When it came time to place my husband in assisted living, I visited several facilities. The moment I walked into Presidential Place in Hollywood, Florida, and met with the social worker, I immediately felt welcomed and confident that my husband would be well cared for. Once he became a resident, I found peace in watching how the staff interacted, not only with him but also with each other. They were warm, friendly, and genuinely caring, creating an atmosphere where every resident was treated with respect and personal attention. The food was another wonderful surprise. One evening, Presidential Place graciously hosted a dinner for ten of my husband’s friends to help him feel comfortable and surrounded by familiar faces. Everyone was amazed at how delicious the meal was. Day to day, the dining experience continued to impress, with a variety of tasty options. There were also daily activities for residents, something for every interest and ability. When my husband’s needs changed, and he had to move from assisted living to memory care, the staff handled every detail. They ensured his new room was ready and welcoming, making the transition as smooth as possible. I was consistently impressed with every aspect of care. On especially difficult days, the administrators and staff met us with compassion and understanding. I felt at home there and experienced great relief knowing my husband was in good hands. I highly recommend Presidential Place to anyone seeking assisted living or memory care.

The staff at Presidential Place is amazing. They are unbelievably kind and patient with everyone. The place has a friendly homey vibe and they care a lot of what the residents think of the food. I ate there this past Father's Day with my mom and they had a special menu of NY Strip or Shrimp and Scallops - I was very impressed. Their regular menu always includes fresh salad and vegetables. My mom has been a resident at Presidential Place for a year and a half and initially improved quite a bit from when she first moved in. They are very good about engaging the residents in their daily exercise classes, word games and social activities. And her neurologist said engaging someone with Dementia mentally, physically and socially gives them the best quality of life. I'm reviewing the facility now because my mom recently declined and needed extra help with daily incontinence, getting to meals, showering and dressing. The entire staff was great helping me navigate this and helping my mom with her increased needs. I'm really glad we moved her in when she was just beginning to need help. She had begun falling and was unable to get herself up off the floor. Burners were left on. She had to give up driving. Shopping, cooking and laundry were all getting too much for her. I just felt she wasn't safe on her own anymore. At first she didn't think she needed to be there. But I'm glad the staff got to know her fiesty personality and that she got the routine and her surroundings locked into her long term memory. I think it makes this new phase easier than it would have been. She really likes the staff and feels she is in a 4-5 star hotel. She loves that someone else does all the shopping, cooking, cleaning and laundry. She feels like this is her personal staff. With the Presidential team (Kenn, Veronique, Lameshia, Brianna, Gladys, Erica, Ashely and all of the servers and aides) helping meet her needs we both sleep better. Not only is she happy, but I'm not so burnt out trying to do everything; I get to be her loving daughter again. Thank you Presidential - you are a Godsend.

Beautiful layout with nice sis ious lobby, but none if the businesses have maters or signs telling you how to find them. There is a nice amount of parking but again, hard to figure out where to park because there are no signs to direct you to your destination.

Posting an update to my initial post from 2 1/2 years ago, for those considering this community or any other Assisted Living residence. Rapidly increasing monthly costs and turnover in leadership (3 Executive Directors in less than 3 years) is very concerning. My mom’s fragile financial situation was explained to management upon moving her into the community but each time leadership changes it has to be explained again. Her finances comfortably covered the costs, initially. With recent increases, that is no longer the case. I understand that it’s a business and retaining the best staff requires inreases in salary and benefits. However, I was assured that the aging in place philosophy is valued at Presidential Place. This was a major part of our family’s decision to move her here. We didn’t anticipate that it would happen so soon after moving in. She is finally content, has made friends and the employees here do a good job supporting her. Praying for compassion and understanding to work through this situation. Had to move my mother with very short notice. Kenn and the staff at Presidential Place helped every step of the way, understanding our needs and providing the best support. My mother is now very happy in her new home and I could not have asked for a more positive experience!

My mom is 90 years old, she has been living at Presidential Place since January 2023. She has grown to love it as her home. She enjoys the atmosphere, the many activities, especially the ones that stimulate her mind. She said that she feels as if she is in college on campus 🙂 Her days are packed. She is only available to chat on the phone early in the morning or late after dinner, except for Tuesdays and Thursdays when she spends the evening playing dominos with her new friends. The entire staff at Presidential is very attentive to her needs. From the staff who help her get ready in the morning and at night, to the servers in the dining room, the chef, the cook, the teachers and the executive staff; they all do their best to ensure my mom is happy at Presidential Place. My family appreciate all the kindness and care my mom receives at Presidential. We feel at peace knowing that she is in good hands. This is the best place for my mom! I thank God everyday for this miracle!

It’s been officially a year my mom has been a resident at Presidential Place memory care unit. This was a really hard decision for me and our family and I must say that overall my family and I are very happy. My mother is advanced stage Dementia/Alzheimer and needs assistance with EVERYTHING . The staff here are for the most part great. I love how well the general area is kept clean. They definitely give them enough to eat and they bring in some pretty good musical entertainment. I would definitely recommend Presidential Place for a loved one. I’m sure no one can say that there’s a perfect place but I would say that I do get a peace of mind that my mom will be safe and cared for here. Being that my mom is non-communicative, and taking into consideration that it is a memory care unit I feel that the change of shifts could do a little better with debriefing each other on daily concerns. Ie. Eating, toileting, changes in behavior, medical distribution etc. Just so that if a family member has a concern all staff would be on the same page with information. Other than that I am very pleased with Presidential Place and all they have to offer DEFINITELY RECOMMEND

My mother who is fighting Alzheimers resides in the memory care unit. Knowing that Alzheimers is a disease where you can slowly lose your attachment with your loved one, I was reluctant to place my mom in any facility. I chose Presidential Place because the reviews were already good, but I feel like the great reviews are warranted. The memory care staff, headed by Latoya Reid, is very caring for with my mom and I love it. Kenn Vogele is doing a tremendous job as Lead Director. I am sure that I made the right decision

Update July 2023: It’s been 15 months since we moved my mom into Presidential Place. I’m happy to say mom is doing very well. Of course she still misses her home but we know she is being cared for and is much better off than before. She gets her medicines daily, which was not happening before. She participates in activities and is not alone all day. The facility is lovely and clean and very well run. Director Kenn Voegele is absolutely wonderful. He is very responsive and very caring. I highly recommend Presidential Place for your loved one. Prior review: We placed my mother at Presidential Place two months ago. This was, and continues to be, a very difficult decision. She has always been an extremely independent woman, but in recent years, cognitive dementia and other things have had a huge impact on her. My sister and I saw many places but they all missed the mark, When we walked into Presidential Place, and met with their Director, it was exactly what we had been looking for. The facility looks like a hotel, is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. They have numerous daily activities for the Assisted Living residents and the staff is attentive, thoughtful, and caring. They also have a memory-care section so if our mom should need more attention, it will be an easy transition since it's all in the same facility. Another big reason we selected PP was because of their Director, Kenn Voegele. He took the time to learn about my mom's story, our story, and all the reasons that led us to this decision. Kenn is actively involved with the residents and takes time daily to speak to them. He follows-up to ensure their every need is met and stays in close contact with us as often as we need. He truly cares about everyone's well-being and can relate to the situation family members and residents find themselves in, having gone through the same thing with his own mom. He gets it. He is compassionate, patient, dedicated to his work, and has gone above and beyond to make my mom, and us, feel comfortable. We simply could not have asked for anything more and could not have gone through this process without Kenn's guidance. We are grateful to the staff at PP for the daily care and attention they provide for my mom, and are especially grateful to Kenn for his support, understanding, and friendship.

My mother in law suffered a minor stroke and was in need of an assisted living facility to help her regain mobility. Other places seemed like prisons in their lack of cleanliness, rude staff, and poor living conditions. No so with Presidential Place. The entire place smells clean and the staff is friendly, attentive, and eager to help. The facility offers so many things to their residents in order to keep them occupied and entertained. It really is like a resort for the residents. They should change the name to Presidential Palace. 🙂 Thank you for everything you do and keep up the good work.

After two weeks of living at Presidential Place, my stepmother appears happier than she’s been in years; today, she showed me with great enthusiasm the Friday events itinerary, as well as the refrigerator full of ice cream she purchased while out on one of PP’s scheduled shopping trips. Myself and other family members have regularly visited and are consistently impressed by the kindness and patience of staff as we not only interact with them, but as we watch them interact with other residents. I was so worried about my stepmother’s future after moving her from the isolated cabin in TN that she lived at with my father before his passing seven weeks ago; the otherwise rapid transition has been carefully and gently handled by PP and their staff, and my family and I are immensely grateful!

The staff is caring, the meals are delicious and the programming is interactive. When our dad decided he no longer could live alone in his condo development, we asked around about assisted living communities. Presidential Place topped the list of recommendations. We quickly understood why when we met with the highly professional and caring managers, toured the lovely and well-kept building and, just as important, saw the engagement and activity (and the many smiling faces of residents and staff) in the common areas. A few weeks later, when he moved in earlier this year, management went the extra mile to make sure it was an easy transition. He’s settled in nicely. He's receiving the assistance he needs. is glad to have various activities and services available, and is enjoying his bright, modern apartment. Another plus he tells us: The food is delicious. My sister and I, now back at our homes in Texas and New Jersey, are quite comfortable knowing that our dad is part of such a well-run community.

Placing your loved one in an Assisted Living Facility is a very difficult and stressful decision to have to make. My sister and I were looking to place our father in an Assisted Living Facility with Memory Care since our father has Alzheimers and our mother could not care for him any longer. We met with Kenn Voegele at Presidential Place and he has been wonderful. He is so caring and understanding of our situation that it felt like we were talking to a friend. He answered all of our questions and continued to answer the tons of other questions we continued to come up with during the move in process. He and the staff were also very accommodating and helpful during this process. Our father has been at Presidential Place for two months and we are happy with our decision. We feel he is very well taken care of. Lauren Mathes, the Memory Care Director, is amazing. She is very sweet and you can tell she really cares about the residents. She is constantly planning activities and outings for them. When my father first moved in, she told me that she doesn't want the residents to live the same day over and over, and that really resonated with me. Whenever I go visit my father, everyone seems to know him. The staff and a lot of the Assisted Living residents say hello to him by name. It's nice that they include the Memory Care residents in some of the activities with the Assisted Living Residents also. My father seemed to live such a boring life when he was at home along with my mother, and now he constantly has something to do. I also feel calm because every time I call to talk to Lauren about something concerning my father, she answers or calls me back promptly. The place is also always clean and my father enjoys his meals. I know he hasn't been there that long, but so far, I feel that I made the right decision in placing my father at Presidential Place. If you are looking to place a loved one in an ALF, I recommend giving Kenn Voegele a call and considering Presidential Place, Hollywood.

My mother has lived here a year and is thriving. She was so alone at home and has always been a social person. At Presidential she has daily activities and and weekly lunch outing as well as visits to the park and beach. She loves bingo and all the entertainment. The activities director Ashley is wonderful and so caring. They have days where therapy animals visit and she loves that the building allows residents to have animals. All the staff know her name. I think it’s easy for people to judge things when they show up one day a year. I’m there multiple days a week. The staff is very attentive and always ready to help whether she needs laundry done on a non laundry day or needs her room cleaned or food brought to her, she just needs to ask. She made friends fast and always says she’s glad she moved in while she’s still able to do things and enjoy the fun. The new management have been extremely helpful and the director Laura has been so nice with answering all my questions making sure my mom is as comfortable and happy as possible. Assisted living is never an easy decision and I’m very grateful to have found a place I know my mom is safe and happy.

I only put four stars because my mother has only been at presidential place for a month. I came down to visit for the first time this week and was very pleased with the staff and management. The facility is clean and well maintained. I asked the attendant at the front desk which room my mother was in and she told me right off the top of her head, she did not have to look it up. I was impressed!!! I'm sure that I will be updating my star status to five stars in do time. Special kudos to Ken.

Thank you Presidential place for making my mom and all of those wonderful and amazing residents there feel like loyalty. My mom can't stop talking about how every one there is thee most kindest and compassionate people she has ever met. She speaks so highly of the nurses, the cna's the administration and the staff there. Words can't explain how I see for myself their heart shines when family members enter that front door to visit their love ones. They make you feel so welcomed. If you cant sleep at night thinking about how your love one is being treated, take them to the Presidential place I GUARANTEE U WILL BE SLEEPING LIKE A BABY. I should know because I am getting plenty of rest at night knowing mom is being treated like a queen that she is every day and every night. I am overjoyed and truly blessed to know guardian Angel's are there at The Presidential Place.
