Our mom is a resident of Heritage Oaks’ Villages. She has been living there since May. Her care has always been exceptional. The staff are extremely caring and compassionate. However, during Hurricane Ian, the staff went above and beyond to ensure that the residents were safe and well cared for. Twila and her team take such good care of the residents, including mom. It is such a comfort to our family to know that our mom is in good hands at Heritage Oaks everyday.

My mother moved into Heritage Oaks assisted living after a stroke in 2021. Everyone at HO worked diligently to make sure she was safe, clean, and comfortable...which were my absolute "musts". As she declined and after her husband passed away, it was becoming clear she needed more and more assistance. The staff at HO was very kind and accommodating, guiding me through the process for the best possible transition for my mother...going so far as to invite her to "visit" memory care as to acclimate her to the new environment. By the time she moved in, she already "knew" people and felt right at home. My mother lived in Memory Care for 6 months. She was always safe...my first priority. The security for Memory Care is solid and unwavering. I finally slept at night knowing she was not going to wander off the property. To my second "must", she was clean. The staff kept a clear bathing schedule, and again, as much as she allowed, they were always diligent to their schedule. And finally, she was comfortable. She was as engaged as possible for her personality. The staff tried to keep all residents engaged with various activities throughout the day, interacting with each and every resident. Not all residents are willing or able to be part of all the activities, however, from my view, the staff at Heritage Oaks goes above and beyond, trying to engage and care for the residents at Heritage Oaks. I am forever grateful for the care my mother received. I could never have been as patience or knowledgeable about my mother's needs. Twila has a great crew working for her and I am very thankful to have such a facility and such individuals so close to my home.

My husband has been a resident in Memory Care for 5 months. He has made wonderful adjustment and is happy and content! The staff is very caring and attuned to the needs of the residents. One person in particular has been very helpful to me in this transition and that is Twila Y. She has answered all my questions and concerns in a timely manner through visits, emails ot phone calls. I was there on Wednesday (11th). I was amazed as Twila gave a tour to a family visiting the facility. As she talked to them she was also fielding questions from the staff (a shift change was happening), guiding residents to chairs or locating walkers, while still conducting the tour! Twila is an amazing staff member!! I am so glad she is there to guide the attendants in their care of the residents.

I have had my mother-in-law at three facilities. This is the last she will ever be at. I found her final home. She has been a challenge to this entire team. When she first came it was a hard transition. The team lead by the E.D. made my wife, which he had to do, feel comfortable and know everything was going to be OK. I don't remember his name but he and his dog Hunter make everyone feel special. We all matter to him. He calls late at night, it is when we are available and he takes the time to talk to me about her care. Sean the nurse has compassion and takes such good care of mom. I appreciate all they do for us. I normally only write to complain about a business. But, the Executive Director is by far the best I have ever seen. My wife and I asked him to work for us, but he declined. He has different business experience and it shows. He is all heart and if you are deciding about your parents coming here, know that this team will take amazing care. The food is delicious and they are always laughing and dancing. Thank you Heritage Oaks. And we are sorry for being a pain in the butt all the time.

My husband has been at Heritage Oaks memory care for going on 3 years, he feels like it is home which is very comforting. The staff are all so good to him which I have observed at many different times and different days. He is happy with the food, activities, and accommodations. Im glad he is here, even though its hard to spend a lot of time due to Covid. He has adjusted very well.

The worst year ever because of Covid but not for mom because in memory care she was still able to be around the other residents and not suffer from the isolation so many seniors in assisted living have endured.The way the community as a whole has handled the pandemic has just been outstanding.Mom will receive her second round of the vaccine this week way ahead of some other assisted livings.The staff are always friendly and helpful and go out of their way so we can talk to mom or drop off things. Sherry, the director of memory care, is outstanding.She works so hard and alongside her staff to make sure everything is the way it should be.I have quite a bit of experience with memory care as we moved mom here from memory care in Virginia and I looked at every possible place.Sherry and her team at Heritage Oaks make me feel my mom is well cared for and happy and I dont worry about her there.That makes it so we are all living our best lives!

Sherry the Memory Care Director and Kathy the Executive Director and their Staffs are THE VERY BEST! My Mom spent the last couple years of her 99+1, 2 years surrounded with loving CNAs, Nurses, even the Dining Services Staff made personal fusses over Miss Patty. The residents became like Family to her, too! I wish I could praise HO, MC more highly!

As a visiting nurse going into assisted living facilities in the area, I have seen them all. THIS is the place that I would choose if or when I needed more help. First of all it is a beautiful building. Housekeeping keeps it sparkling clean and it is well decorated and I would be proud to call it home! The apartments are spacious and bright and one can bring their own furniture if they choose-or the facility will provide it. However, the staff is what really makes the difference. They are caring and competent and truly care for the residents. Sean, the director of nursing is very knowledgeable and compassionate and advocates for his staff so that they have what they need to be happy and feel respected in their jobs. I have seen him personally step up and take over when the situation arises. They have a chef who works hard to accommodate finicky palates. The activities director keeps the residents as busy as they want to be with games, cooking lessons (and treats) and other inside activities and the bus driver is there to take people to their doctors appointments and on nice little outings. Even the girls at the front desk make you want to put up your feet and sit a while in the well appointed front lobby. They deal with the questions and needs of the residents and incoming visits with warm smiles. I literally cannot think of one negative thing at this place.

My father spent the last 4 years of his life at Heritage Oaks in Englewood , FL. He suffered from Alzheimers and resided in their memory care unit. The care he received was loving and respectful.nitially my mother was the only local family. She was welcomed into the Heritage Oaks environment and was a frequent visitor. The care and love from staff was extended to her as well.Other family members moved into the area and became frequent visitors. Then COVID-19 hit!Visits were scheduled and staff did all they could to keep lines of communication open. Who knew Dad could FaceTime?! We took comfort knowing he was being well cared forUnfortunately Dads disease progressed and he was transitioned into a hospice program. The perk to this was we could physically visit him!! His last days at Heritage Oaks were spent with family and staff - all showing him love. The level of care and professionalism from staff, for my dad and my family, was incredible!!!! Thank you all!

I cant say enough about the love and care my dad receives as a resident of Heritage Oaks Memory Care. I am fortunate to visit frequently. I am always amazed with the staffs interaction with the residents. Some days are harder then others and some days it seems like you could never have enough staff. Having cared for my dad numerous days a week before he went into memory care, I can say that it is one of the hardest jobs in the world. Sherry Blanchard is the backbone who manages the staff with a smile every day and a hug for the residents.

There are activities for each resident depending their individual needs and the people are friends with each other, calling Heritage Oaks home. This doesnt happen at most facilities and our entire family appreciate Sherry and the staff there to make it such a beautiful, safe place.

I go to Heritage Oaks several times a week to see residents for physical therapy. I enjoy and actually get excited to see the residents and staff. The residents and staff are like a beautiful blended family. The love care and compassion I see by the patients and residents on a daily basis is incredible.

We have had a great experience since moving my mother to memory care here!I have been able to see mom by way of gate visits and each time she looks amazing and well!Sherry, the memory care director must have the hardest job in the building doing all she does!She is always hands on working along side her staff-seems like shes there all the time!I have about 3 years of memory care experience with my mom from a facility in Virginia for a year and a half and two here in Florida over the past year and a half. I am extremely picky and careful about who gets to care for my mom and we have found Heritage Oaks to be the best in the area!

We want to express our heart-felt appreciation for all that Sean Krasensky, Director of Resident Care and his medical staff do on a daily basis. Our friend has been at Heritage Oaks for eighteen months and the care he has received has exceeded our expectations especially during those times of difficult situations. The expertise, professionalism and commitment exhibited by Sean and his staff has pleasantly surprised us and is much appreciated. They have gone the extra mile time and time again and the positive results is very evident in the health improvement of our friend residing there especially from where he was originally at two other facilities. A 99th birthday is a significant milestone. Thanks to the thoughtful, caring efforts of Heritage Oaks Memory Care Director Sherry Blanchard and her staff, we were able to celebrate the unique event of my mother-in-laws 99th birthday with cake and gifts and much singing and rejoicing, all while maintaining necessary protocols for the health and safety of all Heritage Oaks residents. Thank you, Sherry, for finding a way to accommodate this compassionate care need within the constraints of current policies. We are so grateful that Heritage Oaks Memory Care provides the best of care for daily needs as well as for exceptional moments.

My uncle moved into Heritage Oaks in February. He was put in Memory Care but just today he was moved into Assisted Living. They take really good care of him there. Laundering his clothes every other day and changing sheets every week. He loves his M&Ms and they make sure his candy dish is filled every couple of day. He can be a little ornery at times but Sherry has been so good and patient with him. He loves the food there. He enjoys the entertainment when they were allowed to come into the home. Hopefully soon they will be able to return. Very pleased with the service we have had from All the staff members.

My husband is in the Memory Care Unit. As difficult as it was to have him admitted, i knew he would get the care he needed that i could no longer provide, as well as the stimulation he needs for his dementia caused by Parkinsons. The facility is beautiful and well cared for. I have found the staff to be caring, responsive and loving to the residents, from the manager, Sherry, to all the assistants. Sherry manages the unit so the residents are given the level of care that will be the most advantageous for them Any questions I have had were answered and explanations were given concerning procedures. My husband was seen by his personalphysician recently, after being in Heritage Oaks for a month, the doctor was very pleased with his condition, he said he looked as good as he had 10 years ago. The doctor attributed it to the diet he receives as well as the physical and mental exercises he participates in. i highly recommend Heritage Oaks. During Hurricane Irma Heritage Oaks Assisted Living & Memory Care had only been open for just one week. We had several dozen residents already living with us and it was unanimous that we stay put at the community as we all felt it was the safest place to be. We invited over 25 resident family members to stay with us, the local fire department even dropped off a few people that needed a safe place to stay as well. It turned out to be a true testament to the strength of the community, the residents, family members and especially the staff who spent over 48 hours at Heritage Oaks ensuring the safety of the residents. If you are looking for a state of the art, beautifully decorated and landscaped community with a loving, caring staff than this is the place to be.

My mother moved to Heritage Oaks and she is an entirely different person. She laughs, feels better, tells me about all the nice people she is meeting and she absolutely loves the staff. From the time I took a tour and met Kim (Director) I knew this is where my mother would be happy. The apartments are adorable. The building is quiet and extremely clean. My mother goes to the dining room for three meals a day and loves the food. She exercises every morning, plays bingo, enjoys the social hour with singing on Wednesday nights and the ice cream socials on the weekend. She tries to fit other activities in her busy schedule. She has actually kicked me out because she had to go to bingo. I wish I knew every ones name but Kim, Sherry and Sherry who lead the activities, Mimi the RN and Lauren who is the concierge are very special people and treat the residents with the utmost respect. As I walk around there are a lot of other people who I dont know but they all say hi. I am so happy I found Heritage Oaks.Mary Sorgenfrei

Our family is very grateful to Heritage Oaks for the loving care they took of my mother after her stroke. Each day we visited her we were greeted with a smile and found the staff to be attentive, caring and knowledgeable with regard to my mothers needs and comfort. They all work very hard to get to know each resident and their specific personalities. The facility itself is bright, inviting, and kept very clean and in good repair. I would recommend Heritage Oaks to anyone seeking loving care from professionals for their family member needing to be cared for away from home.

I never thought I would be living in assisted living. My husband and I are 85 and thought it would best for us to find a place. We came to Heritage Oaks September 2017. We are so happy that we did. All the employees are so nice and helpful. It is so nice. It would be hard to find a place like this. We have seen a few and they can not compare.There are activities you can participate in if you like, but if it is something you dont want to do you dont have too.The food is very good. I know everyones tastes are not the same. we sure have no complaints.If anyone is looking for a place for their self or for love ones I HIGHLY recommend Heritage Oaks Assisted Living and Memory.
