My mother Dorothy Chapman called Aldea Green Home for nearly 6 years. The staff was always encouraging her to participate in activities that would he's social, as well as physical to maintain a level of strength and health as she continued to age. She recently has passed and so many staff members have shown compassion and it's so obvious that they truly develop connections and care about those they serve that are residents there. I received a beautiful flowering plant in memory of my mother from them. They are so thoughtful with their handwritten sentiments in the car attached. Thank you to all of you who cared for my mother while at your assisted living facility. No words can truly show the gratitude that I have for you all. Sonia

During my father's two-year stay at Aldea Green, which initially showed promise, the experience soured following their Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Communication breakdowns became the norm, and several instances of my father being transported to the hospital without me receiving any notice raised serious concerns due to him having dementia. The activities were reduced and subpar, unanswered cleanliness issues, and unresponsive management added to the frustration. It became evident that some staff members were definitely underpaid and possibly overworked, impacting their attitudes and overall dedication. The front desk's weekend receptionist created an unwelcoming environment and couldn't even be bothered to look up and say "hi" when families were walking in. Higher-ups, including the director, lacked essential skills needed for such a position, as corroborated by other family members and medical personnel that provided services for the community. In the end, the only effective method of communication was having to directly contact the higher-ups that were regionally responsible for Aldea. While there were a few dedicated staff members, the majority displayed a concerning lack of empathy and work ethic. My father's departure, attributed to his behaviors, exposed flaws in their handling procedures, which put him through some distressing predicaments. Fortunately, he is now in a facility that genuinely prioritizes his well-being and can handle his dementia. This facility may cater adequately to mobile, mentally sound elderly residents, but it falls short when it comes to providing proper care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's, even in their early stages. This review aims to shed light on these critical issues for the benefit of other families considering this facility. Lastly, I'd like to add that when employees of the facility have to leave a 5 star review on this Google page to up their rating it proves that they don't have enough happy residents or family of residents willing to do it for them.

Aldea Green is a community that truly cares for their residents and their families. With the understanding that a community like this is "humans caring for humans", perfection is not always achieved, however, the one thing I love is that even if there is a "hiccup" the management staff is quick to address the situation and rectify it to the best of their ability. The transparency throughout the entire process was priceless. All potential residents are assessed prior to moving in to be sure that the community and it's staff are able to meet the needs of the person before they move in. Although my loved one wasn't a good fit based on the assessment from a care standpoint, I truly appreciated the honesty of the nurse about my mother not being appropriate for that environment and that her needs were better met staying in a nursing home. I had other communities assess her as well and they seemed to be more concerned with getting her moved in and they would "assess her again to meet her needs". I absolutely did not want to move my already very frail mother around in the hopes that a community to provide the care she needed. Ultimately, my mother spent her final days in a nursing home and based on what we saw as a family, that was the right environment for her for her final months. I am so appreciative that Aldea Green's clinical team as well as it's marketing team weren't more interested in getting a resident right now versus getting a resident that the community was right for. The honesty and transparency was a godsend. Thank you!!

This review reads that Douglas Baker is writing it when in fact it is his wife Mary. I have nothing but great things to say about Aldea Green. Their staff is warm, friendly and very caring about their residents. The turn over of employees is slim so I have had the privilege of working with the same staff for 5 years. That says a lot. They are always available when I have a concern about my friend and are quick to remedy the situation. They have lots of fun activities to participate in and provide Theme Nights which include the families. The dining room is exceptional as well. You can order off the menu or you can get exactly what you want, a hamburger, soup or any type of sandwich. According to my friend the food is delicious. I have never seen her eat so much! lol I want to give a shout out about their cleaning services as well. They clean rooms weekly, but if something arises and you need them any other time, they are always willing to get on it right away. My friend is so happy with her new living conditions and I couldn't be happier for her. Thank you Aldea Green!!

Fuzzy Friends Pet Care

My Grandmother lived here from Aug 2012 to June 2018. When she first moved in it was Emeritus. Our overall experience with facility was excellent. It was a bit rocky when Brookdale took over but everything eventually smoothed out. The nursing staff was very attentive and helpful especially Wendy. The front desk person was always helpful. Tony, the most recent front desk person in 2018 is awesome. He is always personable, helpful, and professional. After my Grandmother was admitted to the hospital and then sent to rehab, the staff were always asking how she was doing, said they missed her, and even went to see her at her new location. Sadly, my Grandmother is too ill to return to Brookdale but me and my family are thankful for the 6 years she was there and everything the staff did for her and her cat Katy. Thank you Brookdale!

The staff was very helpful when I visited on my tour I Decided to put my loved one here It's been two months and I go every week and my loved one likes it and I liked it also and the staff are allways helpful and nice and caring.
