Placing someone you care about in a facility has been one of the most difficult things I have ever had to do. It was stressful and overwhelming. When it was time to choose a place, Heritage stood out. In fact, I had three appointments scheduled with Heritage the first visit. I went to the second facility and immediately cancelled the third. We knew without a doubt that Heritage was the place. Mary, the director, is so wonderful. She takes the time to see you and explain. You feel at home. The staff are wonderful. The facility is beautiful and clean. The food and kitchen/wait staff are all wonderful and go above and beyond. There is something always going on as far as activities and things to do for the residents. And, of course, it's on the river with beautiful water views. Sunset is gorgeous. You can sit on the dock or in one of the many seating areas to watch it set. I am so glad that this is the place for my friend!

My mom is in the memory care unit, and the caregivers in there are caring and very special people. I really don't know how they do it, it is such a hard job. Last summer, my then 92 year old Dad requested I see if there were any vacancies at Heritage Waterside for him. Only living about a mile away, he had heard only good comments over the years about the facility and he was ready to make a transition from living alone in his townhome after my mother passed away four years ago. From the moment I met Director May Noss and the other assistants, I could see why Heritage Waterside has the great reputation that it does. The place is immaculate, the staff is super friendly, the food is delicious and the events scheduled for the residents (and their families) are fun and creative. There are many other amenities I could mention all of which make life at Heritage Waterside a wonderful luxury home for a loved one! They made the transition for my Dad a welcoming one. He soon found himself making new friends, attending recreational classes and enjoying his new forever home. Living in Fort Lauderdale and not being there for my Dad every day, I am so happy to see and hear how happy he is with his new life. When leave him after a visit, it is a comforting feeling knowing he is in good hands and surrounded by people that really care about his health and well-being. We have been so impressed with the care provided to my father-in-law since he moved in 2 1/2 months ago. Everyone from the Director Mary, the healthcare providers, the dining and kitchen staff, the housekeeping staff, and the maintenance/technical staff, have gone out of their way to help him settle in and get comfortable. There has been full, open communication and all of our questions are answered quickly. The food has been very good with choices available at lunch. When dad has not felt like going down, they bring meals to him and they have even given him meals and snacks at off hours. We have witnessed the staff's care of people who need additional help. They even gave guest suites available at a reasonable rate for visiting family. Our son stayed there and was very comfortable. I think those bad or mediocre reviews must have been before the change in management staff.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! My Mom has now been at Heritage Waterside for a year. She wasn't thrilled about moving here at first because she didn't want to leave her friends back home, but my Mom needed help with her medicine. Mary and her team at Heritage Waterside made the move as easy as possible. They allowed us to make major changes to the room we chose for my Mom (knocked out a wall, added a closet) and were so very welcoming to my Mom. The maintenance team is excellent and any maintenance requests are handled promptly. Darrell, her main med tech contact, is outstanding! I live up north, so when I come visit, I actually stay in my Mom's room for days at a time. This allows me to get a really good feel for daily life at HW. The actual facility is beautiful and very well kept. The med techs on her floor are caring and helpful. The ladies at the front desk are lovely. The servers are kind and considerate and the chefs prepare very good meals! My Mom uses Kelly, the beautician, for haircuts and manicures. Kelly is friendly and very caring. Being able to schedule an appointment with the facility Doctor, who will come to my Mom's room, is also very helpful. The Physical Therapist will also come to the room or my Mom will go to their office on the ground floor. There are activities available and outings to local shopping areas. The housekeeping staff keeps my Mom's room clean and her laundry is washed once a week. I am highly pleased and know that my brothers and I made the right decision to bring my Mom here. My older brother lives 10 minutes away, so that was also a deciding factor. My Mom now really likes it at HW and has made some nice friends. Of course, no place is perfect and there have been some minor areas of concern. What I can say, is that Mary and the staff have always been receptive to concerns and/or constructive criticism. They have listened and done their best to make improvements when able. Overall, I am very comfortable with the care my Mom receives here. Even in the one year she has been here, my Mom has needed to have extra care. I really like that they offer the ability to help my Mom age in place. The staff here shows loving concern to the elderly in our society. I see that in the care they give to my Mom. I'll finish this review how I started - I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Heritage Waterside!!

My 79 year old brother is looking forward to moving in this April. About a year or more ago we visited 5 facilities in Florida. My brother was not quite sure about moving from his apartment in a senior community to independent/assisted living. Now after having a health issue from covid, and a stint in rehab, he is ready. Mary and her staff stood out from any place we visited. The vibe and the acumen and concern and personal attention was what we felt and noticed. And my brother is a foodie, and he gave high praise and a thumbs up only to Heritage Waterside. And lastly, he always dreamed of living by the beach and now his room will have a beach view and the beach is only blocks away.

My mom has been at Heritage exactly one week. It took months to move her from an assisted living in another state due to one medical issue after another. Mary the executive director worked with me for months. Before mom arrived Mary was literally under the adjustable bed I bought trying to make it work! She knows every resident and is always kind and helpful. Like Mary , all of the staff from the housekeepers, med techs, and restaurant staff are kind and caring. It shows that attitude comes from the top down. Mom feels welcomed by all of the staff and the other residents. The building is beautiful and fronts the intercostal. It is also immaculate. My moms walker broke my flip flop and I was forced to walk without my shoes to my car. My feet were not a bit dirty. There are three doctors to chose from and they see her in her room. . I am delighted that I found a home for my mom and not a Facility.

My Mother-in-law has lived at Heritage Waterside since February of 2020. This is a wonderful place that cares deeply for all their residents. From the Nursing Staff to the Cafeteria staff everyone is caring and helpful. My Mom-in-law is very happy there and tells us that she feels loved. Whenever I have a question the Director and staff are happy to help me. We have also had great interactions with the maintenance staff. They have helped with TV connection and remote controls. If you have a family member that needs assistance Heritage Waterside will give you true peace of mind. We are so grateful to have our 90 year old Mother being taken such great care of! First I would love to start off by saying Happy Mother's Day to all the Mother's at Heritage Waterside. I was able to see how compassionate my wife and her team were this weekend for the heartfelt families who were struggling with their loved one being sick on this Mother's Day ! She and her team worked daylight to dark to make sure that the residents who are sick are cared for in the most caring, loving, and compassionate way. For those families looking for a place for your loved one I personally do not think that you will find any other facility to care for your family member the way the staff at Heritage Waterside does. Her team work's 24/7 to make sure that every resident is taken care of to the point that even when they are off they are brainstorming on better ways to do things. You will not find a team out there that has the hearts that this team has. If you want your loved one cared for Heritage Waterside is for you. All the departments from dietary, housekeeping, maintenance, activity department, reception, Wellness staff and the business office work together to make sure everyone is cared for in the most respectful. way- All I ever hear my wife say is you better treat our family with LOVE and COMPASSION! Heritage Waterside is like a dream come true! Everyone that works here truly care. Very Clean!! So many activities! The dining room is like a fancy restaurant! We spent many weeks touring facilities. No place was even close to this. We almost didn't come tour because we thought it was going to be way to much money. PLEASE be sure to GO TOUR!!! The prices were very much lower then you would think. We were shocked that the prices were much less than some of the other not so nice places. We are so happy we chose this place for my father in law. We are very picky and involved with the care of him. We are very comfortable and know he is safe here. The maintenance is top notch! They do laundry and the clothes are folded perfectly and shirts hung and even buttoned on the hangers!! Bedding is always fresh and the room cleaning is done and always perfect! They check the trash cans every day!. The chef and meals are like a restaurant! The nurse Michelle is very caring! The one thing that stood out when we first moved him in was all the employees knew his name. Mary the Executive Director is like family now. She goes out of her way to help with any and everything. It doesn't matter what day of the week or time of day she always always returns calls or is available when you need her. We have been here since July 2023. One more thing all the other residents here all are happy . This place does NOT feel like Assisted Living it feels like HOME. We love Heritage

Absolutely the best and most caring staff you will find!! No need to look any further. After touring the facility, which is outstanding, and meeting many of the staff, we decided Heritage Waterside was going to be mom's new home. Mom's move in date was several weeks away. Unfortunately, before mom was able to move in, she had an incident and her move in was going to be delayed weeks and possibly months until she recovered in rehab. I reached out to Mary, the Executive Director and let her know the sudden change of plans. She was very understanding and compassionate and we agreed to cancel the move in and restart the process at a later date. Mom needed rehab to get her back on her feet. Because of Mary's compassion and kindness she showed us when we first met, I felt I could contact her for some advice for some care mom needed. She immediately responded and treated us as if we were family members. Mary and the staff at Heritage Waterside went far beyond anything I was expecting. On our behalf, they made phone calls, contacted doctors, nurses and other facilities. We are absolutely blown away by their kindness and willingness to ensure mom was going to get the absolute best care she should. Mom isn't even a resident, yet they went above and beyond to help us out. This is who they are at Heritage Waterside - wonderful, caring, compassionate folks. Rest assured, your loved ones will be well care for at Heritage Waterside. I look forward to the day mom can leave rehab and experience Heritage Waterside. Thank you Mary, and staff!

Our mother has stayed at Heritage Waterside for a few years until recently, when she had to be moved to long-term care. We cannot say "thank you" enough for the love and care they provided for mom while she was there. Mom wanted to stay in FL while we were in NC. The distance was challenging but she was happy in the warmer climate. The staff treated her like family. And when we visited, we could see how much they cared for her. Heritage Waterside and its extraordinary staff earned this 5-star rating. They wisely guided my family to help us make many hard decisions on behalf of my mother. Seven weeks after mom's arrival, I am happy and still confident with our decision to move her into Heritage Waterside. I have reflected many weeks on why Heritage Waterside is so exceptional and came up with three reasons. First is the leadership. With a cadre of 5 to 6 senior employees, this organization is well trained and has hired remarkable people who are ready to go above and beyond in helping their residents. Second is the genuine sense of community between the staff and the residents. It is truly a joy every time to hear my mom so exceedingly complimentary about her daily interaction with one of the employees. The staff models patience, respect and kindness and upholds the dignity of all the residents. More than once, I have asked myself where do these incredibly good people come from? How did management find this caring talent? Third is quality. Heritage Waterside is top notch born of high standards, attention to details, and quality training. The facility is beautiful and integrates gorgeous views of the Halifax River. The rooms are spacious, and the amenities and planned activities approach those of a cruise ship. And then there is the cuisine... superb! The chefs and wait staff ensure gourmet eating experiences. Again, it is a joy to hear my mom praise the delicious dining. I know this is a long review, but I must share one last perspective told by one of the care providers. She said she is still learning, but three things she knew with all her being are: God is good; this place is safe for your loved ones; and the people who work here will do their very best to take care of the residents.

I was well guided by Desiree Vilanova in choosing Heritage Waterside for my aging parents’ assisted living residence. The facility is very well managed. My questions and requests are answered quickly. The COVID-19 pandemic has been expertly handled, with precautions proactively put in place. The residence is very attractive in a beautiful setting, kept immaculately clean by caring staff. My parents have been pleased with the quality of meals served. I am pleased with the degree of safety assisted living has provided my parents. While they lived independently in their own home well into old age, they became less able to manage activities of daily living. Their decision to move to Heritage Waterside has met their needs and enabled my family to better care for them and enjoy with them this time in their lives.

Heritage Waterside has been a blessing for our family and I can’t recommend them highly enough. When my 96-year-old dad started to fall and need additional help in his day to day activities, a friend recommended the Heritage. Dad was reluctant to move (probably due to a preconceived notion of what assisted living facilities were like decades ago), but once he took the tour and saw his unit, he embraced every aspect of AL. From the staff, who truly care, the meals in the restaurant, and all the activities, they make every resident live a life filled with dignity and independence in a safe environment. We couldn’t be happier!

Heritage Waterside is an amazing family community. The staff members are kind and caring with the residents, they are very pleasant and offer many activities on a daily basis. The staff have great interaction with the residents throughout the day in helping them with what ever their needs might be even if it is reading or sitting quietly with them. The residents always appear happy and content. They enjoy the activities room, art room, movie room and especially the card room. These rooms are where the residents bond as a family and have a great time. When I come to work at Heritage Waterside I have to pinch myself and say am I really working in such a wonderful place. Not only do I get to work here I get to spend my day with the residents pretending we are at Disney every day. The interactions that we have like being able to exercise, dance and even fish on the dock with Frank day is amazing. Wake me up, I am finished dreaming, I really do work at an amazing place. I love each and every one of our resident which we I call family. There is not a day that I wake up that I do not say how blessed I am to work for such a great family oriented organization.

Heritage waterside I have been a resident since May 2019. My stay here has been most enjoyable, being at two other locations before this really makes a big difference in what we have here. It is great to be a part of this Group especially the activities that they have; we play bingo, we do bowling on the Wii and many other activities. The bus takes us to Walmart, Publix and other activities throughout the community. There are many other things to do here we go for walks in the area, we go out on the dock on the river two or three times a week and we play lawn bowling as well as miniature golf with the activities director. The food is great and housekeeping is excellent all rooms are well-kept. There are many other things that we do here that really make the stay worthwhile. Sonny G

My husband and I were at Heritage Waterside for four months after he had a stroke and until he passed away from a heart attack. The staff and everything about the assisted living facility was wonderful. We could not have had a better or more helpful place to spend our last four months together after being married for 57 years. The other residents were friendly and interesting. The location is wonderful, a quick walk to Daytona Beach and on the Halifax River. The staff is available when needed but not intrusive. The facility is clean and the food and food service is excellent. I highly recommend Heitage Waterside to anyone needing an assisted living facility.

I stopped by for a tour, was greeted by friendly staff, and was escorted through one of the most gorgeous and unique properties senior living has ever offered . This is a place you can feel good about your loved one making there home.
