My sister and I recently moved our father into Lake Gibson Village. A lot has been said here about the staff and with good reason, but the building and grounds are something that must be seen to appreciate. It sits on a very large lot with trees and empty spaces right on the shore of a lake. It was built in 1929 and the architecture is of a grand Style. We were looking for a place that wouldn't feel like an institution and boy did we find it. The inside looks and feels more like a grand hotel of the old school. And the staff completes that picture, everyone at Lake Gibson is truly dedicated to the residents and giving them the best care possible. It shows in everything they do. I cannot tell you how fortunate we are to have moved our father into Lake Gibson

Just a few words about Lake Gibson Village Memory Care. This has been my mother's new home for almost 2 years. My aunt and I had exhausted all efforts to care for her. This place has been a saving grace. Especially since Ashley Martinez became director of memory care. The care. The staff she has put together. The hard work. The love. Never dreamed this hard choice would become the perfect choice. Whenever we visit mom is content in her environment. There is so much joy and love and laughter in this place caring for people in a horrible circumstance. I sleep well at night knowing my mom is loved and cared for. I would highly recommend this amazing place and staff if you find yourself in this sad situation.

From the moment I first entered Lake Gibson Village to visit a friend, I knew when the time came to find a place for my parents, there could be no better home. The staff is competent and friendly and each member goes above and beyond to meet the needs of the residents. It is more than evident that these people consider LGV not just a place to put in their time and collect a paycheck--the residents are family to them, and they care for them in just that way. The apartments, facilities and food are all top quality, and there are a number of daily activities and special events available for those who wish to remain active. Lake Gibson Village is a simply fantastic next step. I will always be grateful for this season when it has befcome my parents' "new home."

While looking at several communities, I knew walking into Lake Gibson Village that this would be a good fit for my client. Then after meeting with Laura and seeing the available unit, walking the grounds and meeting the rest of the staff I was sure that this was the right fit for her. Everyone is extremely professional, eager to help and willing with a smile to make sure every need is met. Even though the move has brought some challenges for my client, I can say that after being here 5 weeks she is now participating in activities, going to eat meals in the dining room and making new friends. In her own words she said " this is the best place for me and I'm very happy here."

My mom in law is there. Every time I am there, I see ALL the residents with smiles. Talking with them, they all love living there. I never hear complaining, always something going on to keep busy. The grounds are beautiful and easy accessable to all. The residents don't have to rehome their beloved pet. They are welcome as well and get so much attention. The staff is amazing. Helpful, kind and caring. I have chosen where I will be staying when I can no longer care for myself.

My sister and I had a lot of questions for LGV before we moved our mother in. Even my mother had trepidation until we showed her the unit's floorplan and activity calendar. She was thrilled enough to move up her move in date two weeks. She enjoys living there, loves the food and the staff, and has made many friends while keeping her independence. Our family appreciates the staff members too; they are personable and caring, professional and efficient, always keeping focus on the resident's safety, health and comfort. It's one big family! Families that have doubts about moving their loved ones in should consider doing your due diligence. Be prepared and ask hard questions, this is the place where your parent (s) may spend the rest of their lives. Our meetings with Grace and Laura were productive and they gave us all the information we needed to make the decision to move Mother in. The LGV building is beautifully restored, well maintained, and the units have well equipped safety features. We couldn't have chosen a better place. There are no words to describe our gratitude and appreciation to the LGV staff. They are all precious to us.

People are nice, food is good, good variety. It's a safe community, with lots of activities. You are free to participate in any activities, and create your own routine. Apartment size is great, just perfect! Maintenance do an excellent job in helping out with all requests.

My mom has been at Lake Gibson Village the second stay, for 9 days, each time. Everyone we have come in contact with, has been nice. The employees, do care, and it does shows, by their actions and helpfulness. If my mother needs to stay full-time, this would be the place for her. We are very lucky to find LGV, and appreciate all they do, for people who works here. It's very clean and food is good. The desserts are too good! Hello nurse Amy, we love you! Don't look at any other facility or you will lose your money. It's a clean facility with wonderful people. They have a heated pool, excellent food and lots of activities. All the staff is super helpful. You can play wii, bingo, golf and they have a boat.

I recently flew in from CT and spent 3 nights in their Guest Suite while visiting my brother. He just moved in a couple of weeks ago. LGV is by far the nicest Assited Living Facility I have been in and I've been in quite a few. The grounds and inside of the building are very well maintained and clean. They treat my brother with the utmost respect as well as me while I was visiting. The food is excellent. My favorite thing is the activities they offer their residents. There is something for everyone. And they allow visitors to partake in the activities. My brother and I had a wonderful time dancing with the Lakeland Singer and Dancers one afternoon. So much fun! Your family member will be happy and well taken care of at LGV.

We chose Lake Gibson Village for my grandmother because of the responsiveness and friendliness of the staff and the beautiful private apartments. Well, I will say this your expectations of what a Senior Living Facility is will change once you visit Lake Gibson Village .... For the Better! Leadership starts at the top.... If executed properly you will see it all the way through the bottom. Laura T. Treated us like family and helped me every step of the way. That is exactly what I needed. I came into town with limited time and needed to get my dads life issues health, finance, and living sorted out and before I had to leave town again. Laura went above and beyond with aiding from the first tour to the the move in and after. I spoke to other residents as well they told me first hand this is a class A place and the are very happy they came. I can rest at night knowing my someone has my dads back. The facilities are clean modern in Landmarked Building on a Sprawling estate on the Lake and the staff are nice and helpful and cheerful. Makes this a no brainer Solid choice.

They host several events a month, they are open to networking with local professionals (resources for their residents), and their hospitality is beyond measure. I appreciate their restaurant style dining, and their food is extremely tasty. Their staff is always super helpful and and friendly. Laura Tenpenny is the person we met with first and she is so wonderful. She knows every resident by name and keeps up with their interests. She is a delight. Then there are the receptionists including Sherry, Jennifer. Near the end when my mom was having issues I was calling them almost every day and they were all always so patient and kind. The nursing staff there is phenomenal. Laura and Daisy watched over my mom and made sure that everyone took care of her when she started having major issues near the end of her stay. I cant even name all the names of the people that helped out with my mom near the end before she had to move but I will always be grateful to them. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to live in a beautiful place, eat delicious meals, have a lot of activities and entertainment whether they are able to come and go as they like or if they need more care. This is the place to be in Lakeland!

I have only praise for this facility, where my elderly parents lived for 6 months. The caregivers are diligent and kind, the front desk staff are enthusiastic and responsible, and management is responsive.Cudos to Laura Tempany, who arranged my parents arrival; to Daysy Valdez and Laura, the wonderful nurses who took great care of the parents; to the engineering crew, always ready to help with technology or hanging pictures; and to Renee Tucker, the CEO and interior designer, who has a lovely demeanor and a caring soul.Thanks to Jennifer and Sherry at the front desk for all their help in arranging transportation and helping with technology.Sadly, my mother passed away after a brief (non-Covid) illness in June, and we moved my father into long term skilled nursing care out of state to be closer to family. Everyone at LGV was compassionate and kind to my father as he went through the event and its aftermath.Renee and the nurses and wonderful aides helped my father cope in this terrible time. Our family will forever be grateful.Lake Gibson Village is a wonderful place for your loved ones. I recommend it without reservation.

My sisters and I recently moved our parents to Lake Gibson Village, pandemic and all. I was referred to Caron Radachy, Senior Living Specialist, through A Place for Mom and she instantly was so very helpful and a great source of information. Through the next year, she was in constant contact with me, answering any questions (some more than once), sending brochures, scheduling in person visits and tours, and a plethora of emails and phone calls. When we finally convinced our parents that this was the right place to move to, she continued with reassuring phone calls to myself and my parents with still more questions. She is a great resource and a superb face for Lake Gibson Village. My parents have been there just over a week, patiently waited for their quarantine period to end, and are beginning to experience some of the benefits of living there. While this is a major change in their lives and moving to a new area of the state, we feel this will be the best place for them to enjoy their golden years. Caron is a very professional, caring, and knowledgeable member of the team and she made the transition and experience as easy as possible. Thank you Caron!
