I've only been here at the Brookdale Fort Walton Beach for a few months. In my short time here I've seen a great change in the staff. The new Executive Director has a lot of vision for upgrades and truly cares for the residents. A happy place to live and work.

Brookdale cared for my mom for 3 years, very compassionate and caring, I couldnt think of a better place for my mom. The level of care is what one would expect for their loved ones and not only did they take care of her, they made sure I was always informed about her health and always consulted me on her care.

My father is living in Brookdale Fort Walton Beach. Its been exceptional, and the people have been extremely helpful with the stressful situation of getting my father moved. They were awesome about it, got him settled, worked with me, and manage his healthcare extremely well. I like the people. It's a very safe environment. They do all of his cleaning, laundry, and food.

This community was not as inviting to the eye as others we had toured. It was an older community that is in desperate need of a refurbish. The carpet needs to be replaced and everything needs a good paint job to make it brighter and more inviting. The staff was friendly and very nice.

We have mom here at Brookdale Fort Walton Beach for a respite stay in the hopes that this will become her permanent home. We like the fact that she can stay here through all of her care needs all the way through to hospice. Mom can be difficult at times and the staff is trying their best and to do as much as they can to make her comfortable. I have to communicate with them long distance and they try to accommodate my suggestions of improving my mom's acclimating to her new surroundings. They do offer activities, but at this point in time my mom is doing a sit-in and refusing to participate. This experience is definitely a work in process.

My Dad has moved in here after some medical issues. The facility is VERY clean with great common areas where the residents can socialize and mingle, making new friends. The staff is very attentive yet allows the residents their privacy. The meals are made fresh every day with healthy ingredients. There is a bus onsite that can transport the residents to shopping or other errands. This facility is a great find!
