It’s no wonder this community has such high staff turnover and management changes, as the owners care about nothing but the bottom dollar. If the poor caregiving, urine smell, and rundown appearance don’t give you pause, then the financial instability of a company over 7 figures in debt should. All these issues point to poor management, which leads to poor care. This has been an ongoing issue for years. Since they’ve driven off all of the good caregivers and staff that want to help the residents. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. The prices are not worth your loved ones life.

We are so happy with [Name Removed] and the whole group of caretakers that make this OPAL a real Gem. The residents can go outside in their adjoining yards and sit in the sun with the bunnies, birds and flowers anytime. Opal has at least one activity every day (Bingo, Music, pet visits and even a pony visited last week) and they send us pictures of mom enjoying them all the time. It is a blessing to see Ma having fun, her meds are finally regulated correctly and she is showered regularly. I am very happy with the care I see when I visit several times a week unannounced. THANK YOU ALL !!!! The Minks Family <3

This facility has had multiple serious violations from the State of Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA).

This is not the place it once was. I spent many hours at The Opal over the last 2 years while my mom was a resident and I really got an eye full. My mom got scabies 3 times while living in cottage 2. She was continually reinfected. During my frequent visits the cottage reeked like urine, had brown smears on the living room furniture that no one would clean, was just filthy and in disrepair. In my observation there is little to no supervision of caregivers who spend more time on their phones than with the residents. There is constant turnover of staff. In less than 2 years we had 5 Exec. Directors, 5 Directors of Wellness, 4 Marketing , 2 office managers and many, many different caregivers. There is only one activities person and she is split between 4 cottages, so most of the time your loved one is sleeping in front of the TV doing nothing. I wish I would have moved my mom sooner. In my opinion, the staff we experienced forgot that the resident’s quality of life should be the number one focus! I truly hope that this community turns around because the sweet, sweet residents we left behind deserve so much better!

In my 16 years in healthcare the Opal provides fair pricing, a open cottage style lay out in which you won’t find anywhere else, prices that are all inclusive, kind staff that care, dedication, and the more they grow the better it gets. You can’t ask for more when it comes service.

Excellent administrative staff caring caregivers very clean attentive great activities director always call me back or text so appreciate them blessings prayers I moved my husband out of there today deplorable conditions undocumented falls miss management of medications blamed on the pharmacy novo pharmacy Tampa my husband is one of many at Opal memory care soon to be called elite who have received poor treatment discontinued medications and there is no accountability by the RN or administrative staff changing all the time of CNA s I don’t blame them and nothing for the residents to do but sit in the common area and watch tv or no tv or sit in their rooms like my husband alone coloring books etc

We (us kids) feel like we've won the lottery by getting our mom into Opal. Kind, Caring, compassionate staff take care of moms every need. It is a very energetic residence, with lots of daily activities (music, pet therapy, bingo, etc.). Mom loves the outdoors and is free to roam the beautiful courtyards at her desire. the cottages are warm and open. They set up like a real home. We love the Opal for our mother. Thank you to all of you at the Opal.

After careful consideration and months of disappointment with Dad's care with a prior facility located in Naples, I decided to move my Dad into The Opal at North Naples. I am so thankful I did. The staff was very upfront and informative during the onboarding process. I was given the Assistant Directors cell phone number, so if I had any questions or issues during or after hours I could text or call her, enabling us to communicate his transition throughout the day or night if necessary. That is unheard of anywhere else. Yes Margaret, truly responds to me in a timely manner, very reassuring, she truly cares. She checked on Dad and myself everyday for the first week to ensure a successful transition for me and Dad both. Acknowledging how hard and scary it is moving your loved one. The nursing staff is a breath of fresh air, their interaction with me, my family and Dad has been outstanding. The maintenance personnel even came by to introduce herself and did a great job getting his room ready in a short amount of time. The Doctor and Head Nurse met with us move in day to go over his needs and med list, making the transition very pleasant and reassuring. From the day he moved in they all have been tentative to Dad's needs, his mobility and interactions have improved greatly. He has started to participate in the activities which was zero at the previous facility and the smile on his face and the tone of his voice when I visit is proof he is happy. He is always clean and very comfortable, which is a big change from his facility before coming to The Opal. His room and belongings are kept clean on a regular basis, the dining area and shared living space are so beautiful, decorated, well kept and accommodating, we absolutely just love the memory box outside his bedroom door. The activities Director, sends me photo's and texts when Dad participates in pet therapy and other group events, there is something to attend virtually every day, she sends me pictures allowing me to see how well he's doing when I am not able to attend or visit. They allow the residents to go outdoors in a very secure area which has improved my Dad's ability to feel Independent. I absolutely love the smaller cottage style living, perfect for Dad as the previous memory care facility was too large, appeared to look like a hospital, rather than a place of residence and at The Opal he just feels safe, so important for memory care residents and their families. Dad is also walking on his own with his walker again, before he moved to The Opal he was mostly in his wheelchair or sleeping. The staff speaks to him like a person not a patient. I contribute their specialized care to improving his level of depression, in a very short amount of time, as he struggles with depression suffering from Alzheimer's disease. Their secluded yet easily accessible location gives you the feeling of peace. It has been a blessing for Dad and my whole family, that we found The Opal at North Naples. Thank you!

No other community screams comfort and care quite like The Opal at North Naples. The staff there go above and beyond to make sure that your loved ones are safe and happy, especially during times like these. I recommend reaching out to either Gay Hollowell or Mary-Kate Hall, who are the best in the business!!

My husband moved in to Juniper Village of Naples in September of 2018. This facility came highly recommended to me from the local Alzheimers Support Network in Naples for our particular situation. From our initial tour, we knew this was the place for my husband. The small cottage concept keeps things more simple and less chaotic for the residents. The staff from the Executive Director, Nursing Director, to all the caregivers has been extremely caring and compassionate to him as well as myself and the family. It is a comfort to me to know that he is being well cared for and engaged in activities. Also, the staff is very upfront, honest and communicates frequently. I believe we made the right choice for this difficult circumstance.

Placing my mother in a care facility was an extremely difficult decision. After visiting a number of memory care facilities in the area I chose Juniper Village at Naples. I liked their cottage style care units and the patient access to the park like groundsJuniper has been moms home for a number of years now. She has had excellent care from all of the Juniper staff. The caregivers are always so patient. kind, and gentle with the residents. Maria the executive director and her administrative staff are attentive to both patient and family needsIf you need a memory care facility for your loved one I would highly recommend Juniper Village.

We recently moved my mother to Juniper Village Wellspring Memory Care in Naples, FL from assisted living in another state. It had become apparent she needed an additional level of care, so we began our search in preparation for moving her. Juniper immediately stood out because of its cottage-style living concept.Mom has been a resident at Juniper Village for about 3 months now. She has enjoyed being able to freely walk around the peaceful, fenced grounds, and the smaller number of residents per cottage has been less intimidating to her. There are numerous activities designed to engage, and some are even personalized to the residents. This has all helped her to easily adjust to her new surroundings.Interactions with the trained staff and management have been very positive, and we have found all the staff to be welcoming and compassionate. They really seem work as a team and strive to provide the best possible care.We are very happy with the environment Juniper Village provides, would not hesitate to recommend Juniper to anyone evaluating options for memory care in Naples.

Our family is so grateful for the love and care they provided for my mother. We decided to move my mother to Juniper Village at Naples after a stay in a different facility. Although my moms stay was short, the love and care she was given, was as if the staff including hospice, was an extension of her own family. We could not have found a better place for her to spend her last days. The communication and guidance they provided was excellent. As I lived out of state they always made sure I knew what was going on. After mom passed the compassion, hugs, and even laughs they shared with us was so comforting. If you have a love one that needs care, you will not be sorry. Thanks to Maria, Murinda, Gay, Sharon , Brittany, Shane, Sean, Tracy and the countless other loving souls that took care of mother, we cannot thank you enough!!!

My father had been living in a memory care unit in a facility not far from Juniper Village when unfortunately, the needs resulting from his dementia were not able to met by the staff and and as a result, my brother and I had to hire care providers from another agency to come in and provide care for our dad. This, along with the lack of quality care, prompted us to move our dad to Juniper Village and our only regret was that we had not done it sooner! From day one our dad was kept busy and active engaging in helping activities which he loved and the time he spent at Juniper before he passed was the happiest he had been in over a year. In the first few weeks of his stay Maria would send pictures and videos of our dad as both my brother and lived in other sates. I learned so much regarding dementia from Sharron and every time I called to check on my dad my questions were welcomed and I never felt rushed in my conversations. The staff are not only skilled and understand how to work best with those whose dementia result in challenging behaviors such as with our dad, everyone seemed to truly care for each resident and recognized their strengths. Our dad was so fortunate to have such a wonderful experience and to receive such nurturing supportive care before he passed away, we will always be grateful for everyone at Juniper!Janet

The thing that sets Juniper Village at Naples apart from all the other memory care facilities we investigated is the care provided by all levels of the staff. It is well coordinated internally and externally (especially with the family of the resident). The communication is also excellent. It is continuous and thorough. Juniper might not be the fanciest or the newest, but it is the best when it comes to care. It is as if there were one big extended family all caring for the resident.

To begin I would like to say how at peace I am knowing that my Father is in the care of the staff at Juniper Village at Naples. I am not an expert critic of the elderly care facilities but being that this is my second parent resident of several facilities, Juniper Village at Naples is by far the best! What makes a facility the best is the staff. Since day 1 meeting with Maria (Exec Dir), Gay, Maria, Sharon and the attending staff I was set at ease. They are truly interested in the care, and well being of the family members left in their hands. I am so happy that they were able to open the doors and accept my Father into their family. I truly feel that they now are my family also.

They treated my Mom in a loving and respectful manner. I will always be grateful to everyone at Juniper for their understanding and kindness.

I am an RN with almost 40 years of experience working in and providing oversight surveys to many LTC facilities, which included Dementia-Alzheimers care units. That being said, I would say that I have a very critical eye. When dad took a fall, sustained some fractures and needed extended care, I toured several facilities in the area. The moment I walked through the door at Juniper, I felt that this was the right home for my dad. The warmth, welcoming and caring attitude was systemic throughout the facility staff that I met that day. When dad was discharged from Rehab, he struggled just to transfer from the bed to chair and back, his appetite was very poor and he was very lethargic. My siblings and I thought that Hospice care would be needed in the immediate future. Well, dang....thanks to Juniper, we were proved so wrong! Within a week, the staff at Juniper had dad walking with a walker, participating in activities and interacting with others and eating better. And within two weeks, he was walking independently and gaining weight. The staff engage him, encourage him and care for him. They also understand that its not just about the resident, its about their family as well. Its genuinely a difficult decision to seek alternative living arrangements for our parents and to understand some of the behaviors that are associated with Dementia. The staff here gets it and provides support to family members to ease the transition and help them understand the progression of the disease. Dad is not only doing well here, he is thriving! They say first impressions make lasting impressions....Juniper and every one of their staff members have continued to prove this to be true.

My 56 year old brother moved to Juniper Village in September 2018. It was perhaps the most difficult decision my family has had to make. From top to bottom, the staff at Juniper has bent over backwards to make this difficult transition as smooth as possible. It is obvious the staff really care about the residents and they are more than just a patient. They carefully and methodically adjusted his medication so that he is more comfortable. They have a great variety of activities for residents to participate in. They support the family as well as the resident. Communication is excellent. Special thanks to his caregiver Shirley who my brother adores!

My mother-in-law has been a resident at Juniper Village for the last few years and I have visited this facility hundreds of times at all different hours of the day, never once having any complaint about the quality of the care being given. My wife and I checked out several Adult Care facilities in Naples before choosing Juniper, none of the other places came close to having as many stimulating activities for their residentsI had the pleasure of accompanying a group of residents to the Naples Botanical Gardens, everyone who participated in this event enjoyed it very much. The saddest part of our lives is seeing our loved ones fade away... Alzheimers is a disease that takes away the very essence of intimacy between two people. To find someone who can relate to your loss is rare, much less truly understand what it is like to lose a loved one. Maria Ciocca is just such a person. As Director of Juniper Village she is one of those rare people that will hold your hand with strength to walk you through this most difficult time..May I strongly suggest you speak with Maria about your loved one, when you feel you must...
