On day one while touring multiple Assisted Living Facilities with Care Patrol, The Camilla at Gulf Breeze stood out to us”the cleanliness, the professionalism of the team, the happiness on the current residents faces! Moving a loved-one into a new environment is so worrisome. We feared all the unknowns! But five months later The Camellia continues to stand out to us. It’s the warm and friendly managers upfront. It’s the excellent meals in the cafe. It’s the patience and respect shown by the staff too! One tech, Ms Tiffany has gone above and beyond on multiple occasions to make sure my mom was clean and comfortable!! This place feels like home for us and the management and team here really help lighten the burden of stress, giving us a little peace and reducing that fear of the unknown everyday! We say thank you! Keep standing out!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Camellia. The home is always clean, welcoming, and well maintained, and the food is excellent. Most importantly, I have complete peace of mind knowing my aunt is safe, cared for, and treated with kindness and respect every day. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure residents feel comfortable and engaged. They offer all kinds of activities which my aunt truly loves. Knowing that my aunt is surrounded by such a thoughtful and attentive team brings our family tremendous peace of mind. We could not have made a better decision for our mom! She loves it here! The staff treat her with respect and also as if she was their own mother-which is very comforting to us! It's always clean and she always has some kind of activity to look forward to. It's never an easy decision when it comes to moving a loved one into a place such as this, simply for the unknown. We recently moved my uncle from Texas to Florida and chose The Camellia, and I truly cannot say enough positive things about our experience. From the moment he arrived, the staff has been welcoming, attentive, and genuinely caring.The level of care is excellent, and it’s clear that the residents are treated with dignity and respect. The food is consistently well-prepared and enjoyable, and there is always a variety of engaging activities that keep residents active, social, and happy.The transition from out of state could have been stressful, but the team made the entire process smooth and reassuring for both our family and my uncle. It brings us great peace of mind knowing he is in such a safe, supportive, and well-run environment.I would highly recommend this assisted living community to anyone looking for quality care, great meals, and a positive, engaging atmosphere.

Everybody at The Camellia treated my mother, like she was their mother. My mother got well there thanks to the loving care that was given to my mother. I am forever appreciative of what they did. My mother was a celebrity there. Tears were shed when I brought mom back home with me. No place is perfect, but it was the perfect place for my mom.

THIS IS THE BEST ALF!!! The compassion and attentive care provided by the staff is so humbling to witness. this facility has a warm welcoming presence from the moment you walk through the front door. The entire team is kind, patient and clear they genuinely care and love what they do. I just have to brag on this place!!! The dining room is beautiful, the food is delicious. It is a very clean and welcoming enviorment from the time you walk in the door. I would recommend this facility if you are looking for a good, safe and comfortable place for you loved one. The compassion and caring attitudes the staff brings to that place really stands out, it truly makes the community feel like a big family! I have total peace of mind knowing my relative is loved and cared for.

This place is a 5 Star facility with a 5 Star staff. My only regret with was not encouraging my father to move there sooner. An absolutely wonderful place with delightful residents and staff alike! Ask for Tammy, she is amazing and made the process so easy and very professional!

The staff at The Camellia gave my mother the greatest gift of all love. She expressed to me the wonderful feeling of being safe, less worried about managing so many things in her life, and the joy of new friends and activities. My mother smiled every day. She loved to walk around her new neighborhood at The Camellia and check on everyone, yet she also enjoyed retreating to the peaceful comfort of her apartment. After I experienced the difficulties of having a parent in the house who needs more daily care than I can provide without severely sidetracking my own life, I quickly evolved to appreciate and respect the magnitude of specialized skills required to care for 30+ senior residents and their adult children with unique requests. To be honest it was shocking to meet so many people in one business who cared so much. At first, I was expecting my mother’s move to assisted living to be a sad chapter in her life, but with the grace of God it turned out to be a very happy one. Almost every day I walked out of The Camellia, I left with a smile on my face after seeing a smile on my mother’s and for that I am forever grateful. Eric Furlow

I recently had the pleasure of helping my aunt transition to her new home at The Camellia, a step that she, a fiercely independent lady, initially resisted due to the significant change it represented. From our very first visit, the warmth and welcoming nature of the staff began to ease her concerns, subtly assuring her that this could indeed be a delightful place to live. One of the facility's most accommodating features was their ability to house both my aunt and uncle in the same room. This gesture significantly helped in maintaining a semblance of their normal life, making the transition much smoother for them both. Their daily life continues to thrive at The Camellia. The dining room has become a highlight of their day, not only because of the excellent food but also due to the social interactions they enjoy with fellow residents. An added comfort is knowing that even when one of them feels under the weather, they can still savor a good meal together in the privacy of their own room. This flexibility is invaluable, ensuring they continue to enjoy their daily routines without interruption. I highly recommend The Camellia to anyone looking for a facility that respects its residents' independence while providing the necessary support for day-to-day living. The staff's dedication to creating a nurturing environment that celebrates the individuality and independence of its residents is truly commendable.

My mother and step father had their identity stolen by a staff member who accessed their credit card and checking account information. Several thousand dollars were taken out of their bank accounts. The evening before my mother passed away, an empty syringe that had contained her oral morphine was left on the countertop in her room, which is a medical violation. Additionally, later that evening one of the attendants walked past me in the lobby area reeking of marijuana smoke. I was horrified to find numerous cockroaches in her room as well. The security here is laughable. The front doors do not work properly and can simply be pulled apart to open. No one ever checks the sign in sheet to see if anyone has signed out. There was a large stain on the floor next to my mother's bed that indicated that something had spilled onto the floor and been half heartedly wiped away and not properly mopped up. Only after I said something did the spot get properly cleaned. Had my mother not passed away on Christmas morning, my family had decided we were going to move her away from The Camellia. I do not recommend this facility in the slightest.

Our daughter has been at the Cameilla for over 6 years. There have been different owners and different employees over the years. They are part of our family and we love them dearly. The facility is beautiful and the staff are amazing!!! We could not have our daughter in any better place!! She is loved, cared for and happy!!! Absolutely the BEST!!!!

The below comment and the 1 star is for The Watermark NOT The Camellia! There are no roaches at The Camellia. I am happy to say that The Camellia took care of business and got rid of the roaches. They are actively working on improvements. My current opinion is a 5 star. The place is full of roaches. I had to finally move my sister. While packing her for the move it was much worse than I thought. Sure wish I could post pictures and video here.
