a 18 hole executive golf course, miles of walking trails, a resort like pool, and tennis, bocce, and croquet courts. Our three restaurants are in the process of re-opening and community life is coming back to normal. We are excited to make new friends and to become involved in the life of the community.

My husband and I moved into Bentley Village a couple of months ago and already it feels like home. We really liked the warm vibe in the community when we looked round the property and now we are actually here, we find we have been overwhelmed by the warm friendly welcome from both residents and staff. We looked round several CCRCs before deciding on Bentley Village. The low rise buildings with beautiful grounds, golf course, outdoor facilities such as croquet, bocce etc were a draw not to mention the 3 dining rooms (2 currently open whilst returning slowly to pre-covid norms) but the real draw was the low key friendly and welcoming vibe. The other residents are so welcoming and the staff simply cant do enough to please. We are so happy that we chose Bentley Village and are looking forward to enjoying all the facilities as well as making new friends.

I came to VISIT Bentley Village approximately two years ago...kicking and screaming! I wasnt ready, they did not have what I was looking for at the moment, but I gave in and took a unit in the East Clubhouse. Well I was wrong. I fell while running to Mah Jongg. I was determined to play and refused the ambulance and fire dept. that arrived and went to play Mahjong. Needless to say I needed to be here ‘cause I spent a weekend at the hospital and 5 months in the Care Center. Did I need to be here? You bet and I am as happy as can be because the next year I his stroke and back again to the Care Center. Thank you God for getting me to Bentley. I have loved every minute of living here, wish I could do all the things offered but there is only so much time in one day. Ann Modzelewski

We moved from Bonita Bay to Bentley Village In 2015. We loved the wonderful senior living life style and made strong friendships. This past summer we returned to our Michigan lake home prepared to sell and live at Bentley full time. We sold and were supposed to move by October 1. On Labor Day , Ric had a stroke with complications. All we could think about was our lovely Bentley condo and our life care contract. I contacted Janet Losi the patient coordinator for our Care Center. She worked with Rics insurance company and arranged a bed for him. When he was able to travel, we hired a private plane. Janet met us at the door with a wheelchair and CNA to whisk him to his room. He spent seven weeks in a lovely private room with so many Covid restrictions. I was allowed to visit one hour a day for compassionate care. We were treated as a patient and care giver not just a number. There is even a Friday afternoon Happy Hour in his room. When he was released Thanksgiving week, he has continued his all important PT three times a week at our condo. His progress is amazing. We didnt pay attention to how valuable it would be to have the Care Center on property, a walk or bike ride away until we needed it. Another valuable asset for our senior life at Bentley.

My husband and I researched the benefits of retirement living and various possible facilities. Bentley Village was our choice because it provided independent living on lovely grounds as well as health care if needed. Don received excellent care, for two years in Assisted Living and four years in the Care Center. I have enjoyed lovely apartments and views as well as wonderful neighbors for seventeen years -- nine in a large apartment with Don and these last eight years downsizing to fit my current needs. I have enjoyed varied activities -- golf, bridge, Renaissance Academy lectures, the Womens Book Club, the Fitness Center plus walking the trails. as well as religious services, etc., etc. Its a warm and welcoming place to live in our advancing years.

TRULY friendly residence staff. Weekly housekeeping, sheets returned ironed! Card room has Duplicate bridge plus other games. I love meeting others at dining joining tables. Varied fun classes offered at our gym. I enjoy our library movie theater. Maintenance for any issues. No charge for golf. Convenient In-house banking. So happy to be here...it was a great move.! No regrets!

We looked at all of the CCRC retirement communities in the Naples area. We found Vi at Bentley Village to have everything we wanted and then some! Almost 150 beautiful acres to ride our bike, walk, and play golf on a wonderful par 3 golf course, There are 3 superb restaurants, a beautiful pool, great fitness center and enough activities to keep you busy the entire day together with many wonderful new friends! We also have given our 5 children the gift of peace knowing that we ourselves have chosen the place where we want to spend the remainder of our senior years.

Three years ago, we moved to Vi at Bentley Village. Best decision! Four days after the move, Bentley relocated everyone to Orlando to ride out Hurricane Irma in safety and comfort. Other senior residences did not. Bentley Village has a lovely 155 acre campus with low-rise buildings and beautiful areas to walk. Resort-style Living with golf and many activities with friendly residents and very attentive employees. Couldnt be happier.

For my wife Pat and myself the hardest part was making the decision to downsize and sell our home in Pelican Landing. Key to our decision to move to Bentley Village was the availability of health care should either or both of us need it in the future. It was an easy adjustment moving to a beautiful campus with many walking paths, all the amenities we were used to enjoying, very friendly neighbors and an especially warm, kind and helpful staff. We changed our address but continue to be involved in worthwhile activities in the greater community of southwest Florida. The staff at Bentley has gone above and beyond in providing care and support during this Pandemic.

My parents lived at Bentley Village for 19 years before my husband and I move there. Over the years, we had witnessed the great way of life my parents were enjoying, but until you actually live at Bentley do you fully understand and appreciate what a unique place it is. There is every service imaginable (even a document shred box at the on campus bank) wellness clinic services that mean you never have to leave the grounds. Doctors of many specialties see Bentley patients on a bi-weekly or monthly basis. The social amenities unparalleled and easy to see on tour, but the unseen services and conveniences make for a smooth lifestyle. The Bentley staff, from the executive offices to the housekeepers are friendly, caring and clearly dedicated to the wellbeing of the residents. Its a lovely place to live.

We moved to Vi at Bentley Village almost two years ago. We love it and are thrilled with our decision. Our favorite activities are golf, walking and line dancing. We are also extremely pleased with the food; the menus are varied and always delicious. The wait staff are excellent and ensure that each resident has a good dining experience. Overall, all the employees are responsive, caring, polite and hard-working. Finally, we have met many wonderful fellow residents, many of whom have become good friends.
