Water here is an issue. To start, it has a yellow tinge to it. I don't care how many times people say it's safe I'm not drinking yellow water. Then, a pipe is always bursting somewhere in the park and they turn our water off. Boil water orders sometimes last for days. LToday's episode it's been going on for about six or seven hours. I am not hopeful it will be back on before tomorrow. So where do I go to the toilet once I've used up my two flushes of water? I will say the landscaping is very well-maintained and the two maintenance men are super. While, the office ladies are nice when you're there face-to-face, they never pick up the phone and never return a voicemail. Annually the fees here significantly go up. The gates work poorly. I know some residents are running a daycare out of their home. I see people of all ages living here, not just 55+. It's not the worst place to live, but there's lots of room for improvement.

Very difficult for residents and visitors to gain entry. There entry/gate system doesn't work very well. Even the rubbish company has a hard time getting in. I only hope that the emergency services can gain access. But there sure are a lot of people coming in that???

Wonderful park a lot of amenities well maintained. Friendly. My in-laws (hubby's parents) lived there for years. We're buying the mobile we want to spend the rest of our time and waiting for the Park application approval. Praying for approval cause this Park is safe clean and beautiful.

Six Percent (6%) lot rent increase in a year when inflation is less than two percent. This company throws around words like Market Rate to justify increasing rents way beyond anything that can be justified. One sales manager says they attempt to raise lots rents five to ten percent each year. At six percent, that means they double every ten years. At ten percent they double every seven years. Is your income rising five to ten percent each year? Of course not. This is not sustainable. Also Equity Lifestyle responds to everything VERY SLOWLY! And, what they tell you and what they are willing to put in writing are two very different things. Having your property parked on their land when they can raise your rent each year is a terrible idea. Just don't do it.

I own a home here. What really annoys me is every year the lot rent increases. People on fixed incomes try to survive here and, unfortunately, have to sell and move away because of the greed of the company that owns the property. It's not like you can just pick up your home and move it to another location. The water is filtered well water in the development and at least 2x a month there is an emergency and a water main breaks- resulting in the need to turn off water to the community and boil it days afterward before it is safe to drink again. Edited Sept 2021: Received another notice that the lot rent is increasing again. Now it's over $1000 /month.

High lot fees 1000$ .... rising every year unfairly for the old people leaving ther Entry gate its damaged since almost 2 years. Poorly equipped Gym. Intercom not working properly. Not updated in a long time. Manager lady there - Rude and unwelcoming attitude.

visited some special family here, nice 55+ community. the neighbor was really sweet and had a nice garage met some community members who were really outgoing, friendly and pleasant. enjoyed some music, enjoyed some conversations. got a few side eyes and jaw japing underneath their breath from some of the women lol (insecurities of their own I guess, or they were upset that someone under 55 was in "their" community. idk. it did not bother me. but clean, pleasant, quiet! however, the men were a little creepy. not all, but too many for us. we did meet some charming men with their wives as well.

My very dear friend resides here in Maralago Cay. The place is lovely with a mix of beautiful new homes and homes from the 70's or 80's. For the most part, residents are friendly. The only negative is the gate system, which is OLD and flawed. Guess it comes down to individual residents that may refuse to let you go thru the gate as they feel empowered to police guest entries.. twice after being buzzed in an older gentleman parked in front of the gate and REFUSED to let me in.

Lots of nice trailers in a quiet community. The only issue is the ridiculously high lot rent at $1000 which goes up every year. Trailers are cheap because no one wants to pay the 1k. You can get a good trailer for 6k to 20k here. The lot is the deal breaker. You can even rent a nice trailer for 1100 so basically minus the lot your paying 100 for rent. Go figure.
