Very nice and clean.I was concerned that Diane has no way to communicate to any staff from her room. She told us that she has to yell for attention. Besides that problem your facility is lovely.

Tuesday, 1 November 2022 was a pleasant visit at Certus In Mt. Dora. The facility had been freshly cleaned inside and outside. The staff has always been pleasant even though there is still a shortage of health aides for this special population.

BEAUTIFUL facility with caregivers who REALLY care about the residents. Rooms are spacious, and activity director, Theda, is EXCELLENT. My dad was so unhappy at home - refused to bathe, get dressed, eat, and was so depressed. He is a changed man - bathing, shaving, getting dressed, and participating in activities! We are so pleased with the care he is receiving. Thank you, Certus!

Our family is so fortunate to have found Certus to help us through our incredibly difficult journey. Not only is the beautiful welcoming physical facility built to enhance the lives of the residents, but at its heart are the employees. Everyone from the concierge to the CNAs to the kitchen staff and the custodians to the nurses and the directors have all been well trained in dealing with the special needs of residents who have dementia. They work tirelessly to give them purpose filled lives as well as giving support to the families. The care speaks for itself when my husband calls Certus "home" and would rather be there than anywhere.

A caring and lovely place for those going through the journey of dementia or memory care. Theda and Josh have been very special in the life of my father as he, and the family, deal with his passage. Truly a place where there is every attempt to create positive moments.

This facility is smoke and mirrors. They market complete care. Located behind a bar in Mt.Dora they charge 6,000 a month for a hotel sized room this does not include cable tv in rooms that's extra you must pay for also if you need incontinence pads,briefs etc...that's extra you must pay for also and deliver. Laundry may be done by cna if they have time but just thrown in washer and not separated properly and have already ruined a couple residents clothes with a pen left in clothes staining all with ink and more because dryer never cleaned. They market a Mediterranean meal plan based on low instance of memory issues in Mediterranean populations but fail to mention this is based on people who have had this diet all there lives not your mom or dad who grew up in Ohio and ate meat and potatoes all their lives and while maybe healthy of little benefit now and if they don't like it there alternative is usually a dry turkey sandwich. Engagement is a joke they make a nurse and aide along all other duties sit and hold a group about a subject they residents don't care about from a folder the "Engagement Director" tossed to them while she attends yet another meeting about marketing or sits and looks at her computer the rest of the time. It is a waste of time and money if you don't believe ask them if you can come at 7am and observe before placing your loved one at a no frills 6,000/month and you'll be quickly unimpressed.
