What a great experience with knowledgeable people. I called recently for my grandmother who was in need of assisted living. Laura was so very helpful and guided me through the difficult process. My grandmother is in a nursing home with limited income. Laura was kind enough to guide me through the process of Medicaid and how that works, knowing that she couldn't afford assisted living at this point. I am so thankful to Laura for giving me so many options when she didn't have to. She was very helpful. If you are looking for a place that truly cares, then this is the place to call. Laura told me to call her if I had any questions or needed any resources and I believe she meant it. Thank you for your time.

After my mother had to go into the hospital, I realized how difficult a time that she and my dad had with their everyday tasks, which included caring for my brother with Down Syndrome and dementia. I found Savannah Court, for my parents and Savannah Cottage (a memory care facility) for my brother. My parents rave about the food at Savannah Court, as well as the friendly, helpful staff. I personally was helped with this transition by Jenn Brown, who made every decision easier. I am so happy that my parents move to Savannah Court has turned out so well.

I assist veterans and surviving spouses with applying for a VA benefit that helps pay for assisted living. I have a number of clients who reside at Savannah Court of Lakeland. So far, I have received nothing but positive comments that confirm my own favorable impression I have of the community from having visited. Executive Direction Angie and Community Liaison Melanie are great to work with and very dedicated to making sure families and residents have a pleasant experience.

Savannah Court is a really nice place. They have alot of studio apts. If that is what you looking for. My son toured the place along with taking a tour of assisted living places nearer to where he lives. Cecile came to see me where I am at the moment (a rehabilitation facility) with pictures, brochures etc. I decided to move closer to where my son lives and not stay in Lakeland otherwise I would have moved in to Savannah court. I suggest you go and meet Cecile and take a tour.

Unfortunately several members of my family have been diagnosed with either ALZ or dementia over the last 10 years. As a result Ive become familiar with with a large number of both ALFs and Memory Care Facilities in Polk County. During my crash course experience, I made use of the Elder Guide. It provided a good base of information. Since then Ive added a few requirements of my own, whenever I enter a facility. When you tour a facility pay no attention to the chandeliers or other amenities. They only matter in your run of the mill senior living facilities -- where your loved one is still independent.Once care is required you need to pay attention to the residents and staff during your tour. This business of caring for adults that are no capable of using reasonable judgement is an exhausting task. Dont kid yourself, this is very hard work that requires that staff stay on their toes and on guard at all times. That said, BOTH Savannah Court and Savannah Cottage are fabulous. Does the staff appear happy and content? If not, realize that as much as YOU may like the place, once you leave ... your loved one picks up on that atmosphere. They are often not able to communicate that to you. Instead, their health declines more rapidly than you expected and they begin to act out. Does the director spend more time in their office than out and about? Does the director know the residents names? These are the things you should pay attention to. Dont allow things that look good in appearance distract you. Those things no longer matter. In this sad, last stage of life our focus is on the quality of life. Find a facility where they will feel loved and safe. This is Savannah Court.

Its been several years but my Dad lived here for a while. It was always well run, he really enjoyed the food and the staff was really pleasant. Id highly recommend for someone looking for an assisted living facility with a family like atmosphere.
