This place is so disgusting they have the residents sitting in pee and waste all day it’s so sad how these Haitians work it’s not fair that’s why they have sores on them they all stick together they are nasty . I went to check on a patient at Artis on Davie Road and I was disgusted she smelled so bad waste was in her for hours they walk around no one watching them it’s just so unfair to have these elderly people in such situations they are there so you can take care of them or hire more people it’s sad they need some one from the state to pop up and see how those people hasn’t been changed since morning it was from 1pm til 6 pm they never change her this isn’t a good place for your love one over and over the same thing and they have 5 stars that’s a lie . Never again will I volunteer at this place it’s unbelievable and heartbreaking . The patients need to be changed 3 times or more a day just sad . I wish I can rate no stars.

My dad has lived at Artis for 1.5 years, and I couldn't be happier. He is never lacking attention or care, and I visit often. I've never seen staff respond harshly to a resident, and staff seem to know every resident's name whether they work with them directly or not. A few shout-outs to my favorite people…Blondie, thank you for always making me laugh at reception. Gavin, Veron, and Florentina, thanks for being so on top of my dad's medical needs, medical care, and evolving needs for support and medication adjustments. Thank you to Evelyn and all care team members in Sunshine Ranches—you're friendly and responsive always! And a shout out to the activity leader!!! You're a doll!

My wife, Carol, had a form of Dementia, and she went to Artis-Davie on January 2, 2022. She passed away on July 4, 2023 and I will be forever grateful for the loving care she received during the last year and a half of her life. I could not have asked for more kindness and compassion shown to me by the staff at Artis-Davie including the Executive Director and even the Chef. I moved my father to Artis after he was suffering in another facility's memory care unit. My dad was having outbursts, tried to escape the memory care wing daily, and begged me to take him away every time I saw him or spoke to him on the phone I moved him to Artis and there was an IMMEDIATE change in my dad's personality. He was calm, happy, never once complained of wanting to leave. He was welcomed by the staff with such open Artis that it made me tear up. Artis truly cares about its residents and family. The staff keeps family up to date on everything. The facilty is immaculate, every staff member is beyond attentive and caring. The open concept environment clearly has n immense positive impact on Alzheimer's patients and is designed to fit their needs and allow them to have freedom while keeping them safe. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my dad during the final months of his life.

Upon recently visiting for the first time, being I work in home care, I noticed how amazingly clean and well kept the facility appears on the inside and outside. What I enjoyed most was seeing the differently decorated quarters so one would know how to return to their area and the creatively decorated frames at each individual's door. Hillary is so sweet and informative and provided me with a grand tour of the place. I will definitely be recommending to anyone in need!

I can only tell you the relief I felt after placing my mother at Artis. We were at a different memory care facility and you couldn't help but feel sad and guilty just going in. I toured everywhere in south Florida. Artis has a knowledgeable staff and they are true professionals. Everybody there knows my mom by name. The facility is beautiful and is sensibly designed with the hub in the center. Activities are available throughout the day. There are many spaces available on the property - some of the memory units are just a wing of a building. Here they can enjoy outdoors. You can stay busy all day long there. Nobody likes placing their loved one, but I do feel confident that my mom is in the very best place she could be.

I am a healthcare professional and have my doctorate in physical therapy and have had the great pleasure to work as a physical therapist in the community I grew up in for over 2 decades. I have come across many facilities in my career and Artis is one of the best I have ever worked with. Healthcare is extremely challenging, but I believe Artis is successful in their care of their residents because they use highly skilled professionals that still remember to treat patients like their own family. I have watched the executive director, Sheryl, and the director of nursing Gavin, lead by example. From my observation, they tirelessly put all of their energies into their patients, the quality of life they are getting and the importance of communal support. When the staff and patients succeed within their scopes you can feel the joy from the top to the bottom, and when the staff or patients are in need you can feel the pain and angst from every staff member motivated to help them resolve whatever issues they may be dealing with as soon as safely possible. When the very top of leadership demonstrates this compassion, skill and care the trickle down effect is tremendous. This is evident in every position at Artis from the nurses, to the caregivers, to the kitchen staff, to the activities staff, marketers and the administration. It is no wonder they are all so valued and integral to having this experience be such a wonderful one for the families, providers and patients alike. From the moment you enter the building until the minute you leave you can't help but feel the sense of community, pride, protection, compassion and skill. As a healthcare professional it is inspiring and encouraging to see, and makes me want to be that much better for my patients to keep pace with such an amazing environment. From my experience, progressive memory diseases/deficits can be devastating to a patient's life and they often greatly impact not only the patient but the wonderful families that just want the best for their loved ones in need. I am appreciative to see that Artis has not only expressed that they are willing to help provide the best quality of life for these patients and families that they can but they have demonstrated this with their actions, time and time again, in my opinion.

My brother has Alzheimer's, and I couldn't think of a more perfect place for him. I am consistently impressed by all the staff. When you walk in you find family. You see the hugs and smiles from employees, residents and family members. Our family toured six different facilities that specialized in memory care in Boca Raton, Ft. Lauderdale, Pompano Beach and Davie, Florida. Artis Senior Living in Davie was by far the facility that had the most to offer- excellent facilities, programming for residents, expertise and quantity of staff, positive culture of caring, good location, beautiful outdoor areas and everyone that worked there had a positive, caring attitude. It was a difficult decision to move our mom out of an independent living residence to a memory care residence but Artis made the decision easier because we felt that our mom would be well taken care of physically, mentally and emotionally. The residence seems well run, professional, super clean and well maintained. From the team that provides the day to day care to the management staff, everyone is working together to make sure that my mom is doing well and that our family is comfortable with the care Artis is providing. She has only been at Artis for a week or so but so far it has been a smooth transition and we feel good about our decision to select Artis Senior Living of Davie.

My mom has been a resident at Artis for a little over a year. As a nurse, I am extremely aware of what makes a facility outstanding. Artis definitely meets those requirements. After looking at several facilities, Artis stood out against all the others and to this day I still feel I made the best choice. In addition to having outstanding staff who truly care about the residents and family, the fact that Artis is a dedicated facility for memory care and not just a single ward of a bigger facility truly improves the quality of care. I think one of the best feelings you can have when you have a loved one in a facility is to be able to trust that even when you are not there they are being well cared for. I have that peace and mind with Artis. The staff is readily available and even provide their personal cell phone numbers. The leadership team listens to any concerns you may have and works to resolve them. There is a weekly activities schedule and they really encourage the guests to participate. Artis has medical staff visit the residents on a regular basis if you want including dental and podiatry. After a medical visit the Artis team or the provider themself always calls to give you an update. Throughout the pandemic, they have also handled all the challenges and changes very well and have remained transparent and kept the families informed.

My husband was in a different facility for a year. For about nine of those months, I was waiting for Artis of Davie to open. At the previous facility I spent five hours a day driving there and back to give him something to do every evening. I took him for walks, which wasnt done there. I took him outside, which wasnt done there. They kept the doors locked to prevent residents from going out on the nicely landscaped patio. There were a few shelves with puzzles and coloring pages but these were never used, so I showed him how to put the pieces of a puzzle together and we played some easy games. Residents sat in chairs all day, mostly watching TV and old movies with a few visits by performers or staff to engage them, but the majority were asleep in their chairs. I constantly asked for more activities and they told me that if I didnt like it there, I should move my husband, so I did! He was the third resident to move into Artis of Davie. Everything wrong at the first place was just the opposite at Artis. I go often to see my husband and am constantly amazed by what I see. They are baking cookies for their snack time. They planted tomatoes and herbs for their salads. They do wonderful arts and crafts and play educational and memory games. Staff will bring everyone into the activities and help them participate to the best of their abilities. Residents help each other, talk to each other, and it feels like a family when you go there. Staff is outstanding in all their encounters with residents and visitors and keep me informed about everything I would need to know. Everywhere I go, I share the name of the facility, because its absolutely impossible that there could be a better place.
