My 90 year old mom was released from the hospital and was supposed to go to a skilled nursing facility but at the last minute they had a Covid outbreak and she couldn't go there. We had no choice but to bring her to my house, but she needed 24 hour care. Someone at the hospital suggested calling Assisting Hands and I am glad I did. They had someone at the house within four hours and we were so happy with the care she received from Assisting Hands that we were able to keep her with us for five months. We had five or six different caregivers and they were all great. I really appreciated their flexibility in scheduling based on our needs. They definitely earned a five star rating

The Assisting Hands people were all so very kind, courteous and helpful. Every time I contacted Audra she would immediately get back to me and give me any updated reports which she was constantly on top of. All the caregivers that were assigned to take care of my dad did an amazing job. They were very easy to talk with, very concerned, dedicated and caring, you can't ask more than that! The caregivers provided are simply wonderful. We have been with Assisting Hands for over a year with regular providers, however from time to time fill ins have been needed and they are just as great. Caring for someone with numerous disease processes and sensory deficits is a challenge that the providers meet well. The daily routine of making his meal, shower or wash up, dressing including a compression sock and wrap are done with warmhearted understanding. They even have conversations with kindness when the stories are repeated several times. The aides are professional, courteous, engaging, knowledgeable and compassionate. I am thankful for their assistance. They have become part of the family.

Last year, my husband and I researched home health companies to prepare for the years when we might need to have home health care. The first telephone call yielded a conversation with one of the owners who was very knowledgeable of the health care business and represented the financial department of Assisting Hands. I was invited to ask all questions I had, and a registration meeting was set; Amanda Johnson, RN met with us and completed an interview to learn about our needs, and we set an appointment for a home health caretaker to visit us for 4 hours. We were very pleased with the compassion, the high level of training, and the integrity of this caretaker. We knew through this connection with Assisting Hands that we could trust care from this company! As the time came when we needed to obtain assistance on a more regular schedule, we once again turned to Assisting Hands for care in our home. After looking around, we contracted with Assisting Hands Home Care for my husband who has Dementia and I could not be more pleased. His CareGiver comes 2 days a week and he looks forward to the time he spends with her. She manages to keep him up on the local news as they review the newspaper, spices their day with calisthenics, always heads out for a nice walk and sparks his memory with puzzles and a "hard fought" came of Go Fish. He stays busy, entertained and happy.

We reached out to this company after reviewing several other companies reviews. They were also recommended by the facility that my father is in even though in a facility, you have care, we wanted an extended level of care that Assisting Hands provided us with. I am in this industry, I know when a company has good people. The people they have provided us have been amazing. We are utilizing their services in the over night Capacity for my father who needs 24 hour assistance. They have been amazing. The employees they have provided us have been amazing. Assisting hands continues to amazing, and terrific at matching caregivers to a particular clients needs. So many times we've had last minute "needs" and their admins are also so eager to help. Responses are amazingly rapid and professional. The "can do" attitude is so reassuring to families like mine, and each of our caregivers truly CARE about my Mom. They love her and are as concerned about her mood and wellbeing as they are about her safety and careful navigation. We recently needed someone to assist her direly on a holiday, the HARDEST time to find a caregiver to help. Well TWO on her team were willing to help, we only needed one. Rest assured this company's owner, staff, and caregivers care deeply and are accessible and engaged. We are so blessed to have them on our Mom's care team! Here is my former rating from two years ago, and yes we are still grateful for everyone at Assisting Hands! "Assisting Hands" has worked diligently to secure caregivers who drive my Mom fir outings. During this Covid era, it's more difficult to find well-matched vetted caregivers who are willing to work shorter shifts (especially weekend). It's even harder to find last-minute replacements when those assigned caregivers are periodically unable to work their shifts (illness, family illness, etc) Pam, Audra and Amber at Assisting Hands have been able to quickly evaluate replacements, make many calls and assign a substitute. We are so grateful for their capability and positive attitude; same for their team members and the owner! Assisting Hands (AH) was highly recommended to us by two professionals in the Senior Care field. AH admins do care, and they work very hard to match their clients with helpers who are well suited for the specific case and needs. My mom says she is very lucky and loves them all.

My Aunt Ellen has been a client/customer of Assisting Hands Home Care (AHHC) for 18 months. Knowing we can count on Assisting Hands for additional care has allowed Ellen to live with more autonomy and safety than her current ALF provides. The Assisting Hands administrative staff works hard to match the client and caregiver via temperament, likes and dislikes, shared hobbies, etc. I have been particularly impressed by the devotion and consideration my aunt receives from her AHHC team. As Ellen has needed extra help (during a recent unplanned hospital visit and important follow-up appointments) AHHC staff has gone above-and-beyond assuring my aunt's well-being, adjusting work schedules and documenting all the goings-on.
