The team at The Windsor performed miracles, moving my father from the hospital in Lake City on a Saturday into the Windsor. Ruth has been so helpful and thoughtful throughout our decision-making process and Dad's move, making sure everything and everyone was in place to make his move go smoothly, including working a very long day on Saturday. Blayde has been wonderful to work with, also driving a very long way to evaluate Dad and then clearly communicating to me how he would handle Dad's care. I've been impressed with the staff, from Connie at the front desk, to the nursing staff, and dining staff. Always attentive and friendly, they clearly enjoy their jobs. In one week Dad has gained weight and is doing great! Thank you all! I would definitely recommend The Windsor of Gainesville.

My Mother has been staying at the Windsor for a couple of years. The staff is very professional and friendly. When they see her in the hallway, they will greet her by name. They have great activities and the facility is very, very nice. I highly recommend the Windsor for assisted living...

My mom has been living in the Windsor for over 19 months. The staff helped her (and our family) transition from assisted living to memory care. For those of you currently helping an aging parent or relative, you understand how difficult it can be to manage the emotional, medical and care issues during this time of our lives. We couldn’t have managed it without the care and assistance from the staff at the Windsor. They treat mom like family and we trust that she is taken care of when we can’t be there. It is comforting to know mom is in a safe place with people who love her. The daily activities planned for the residents are engaging and beneficial to their physical and mental health. The cleanliness and upkeep of the rooms is outstanding. They provide nursing, PT and PT services onsite, as well as, hair and nail care and podiatry. We researched many assisted living places before choosing the Windsor. We considered the choice to be one of the most important of her life. We would make the same choice again.

Why isn’t there enough staff on schedule to provide the support needed at the Gainesville facility! My father almost died because that place is so out of control and have no processes in place and/or not enough people to give the right care (care givers work all meals in dining area as well as take care of elderly, not enough staff on-call or enough period)! The facility had orders from my dads urologist (my sister called twice to make sure they had them - this is a full time job making sure every time she takes him to an appt the facility has all the follow up paperwork, etc) to do blood test which may have found infection in his blood vs 2 days later he woke up in the middle of the night shaking out of control and luckily I was staying with him and the on call nurse had to call 911! Another example, my dad had a flu shot scheduled for 0900, no one at nurses station, housekeeper asked if I need help, she went to front desk, asked nurse to be sent to room, she came. “I’m the only nurse here, I’m working in memory care, still giving meds, & have been called all over the place, haven’t had time to check to make sure we even have it!” So far I have to say that despite having probably the kindest staff. The Windsor of Gainesville just does not deliver. They oversell their food services. They show you beautiful pictures of the food in your meet and greet and in reality, it is less than adequate! We pay a lot of money for this kind of service for my father. Yes we can relocate him but it’s hard to move elderly folks around as you know - we will consider moving him if we do not see any positive progress by YE 2018. I would not recommend this facility to anyone in its current position!

I am currently a resident of The Windsor of Gainesville. It is an awesome assisted living facility in all respects. It is a beautiful new facility and a really comfortable place. The quality of the building and furnishings is only surpassed by the helpfulness and the friendliness of the staff. They are genuinely caring and personally helpful to each and every resident. They greet you with your name and never fail to ask if everything is okay and whether you need any special assistance. I am a lifelong gerontologist by education and profession, so I have a firm basis for my evaluation of The Windsor as a five star assisted living facility.
