I feel so blessed my mother has been at Westminster Woods for 10 years. Initially living in independent living, then moving to assisted living, and now a resident of the Healthcare Center for over 2 years. This review is long overdue. I suppose I felt I did not know how to give thanks and credit to all the staff involved in her care and the departments that run the facility. The staff, atmosphere, and services are better than I could have ever imagined. Although my mother is completely bedridden in the Healthcare Center, her care is excellent. So many departments and staff involved that fuse together always with the residences best interest at the heart of the decisions made and actions given. I wish I could list all the departments and specific people at Westminster that I have encountered and behind the scenes, but I know I would leave someone out. The grounds are also so beautiful with the water view and courtyards always being the main attraction. I realize it is an older facility and may not have the new modern flare appeal, but I would not want my mother anywhere else. Again, my family and I are so blessed to have my mother being cared for at Westminster Woods.

We were attracted to WWJC because of the ever so friendly staff and the beautiful environment. It is so peaceful here! The birds, squirrels, ducks, geese, little lizards, the occasional alligator, and ever so much more! And there is the creek, the ponds, and the stunning trees. We chose to live in the garden apartments. The buildings are unique. The apartments have a lot of natural light due to the skylights. We also have a cathedral ceiling which is a lovely addition. The food is very tasty! Lots of entree choices in addition to the salad choices, soups, drinks, desserts! Activities; there are so many activities to choose from. No matter what our physical and mental abilities are, we have every opportunity to improve, or at the minimum maintain, through exercise programs and challenging games. Of course, it's not perfect here. At our age, we will hear complaints. But, that's to be expected when there are over 450 residents, all different personalities and backgrounds. But, I find it interesting that every person that talks with me and has a complaint, will finish with the words, "I wouldn't want to live anywhere else."

Hats off to the staff! Two activities that stood out this week were the Fiddler on the Roof and Coffee Series Symphony events. The seating selection at the Alhambra Theatre was superb. Often dinner at those venues is ok, but here it was excellent, with some good choices and generous amounts. The theatre group was unique and did a great job. I felt like part of the production, sitting up so close. The Symphony was awesome; another reason to be at WWJC. The restaurant selection afterwards was a good one; close to home and they provided excellent service. We could have gone on our own, but this way is more enjoyable. Organizing the transportation for both events was well done. The availability of such service is something I had been looking forward to when we came to WWJC; not having to drive, figure out parking, what time to leave, etc. There are always challenges going out with people our age and the size of the group  but the staff is well prepared and provided with equipment like a lift on the bus... (and bottles of water).

Both my parents love here. They live independently but my Dad had excellent care at their rapid recovery after he broke his hip. My Mom could easily visit him there, which was nice since she doesn't drive anymore. He is back living with Mom again but he can take the tram to PT and OT.

Three years ago, we chose WWJC because of its natural beauty -- old oak trees, gorgeous water views and convenient walking trails. After we moved here, we were amazed daily by the kindness of the staff, from main office to nursing to maintenance. I also found the onsite Physical Therapy team is very competent and empathetic. Moving to WWJC was one of the best decisions we ever made!

Great place for seniors with an active lifestyle and a bevy of engaging activities. Full continum of care available from independent living (garden apartment, apartments, and villas), assisted living, and health care center (Rapid Recovery Unit, Skilled Nursing Care, therapy staff and complete fitness center). Dining room, computer center, art center, museum, library boutique store, country store, chapel and auditorium round out the available facilities. If you are not active and engaged here, you are not trying!

What a lovely and caring place for Mom. We were there on a daily basis. We could see the love and care provided for Mom and the other residents. Westminster has an outstanding enrichment program that I know Mom benefitted from. We especially enjoyed the therapy garden!

The care during the threat from Hurricane Ian was exemplary. I chose to stay put, and they delivered to my independent living villa lots of water bottles and 5 days of my delicious, nutritious fresth food choices. When I inadvertently locked myself out the afternoon before, the Security man and Sam from Maintenance came immediately to open my door, and also removed 2 window fans from my garage windows and closed them. Nora came from the main office to make sure I had an ID bracelet and signed the required waiver. I felt secure at all times, and that is a priceless gift to this elderly widow and to my far-away children!

My wife and I have lived in Westminster Woods on Julington Creek for eleven months. We have made many new wonderful, caring friends. We eat at least one meal per day in the dinning room. It has a beautiful view of Julington Creek and the food is delicious with a wide variety of menu items. Every meal is prepared fresh by experienced chefs. The property on which WWJC resides is one of the most beautiful in Florida. There are more activities than one person could possible do, which include: art classes, Chorus, handbell choir, recorder consort, lectures, craft club, woodworking shop, weekly musical concerts, monthly social, weekly movies, Sunday vesper services and Catholic mass, fitness center and recreational activities. There is a variety of housing accommodations for independent living, assisted living, memory care and health center. The staff is well trained and highly qualified. I would recommend WWJC to anyone looking for a continuous care retirement community.

Westminster Woods on Julington Creek is a little corner of Heaven! After a year of soul searching, I moved to Westminster Woods six months ago. I have a charming garden apartment designed by a student of Frank Lloyd Wright - complete with beautiful vaulted ceilings. My morning coffee is enjoyed with friends while we observe anhingas and turtles compete for log-space on Turtle Lake. My Yorkie and I take walks along the river on 90 acres of beautiful biking and hiking paths. A large staff works hard to prepare and serve three enjoyable meals per day. Meals are served in a large open dining room with floor to ceiling windows that overlook the river. I dine at a round table with 6 intelligent friends where we tell our stories, plan our days, and solve the worlds problems. There are delightful activities, socials, musical performances, storytellers, etc. planned for us. We have all kinds of exercise classes, on-site Mass, and Vespers overlooking a breathtaking view of Julington Creek. WESTMINSTER WOODS on Julington Creek is like living in a beautiful wildlife preserve, resort that I can enjoy, but dont have to maintain. What MORE could I ask for??!! Thank you, WWJC, for providing this wonder place!!

Ive been a resident for a year and a half, coming as a widow at age 75 into independent living. My life life is rich with friends, fitness classes of all kinds, many stimulating on-campus and off-campus activities that satisfy my interests in music, theater, continuing Ed classes, lectures, and volunteer work. The campus is a rare beauty in the midst of upscale suburbia and very pleasant on which to live. The dining room is top notch. Whats not to love? I feel safe and valued.

You must have to pass a nice test to work here. Ive had experience with other rehab and nursing facilities with other close family members. This is a standout! The entire staff - nursing, administrative, social - is top notch. I recommend Westminster Woods for rehab, total nursing care and assisted living (if you can afford it). If I need any of these services this is the place I hope to go.

We have lived in this beautiful community for 6 years. It is the best decision we made for our golden years. The waterfront campus with majestic live oak trees and many open spaces brings peace and tranquility. The many amenities and variety of activities that focus on wellness, health and happiness are the very best. Living in this community give us the assurance that as our care needs advance we will have access to gracious assisted living and skilled nursing care. We have already utilized the health services of the Resource Clinic and the expertise of the Rehabilitation staff. Health care is the very best with a Health Center staffed with excellent, professional highly trained staff in multiple disciplines. A 5 star outstanding community. We highly recommend it.

My dad filled out a suggestion form yesterday that the dinning room make big peanut butter cookies because they are his favorite. I went for lunch there with him today and TT custom made a huge peanut butter cookie for my dad! What an amazing place! TT considers all the residents her mom and dad! She brought tears to my eyes. Weve been here as residents for only two months but its already home. Everyone is so welcoming here and enjoy bringing newbies into the family. So much to do its hard to choose! Dont miss our home of 16 years at all as we love our new tree penthouse apartment. It easy getting used to others doing all your cleaning and maintenance for you. This is resort living with an added holy touch because so many people of faith, including dozens of clergy, and veterans are here. We love WMWJC. New Thanksgiving Day- we are now 8 months here and we still feel like we live in a resort. Everyone on staff is wonderful and wants tomake your time here safe and enjoyable. There is so much to do here its hard to pick your event. Were already volunteering in cur Country Store and at Bingo(thats in memory of my Mom) & as ambassadors for prospective residents. Weve gone to seminars, musical and theatre programs, tastings, & movies. We play Mexican Train weekly. Well be helping host at the JCP boat parade as well. Love all the new friends weve met & shared a gourmet Thanksgiving meal with them in our waterfront dining room today. There is no better place to retire. Come on down!

We first came to Westminster Woods on Julington Creek because, after our first few years of retirement, we began to have some health problems. My wife and I decided we needed a plan for our future. After looking at a lot of communities, we found that this was the place for us. I was impressed with this community, but also with Westminster Communities of Florida. Its a financially sound organization with well-run, beautiful communities throughout the state. Thats a very important consideration. I can play golf easily here, too! We have a special membership at the Julington Creek Golf Club, just a mile away. I can still play golf twice a week – with reduced greens fees. We love our home here, of course. But best of all, we love our neighbors and the staff. Its like a small town, and you can get to know everyone here over a short period of time. I have come to know almost everyone here — our neighbors and the people who work here. Everyone is truly incredible, very caring and dedicated. This is such a nice place to live.

Ive had several friends that needed to put their moms & dads in an assisted living type place and after looking around found that Westminister Woods really offered them the best option. I have been there several times to help family members of friends and my kids have helped out volunteering there too. The staff has always been very nice. Its located right on Julington Creek in just a beautiful setting.
