My mom stayed at this community for a couple of months while my dad was in rehab, and we couldn't have been happier with the care she received. From the moment you walk through the doors, the community is beautiful, clean, and feels more like a resort than an assisted living facility. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always pleasant. Everyone went out of their way to make my mom feel comfortable and included. There were plenty of activities to keep her engaged, and she especially enjoyed the chair yoga classes. She also looked forward to every meal and always said the food was delicious. The nursing staff was exceptional. They were kind, attentive, and always on time with her medications and care, which gave our family great peace of mind. We are so grateful for the wonderful experience my mom had during her stay. I would highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a clean, caring, and engaging place for a loved one.

I would like to thank Grand Living for the tremendous, good work they have done for Mom. I need to point out the 'above and beyond' work that Drew D. and Kayla S. have done for my family. My Mom has been going through some rapid changes over the past 6 months: Independent Living at Home, to Independent at Grand Living, to now Assisted at Grand Living. Drew and Kayla's ability to quickly pivot and help me realize these changes have made all the difference. Moving my independent, stubborn 80 year old mother into assisted living was difficult for her and us. However the entire staff at Grand Living has been AWESOME. Carol in sales was very kind and formed a great relationship w mom. Kayla has been a wonderful go to with any concerns we have. John is truly great any problems in moms room he is there to fix it. The health and wellness staff very attentive and compassionate to moms needs. Moms care staff Brittany and Artesha (aka Molly and Polly) are truly delightful with mom. ` Really from the moment you walk in the building and are greeted by Debbie, Shay or Jerry it is a caring and friendly environment. Grand Living at Lake Mary has been a true blessing for our family. My mom was very anxious about moving into a community, especially with her memory challenges but the team here, especially Kayla, our concierge, made the transition so much easier. Kayla is incredible: warm, patient, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile. She handles every interaction with professionalism and warmth, and ensures that even the smallest details are taken care of like making sure my mom had a buddy when she first moved in or friends at meals. The staff overall demonstrate the same level of care and dedication. They know residents by name, are responsive to needs, and create an environment where people feel truly valued and supported. Dining has been a highlight as well, with meals that are well-prepared, nicely presented, and enjoyed in a restaurant quality setting. The community itself is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, and continually being updated but what truly stands out is the vibrancy of daily life. There is an impressive variety of activities”fitness, music, a library, social events, crafts, outings, a movie theater and so much more”giving my mom countless opportunities to stay engaged and connected. My mom has found things she genuinely enjoys, which has been wonderful to see. She plays cards, takes aquafit classes in the pool, loves walking around the community, attends happy hour live music events, bingo and more. Mom feels like she’s living on a cruise ship. Great food, good friends and tons to do. I’m deeply grateful for the kindness, professionalism, and heartfelt community at Grand Living. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to any family looking for a warm, supportive, and enriching Independent Living community.

Grand Living, Independent Living, has been amazing for my mom! She reluctantly moved in last winter, for a snowbird 3 month visit and decided to stay! The staff is wonderful. When she first moved in, Kayla and Tamara made sure she met people, helped schedule medical appointments, etc. They were/are extremely responsive if she needs help with anything or if I have any questions. The physical therapy she does right on site, has been incredible. At age 84, we didn’t expect her physical abilities to improve- and they have! She absolutely loves all the activities and outings! My mom is a very social person and she is so much happier having daily activities to look forward to. Bingo, weekly shows, holiday events, happy hour, exercise classes, socializing at the pool- she loves it all! My sister and I thought she would like it, but Grand Living has truly exceeded all our expectations!

Beautiful facility but the true value of this community is the staff. I got to know many of them on a first name basis after moving my father in. They were regularly available to tell me about the progress my father was making, or to check in on him in person, or just help resolve wrinkles and improve his day to day experience. While all the staff I interacted with, including their professional contractors for health aids (Antonio S from Synergy HomeCare- THANK YOU!), physicians, and other support staff, were truly incredible and caring, I would be remiss if I did not especially call out Kayla S for specific praise and gratitude. Kayla provided a level of care above and beyond what I could have ever expected for my father from anyone, and I mean from daily check ins and hellos to connecting us with resources and services he needed that were beyond the scope of her general duties, but so greatly helpful. Why did she do it? As she once told me, "I have 300 grandparents in this building." And you can bet your bottom dollar she is going to love each of them to the best of her ability. She made it happen when we needed help. So glad we had dad staying in Grand Living Park at Lake Mary.

We made the difficult decision (that many people face) to move our beloved family member into a memory care facility. We looked at many different places in our area and settled on Grand Living. She has been there a week and is adjusting very well. While the building and rooms are beautiful, the biggest plus is the STAFF. Every one of them says hello and smiles when they pass. They are very attentive and go out of their way to help. I cannot recommend this amazing community enough. They are truly a place filled with caring people that will treat your loved one like they were a family member. Thank you to all the hard working staff at Grand Living.

Grand Living hosted a luncheon for Heathrow Women's Club last week. I am always treated respectfully and greeted by the front desk. The facility is clean and trendy. The staff couldn't have been nicer and definitely attentive. We had a plated lunch with a dessert demonstration. The chicken was moist and flavorful and I loved the brussel sprouts & sweet potato. The lemon tart with fresh berries was to die for! Several friends live here and rave about the many activities as well as the good food.

My mother was at the assisted living building at Oakmonte, which is now Grand Living, for seven wonderful years. We are so happy that Grand Living kept the exceptional Director, Rachael Guernsey, who is unparalleled in her field. We have never had an issue Rachael couldn't address in a positive manner in a short period of time. The facility is clean, the staff is wonderful, and they are very responsive. Grand Living Park at Lake Mary f/k/a Oakmonte Village was my uncle’s home for the past 8 years and my mother-in-law’s home for the past 4 years. My uncle actually moved from Atlanta to reside near family here and this was where they chose for him to live. Now my parents have just moved in two weeks ago. In my line of work for 30 years here in Central Florida I visited almost every adult facility there is and you can see where we have chosen for our family members to live. Much of the staff such as Octavia (excellent staff member) who is the restaurant manager are long term employees which speaks very highly of this establishment. Actions speak louder than words here. What more can I say. By the way, the building is spotless and access to the nicest trail in Central Florida is a bonus.

It’s a tough decision, to choose to send your loved one to a long-term memory care facility. But it’s a necessary one if you fear for their safety. My experience has been with approximately six different facilities within the Central Florida area, each at a different phase of my Mom's disease progression. (She has Parkinson's with Dementia) It is a difficult road to navigate... After much frustration and several moves, we opted to join the Oakmonte Village community, specifically Siena Memory Care. (although she also had a brief stay at Cardova during the Hurricanes a few years ago) The all-around package is clear... no hidden fees, no hidden upgrades just straight forth care/communication. The Executive Director, Heather Schlichenmaier, has been forthright in every step of my Mother's care and she has done so with grace yet still providing dignity for my Mom as well as compassion towards me. She is always readily available to communicate my needs and assist as necessary. She is very hands-on and know her residents which I highly respect. The on-site LPN, Tiffany, is a pleasure to lean on. She offers kindness in her care/approach and often works through situations hands-on with my Mom to help her team provide the very best care forward. I cannot tell you how important those two roles are in a community because they dictate how the rest of the care will be given. There are several team members (Caregivers/CNAs) that I would also mention for their ability to step up and meet increased care demands for your loved one when that time happens. (i.e Justin, Sue, Sahar, Georgette, Alicia, Sashan) to name a few - As well the rooms are spacious, well-kept (thank you Shamika/Anthony). The Dining crew has been amazing in consistency of meals/quality and I have witnessed residents clearing their plates daily. (Great job, Evan/crew)! There are many more team members that deserve recognition, but, too many to list & keep in mind it is a personal experience. I have been super pleased and comforted since my Mom moved January '24. The care plan is ever changing so it is super important to keep the lines of communication open and transparent so that your expectations are met.

My Dad passed away and my Mom is still is assisted living doing very well. The staff is amazing and care very much about the residents. Prior to moving them from an independent living facility in upstate New York, I checked out many of the assisted living facilities in the area and found that Oakmonte Village was by far the best. The facility has always been well maintained and many of the staff members have been at Oakmonte since my parents moved in. The staff has always been very caring and kind ... and the facility offers a wide variety of great activities for the residents. I have always felt comfortable with Oakmonte and am very glad that I chose this assisted living facility for my mom and dad.

My parents have lived at Oakmonte Village for almost 10 years and it has been a great experience. They have lived in all levels of care during this time and until a couple of years ago, they were in one of the Independent Villa residences with a single car garage. This gave them the independence and feel of their own home. The time finally came when they needed more care and they moved together into the Assisted Living apartments. Dad is now in a single apartment in Assisted Living and mom is in the Women's Memory Care wing on the first floor of the same building. I know how hard it is to transition your parent or parents from the long time family house and I visited and researched most of the places in Orlando and the Metro Area before finding Oakmonte. Let me just say, that the difference was night and day in comparing all others to Oakmonte Village and the pricing was as good or better than anywhere else. This is truly a community with all levels of expanded care available on one campus and we have been extremely happy with the care, attention and amenities provided. Highly recommend.

My mother has lived at Oakmonte assisted living for five years and she still tells me she could not be at a nicer place. The staff from every department is wonderful and go above and beyond for the residents. The staff during the difficult days of shut down due to covid kept my mother safe and with all their added responsibilities they still found time to creatively serve residents. I know my mother is being well taken care of by a dedicated staff. My mother is correct, she could not be at a nicer place. I appreciate all that they do for her.

My mother has been a resident of this facility for two years. She was a resident a few years ago, as well. She is in her late 80's. The management and staff have been wonderful. They treat their residents as family. My mom has a chronic health issue and thanks to their concern and quality care she is doing well. I cannot say enough as to the gratitude my family and I feel towards our Oakmonte family. I would recommend Oakmonte to anyone having to make that difficult decision to place a loved one in a beautiful, clean and caring atmosphere.

My mom has been cared for at Oakmonte Village for nearly 2 years. She is in the memory care unit with dementia. As sad as this diagnosis/situation is, the staff has helped us all cope with this horrible disease. She is well cared for and most importantly, she is safe from harm. Especially with the current pandemic, my mom is absolutely in the right place. The staff, God bless them, have incredible patience with my mom and all of the other residents. If I ever have concerns, the staff and administration are quick to respond. Oakmonte Village was the right choice for placement once we were physically unable to care for her ourselves.

My mother lives in this facility and seems to really like it... but the five star review I'm leaving is for the staff. I've interacted with a few people when visiting my mother and everyone was helpful, kind, and just seemed really invested in the community. It didn't feel cold at all--quite the opposite. Michael especially has been amazing. When COVID isolated the residents, Michael set up video chats for our family. He's bent over backwards for my mother and has just been a good friend. I initially wasn't in favor of my mother leaving home and I had hoped she'd stay in her apartment in NYC. Michael has made what for me was a difficult reality to accept, a lot easier. I do think my mother is in good hands. This property markets itself as luxury and it's a beautiful facility, but I think what makes it a good choice are the people working there.
