My wife and I recently toured The Barrington while looking for the right senior living community for my parents, and we came away with a great impression. From the moment we arrived, everyone was welcoming, professional, and genuinely caring. The community is beautiful, clean, and well maintained, but what stood out most was the warm atmosphere and the way the staff interacted with the residents. It felt like a place where people are truly valued and cared for. They took the time to answer all of our questions without making us feel pressured, which made the experience even better. Choosing a senior living community is a big decision, and our visit to The Barrington gave us confidence that it’s a place where our loved ones could feel comfortable, safe, and at home. I would definitely recommend taking a tour if you’re considering senior living for a family member.

June '26 Update: It's been a journey (!), but thanks to the help of Benjamin, Donna and team, we've successfully transitioned our brother/sister-in-law over to their beautiful 2-bedroom unit at the Barrington. The entire staff has been super supportive under trying circumstances. My husband has also been enjoying the excellent food and home cooking while helping them transition. The residence has a family atmosphere, where people take care of each other. The head of nursing instilled confidence from her many years of experience. Well done and thank you! Earler: We want to give many thanks to Donna and the team at The Barrington as we help our sister and brother-in-law navigate a transition from their home to Independent Living. We visited four senior living residences in the area and the we thought The Barrington's spacious two-bedroom apartment, in combination with other amenities, was the best value. After visiting The Barrington three times, we also got a sense of the cleanliness of the facility and friendly, supportive culture. Our sister has early stages of dementia and the family is working with her regarding the timing of her transition to a more supportive environment, but The Barrington would be our first choice.

I recently toured The Barrington community with my parents, and I was genuinely impressed. Special touches are the norm here. Benjamin greeted us with such warmth the moment we walked in and readily acknowledged lots of important details about my parents including their priorities for moving, based on pre-tour emails and phone calls. He was very generous with his time and attention, every step of the way. Every resident we encountered seemed relaxed but lively, engaged, and truly at home. All the spaces around the building, including the apartments, were bright, thoughtfully designed, and surprisingly spacious. What stood out most was the sense of community”people were chatting in common areas, enthusiastically participating in activities, and clearly enjoying themselves. This is a place where independence is respected, yet support is always close by. I left feeling confident and at ease, as did my parents, Barrington’s newest prospective residents!

My mom has been here going on 3 yrs now. She absolutely loves her room, the activities provided to all residents, the medical staff on duty 24/7, field trips now and then, hair cuts and nails are also provided (at a cost) and the food is fantastic with many choices if not interested in the offered days menu. The Chef and staff are very friendly serving you. I would highly recommend the Barrington for what is offered. They also run errands to the grocery for the elderly that can't make it there themselves. The Barrington staff also gets a high five for their involvement.

My grandma currently lives at The Barrington. Overall our experience has been very positive. Moving a loved one into assisted living is never easy, but the staff here really helped make the transition smoother for both her and our family. From the beginning, the team has been kind, patient, and genuinely caring. They take the time to get to know the residents, and it shows in how they interact with my grandma every day. It gives us a lot of peace of mind knowing she’s in a place where people actually pay attention and treat her with respect. She really enjoys the social side of things. Though it has been a rough 6 months for our family , mom has been settling in .I visit every day so I get to see a lot more than most of the staff . Her nurses are amazing and wonderful with her . The food is great and the staff is attentive , sweet and respectful. Irina visits our table every night to check in on how we are doing . She makes sure we are getting whatever help my mom needs . The girls at the desk are always so nice and helping everyone . Even the beginning stages with Vanessa and Ryan were amazing .

Update- my parents have been there for over a year & I’ve been very pleased even with the passing of my dad in July. Felicia was his (our) sunshine while he was passing in those days. There were other staff members who helped a long the way. I have also observed the dining room staff - Jay stands out along with Renee plus the other staff members truly care about the residents. The best I’ve seen in any other assisted living facilities. Thank you. I just moved my parents into The Barrington. I truly believe we have found a hidden gem. Jessica (Ex Dir), Ali (Marketing), Karen (Nurse Dir) started the whole process with much comfort and ease. The staff, Brian (Maint. Mgr), Lu and Belinda (nurses, techs) has proven what they offer and has given me much comfort with their first night there and today. Their upbeat attitude and the genuine kindness making sure they are taken care of is priceless. They are definitely on top of it, and I highly recommend this place.

Greetings All, My family just recently lost my Mom. She was a resident at The Barrington for nine months. My mom has a lot of history with the Barrington. Thirteen years ago, she helped her dear friend get into The Barrington. When it came to my Mom needing assisted living she had her mind made up on where she wanted to go after losing her husband of 45 years. First & Foremost Ryan I cannot Thank You enough Brother for helping get my Mom residence here at The Barrington. You Sir are as Genuine as they come, God Bless & Thank You Ryan. I have been working with the team at The Barrington for three weeks and have met the most dedicated and professional staff and some of the nicest residents. They have so much fun! Last week the Red Hat group put on a lemonade stand with homemade cakes, pies and cookies! They have a different destination trip of sorts featuring a different country every month. This month is Greece and the residents are exploring the history and culture, hearing the traditional music and enjoying delicious food and beverages during their virtual cruise! This community is a must see for anyone looking for exceptional senior living!

In beautiful Largo, Florida I found a site that would be great for people that are seeking a perfect place to settle down in. Here are some of the perks that I discovered. Three top of the line meals each day. Well trained Aides that are thoughtful, caring, and pleasant. They make sure that your needs are met. The apartments are cleaned once a week along with the bed linens changed. Weekly laundry service is done for you. There are many activities for daily pressures. The office staff and front deck attendants are trained to meet your visitors. When visitors come, they can see the surrounding areas are bright and spotless clean There is not much more I can add, expect, come see for yourself. You will be welcomed with a smile. We are looking forward to meeting you.

Last year my cousin was in really bad health and decided to sell her condo in Largo and move to the Barrington. At first she was under the supervised care and she absolutely flourished. Her health improved and soon she was able to move to a larger unsupervised unit. The place was just perfect and she loved it. She attended exercise classes and most everything else available that the Barrington had to offer. Unfortunately she suffered a bad stroke a couple of weeks ago and went to the hospital and then on to hospice. The Barrington could not have been more accomodating to us during this stressful time. Anyone looking for an assisted living facility should definately check out this place. After spending several days there as we cleaned out her place, I can honestly say that I could live there comfortably.

My Dad was been here for several years. He started out in Independent living, and recently moved to assisted living The staff was extraordinary in their helpfulness and assistance when the need for Assisted Living came. They really made the transition quick and painless. Dad especially enjoys the food and activities. Dad really enjoys his apartment and always feels cared for and loved. The Barrington is a beautiful assisted living facility for seniors and includes wonderful management and staff. During my mother's stay there everyone was so helpful and pleasant and cheerful. On multiple occasions they went above and beyond to help. It seemed that nothing was too much to ask. The dining room is more akin to a fine restaurant and the grounds are landscaped beautifully. My mother's apartment had a balcony overlooking a gorgeous courtyard. The costs were very reasonable.

Residents complained often about poor service from the management team and few felt completely ignored at times because their request were not always carried out and complaints were ignored sometimes, several stated. Although, the residents are very friendly and kind, making a great community. I personally wouldn't place my grandparents here even though they both are independents, I wouldn't want them having any problems with getting the littlest of tasks completed by the staff.
